PassiveBeast Claw (Weapon) is a Beast Claw weapon in Elden Ring. It is found in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The Beast Claw (Weapon) scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is weapon that allows the wielder to behave like a beast. This weapon lets you execute a barrage of slash attacks that cause blood loss buildup.

Weapon in the form of a carnivorous beast's vicious claws. Used to perform bestial slashing attacks uncanny to humankind. An imitation of the esoteric technique of the horned warriors. Those who carry this weapon wield it as though they have been possessed by a savage beast.
Where to Find Beast Claw (Weapon) in Elden Ring
The Beast Claw (Weapon) weapon can be found at the following location:
- Drops from killing Logur the Beast Claw in Gravesite Plains in the forest, southeast of the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace. [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map]

Curretly on a new playthrough with these, man never did I feel both so badass yet so weak at the same time.
The moveset is supreme but you really gotta get your dodgin game right because you've got absolutely no hyperarmor on these, everything that can will stagger you out of every move you do.
If you, like me, are used to constantly posebreaking everyones kneecaps before then these will be a challenge since you wont be doing a lot of poise damage.
It's been the most fun I've had in a while playing this game, many trivial encounters became somewhat challenging again, so def give them a try!
I just wouldnt really recommend these for any challenge run or whatsoever, but hey maybe I just need to git gud.

My favorite weapon in the entire game. My favorite weapon USED to be the talon claws because the R2 spam was ridiculous and they look cool is hell.
That is until i found these bad boys. Combat is just so damn fun with these with bloodbound step ash of war on them. Bruh its like watching a DBZ fight with all the zipping and dashing and teleporting around. You gon need HELLA stamina and stamina regen tho. Go through that shizz quick.

Doing the heavy feint into the light backstep atttack feels like Bloodhound's Fang on a claw; it's so good
I don’t know of it’s written in here but there’s an attack you can do, similar to the rapier backstep in the ds games. You charge the heavy and press the dodge button to do a slash and jump backwards. Keep in mind though, it doesn’t have iframes

If you're having trouble finding the guy to get the claws, try coming back to the area during the day. I rode all over the wooded area and couldn't find him, so long it went from night to day and as soon as the time changed I found him almost right next to me.

If you find someone using verdigris you can tell for sure they gonna poise reset to bleed you out. If you happen to counter them with skill they gonna bombard you with the offhand BHB or the Golden Crutch GS

there's no such thing as a backstepping heavy attack, it's just its regular heavy attack
HOWEVER it has a flip attack by holding R2 and O at the same time which counts as a backstep and combos into light attacks

Fun to use but has weak poise damage even after the buff and burns stamina like a colossal.

Probably one of the harder weapons to use in invasions, good chasedowns though. If you like stalking the hosts around it's pretty fun. Also recommended you carry two with the different ashes for the claws to switch it up, I wrack up way more kills that way. Savage for close range, raging beast for the chasedown/range.

Never go for occult or bleed with this weapon; it's a trap. Check the Status MV spreadsheet: all the R1 chains only deal about 50 to 60 MV, so with 85 bleed (80 arcane occult affinity), you only deal 40 to 48 bleed. Instead, use Bloodflame Blade; it isn't affected by weapon status MV and always deals 40 bleed over 2 seconds. With a heavy affinity for Bloodflame Blade, you will deal around 62.5 or more bleed with each hit.

There is a new attack input with these weapons, while charging a heavy attack if you hit backstep/dodge you slash and jump backwards kinda like the bloodhound fang special.

You can somehow do a sweep across the ground, into a backflip that gives you good distance away from the enemy, and quick. But I don't see it here, and I can't replicate it, totally unsure what I pressed to make it happen too...

Came to DLC with Dragon Communion build + Marais Executionner's Sword and just found this treasure (lvl 180 atm). These claws are absolute banger vs little to medium ennemies + exploration. Playing it Occult with Malenia rune + Dragoncrest Talisman + Alexander Shard + Rotten Winged Insignia + Old Lord Talisman (with Blessing's Boon + FGMS / Blackflame Protection.) If you keep a little brain, you just can't die cause of the sustainability the builds provides + if you need to face large groups or a big ennemy, DragonClaw and DragonMaw are still among the best incantations in the game. You can add Scarlet Aonia / Ekzykes to be even more obnoxious vs bosses. Never had so much fun in Elden Ring.

For those of you searching for the NPC who drops it, he's out there, he's just hard to see, you need to go off the road a bit and be sure to check the Fextra Map. if you run around a bit, he will notice you, just watch for when your stamina bar appears to indicate you're aggroed. His naked body blends in with the yellowish grass a bit. There's no special gimmick or ritual you need to try, he's just there wandering the forest, I've experimented. No special "Make the birds leave" blablabla. he's just walking around in the forest, probably just escaped the weapon X facility after causing havoc... probably infused with Adamantium now.. with the amount of health he has I wouldn't be surprised
For people who cannot find the NPC that drops these, it seems you need to go to the stone arches with eagles resting on top of them, approach them and make the eagles screech and fly away. Once you've done this three times, the NPC will appear somewhere in the forest.

Almost 0 reason to run these on Blood infusion when BFB Strength exists. Since statuses get nerfed to 65% on powerstance, these get their Bleed build up reduced to 149 on the first two-handed R1 running 80 Arcane, while BFB R1 deals 138. That is an 8% difference for significantly less damage. Running a Strength Arcane hybrid makes this difference even more apparent.

This is actually better against a bunch of bosses when used in only one hand. Not only are your attacks quicker but your characters duck much lower during the attacks so a bunch of enemies will straight up whiff you. You can duck under Radahn's annoying cross slash with it.

1. Go a full strenght build with Heavy infusion and bloodflame build
2. Go a strenght/arcane split with occult infusion and bloodflame build
3. Go a full arcane build with just a blood infusion and no bloodflame build

As much as I like the beast claw ash of wars you can get for these, endure goes hard, letting you tank a hit then chain a full combo or charge a heavy. Plus putting up your claws in a guard looks cool too.

These are actually really good with bloodhound step. Usually bloodhound step is a terrible choice for fist and claws due to the AOW taking you out of the weapons attack range. But thats not the case for the beast claws since each attack travels a great amount of distance. after using bloodhound step, your able to get right back into attack range immediately with a light attack, and since the attacks are so fast with zero recovery frames, you can use another bloodhound immediately after attacking to get back out before the enemies next attack. Your reflexes and knowledge of enemies attack patterns has to be on point tho.

Bloodflame buff with its natural Savage Claws ash make it deal an insane amount of bleed buildup for minimum Arc investment, since its a ton of layered 40 Bleed over Time applied in such a short burst. It also has pretty great damage for so little MP, so using Blessed Blue Dew Talisman, Alexander Shard and possibly the consecutive hit talismans of your choice while running around spamming Savage will help you just demolish all the humanoid, non-Black Knight poise enemies and most Mausoleum npc bosses while progressing since it just stunlocks them.

Seeing as I'm retired from the souls competitive pvp circuit, I can say this without guilt.
This weapon is the tarnished Uninstaller. In a game full of over powered and simplified I win single button weapons, this one will rule supreme.
Get your kills in now while you can before needing to develop things like spacing, an understanding of meta data and muscle memory flash reflexes.

The one handed heavy is kinda crazy, you duck super low to the ground so a lot of bosses, like Rellana for example, just can't hit you with most of their attacks. I'm sure the two handed heavy is the same, but the single hit of the one handed version feels much more consistent to me to I've been using it like that.

The B Strength scaling on Frost infusion means that my STR build suddenly has access to a fast and mobile weapon that easily procs both frost and bleed. It wrecks Rellana, additionally since all of the attacks makes you basically crouch constantly means that several attacks just pass above you

Use one in the offhand with a Bloodhound's Fang for the true Bloohound Knight experience. Actually a pretty reasonably good offhand weapon because of how much mobility it gives you. Using Bloodhound's Finesse then tapping L1 can get you right into the fray.

I feel like these need a slight buff, they’re fine for most normal enemies and some bosses but other bosses these are next to useless. They either need a damage boost or some life steal feature built in, it’s so easy to be clipped by bosses when entering the attack

The crouch part of the heavy attack ducks under most horizontal attacks in the game, adds a lot of options to your fights.
