Makes consecutive attacks grow stronger in mixed physick.

Thorny Cracked Tear is a Crystal Tear in Elden Ring. Crystal Tears can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to enhance its effect.

A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction makes consecutive attacks grow stronger the longer they continue. However, the effect lasts only for a short time.

      For a good time try:
      Eleonora's Poleblade + FGMS
      This + flame-shrouding tear
      Millicent's + winged sword + lord of blood's + shard of alexander
      L2L2L2L2
Number go up monkey brain happy

I am such a dumbass for over 400 hours. For the longest time, I thought this lasted 30 seconds just like the Stonebarb Tear because of the similar wording of "...lasts only for a short time". If I didn't happen to look through the Tears on the wiki, I would have been completely oblivious and never used this Tear.

        This changes everything!

Combining this with either of the insignias or the prosthesis on a fast weapon is so damn satisfying. Sure it’s only really useful in PvE but idgaf I’m still in love.

          • This + Millicent's Prosthesis + Rotten Winged Sword Insignia = an effective 20% | 29% | 50% damage boost that you don't need to actively cast and gain passively for being hyper aggressive with fast weapons. Kind of bonkers.

Does dragon communion inc and bloodboon blood talons swarm of flies get advantage of the damage as well does they count as hits for the effect damage boost?

              • Anonymous

Does this type of effect's stuck with blood and dragon communion incarnation ( breath and dragon maw). Both the damage increase and the buff

For the record, this does NOT count hits of Prelate's Charge between the first and the last. Only the first and last, which are true weapon hits, contribute to the stacking damage. I tested this extensively by holding it until my FP or stamina ran out against the omen by the underground roadside, and a single charge consisting of dozens of "hits" never led to a damage boost.

Does not activate by using Prelates Charge ash of war. Would like to see if other people get the same result

These are some of the damage values I measured while using Ghiza's wheel one-handed R1, while fighting the haligtree soldiers.
                      1203 (1.2*1.2*1.13*1.09)
                      1104 (1.2*1.2*1.13)
                      1064 (1.09*1.13*1.13*1.13 ?) (off by 2)
                      1002 (1.2*1.13*1.09)
                      970 (1.2*1.09*1.09 ?) (off by 4)
                      920 (1.13*1.2)
                      835 (1.09*1.13)
                      814 (1.2)
                      766 (1.13)
                      739 (1.09)
                      678 (baseline)

But note that they don't decay into each other. For instance, I saw 920->814->766->814 (???)->766 -> 678. Yes, it poppped higher without me hitting something.

Does this proc with any attacks within short durations? Or does it mean consecutive presses of the same attack?

                        • Anonymous

Pretty hilarious that it has the same little time warning as the stonebarb cracked tear which only lasts thirty seconds, despite the fact that this one lasts three minutes (same as all the other basic tears).

Does it work with consecutive bow and arrow attacks ? For example if I use Barrage on a locked target , will my damage increase with each successful landed attack? Also if I miss once does the damage reset?

Stacks with Winged Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis, Flame Grant me Strength, and Golden Vow. None of these conflict with eachother. Now thats alotta damage B^)

Does It Also Apply It’s Effects To Weapon Arts That Hit Multiple Times Like Double Slash Or Wild Strikes?

Lasts 3 minutes, definitely more than enough in a boss fight for it to pull its weight in worth esp if you use bestial vitality which conflicts with the hp regen tear

Could anyone test if this works with incantations? Thisd be mad usefull with dragon incantations if it does work

                                    • Anonymous

I did a basic test with fists and the max damage output is around 35% increase. which honestly surprised me compared to the winged sword/ Rotten giving 10%/22%. i havent tried stacking them yet. but if its like the other buffs its probably multiplicative and not additive

This is obtained by defeating the Putrid Avatar of the Minor Erdtree in Consecrated Snowfield. When you arrive at the Minor Erdtree, go clockwise around it until the area to your left opens up, the Putrid Avatar will be there.
