Honestly would have been more interesting if they just made a torch with slash/pierce damage lol

I love all things FromSoft but why does this skill exist, it is WORSE than the BASE GAME counterpart which is on a flipping torch!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? The weapon isn't bad, but the skill is just so terrible that it makes me want to pull my hair out. They even gave it a UNIQUE NAME!

This weapon has DC scaling.
Which means, if you are fighting an enemy with this weapon, you need to DC from the game before losing to them.
It would be too shameful to lose for this weapon, don't you think?

Can't believe I got it 1st attempt of backtrack farming, but because I just have to have 2 of every weapon...

Can anyone test if buffing the weapon with bloodflame blade gives bleed to the ash-of-war?

10 Lizard Greatswords and half a mil of runes later I got 2 of them @ 239 Discovery. Worth every second

Blood Flame Blade & Black Flame Blade incantations work with this weapon's ash of war. You can even spread the flames on the ground first then apply the Blood or Black Flame weapon buffs which also causes the ground flames to change retroactively if you wanted to. This ash of war has about twice as much range as Steel-Wire Torch's, ignites all surfaces easily too. I'd say this can cover more area than Bloodboon as well and it's easier to control the flame spread. The Forked-Tongue Hatchet is actually a great weapon. (So enjoy it before it's nerfed...)

In the DLC where they give you weapons that can do 10 billion hit combos and shred your entire health bar, they will give you a miniscule axe that has the torch's fire breather skill, except it does no damage for some reason. Never change, From. Genuinely why I love these games.

"Oh boy a hatchet! Lets see how it... oh, oh no..... "
This weapon is a strange addition by From to be honest, an axe with a range so short it competes not with axes, but dagger ranges. A weapon art that seems to act like a weird mix between blood boon and that one item that spews little magic puddles in the base game, but unlike those two.... where one's range can be adjusted and the other be an "ok" magic damage source, this one is just.... well bad... I would hope to say its fun to use but well... if yoi really want this I say go all in and cosplay the imps that use this, might get a few chuckles from people.
TLDR: Yeah no, unless you are a weapon collecter, dont.
The casual rando rating: 0/10

Horrible weapon, useless in pvp due to range and AOW is terrible.

Leveled this on my quality save thinking it'd be a cool quality weapon and it only ended up being 306 base damage with D Stg and C Dex. Levels with normal smithing stones but cannot be infused

>finally get dragon communion AoW
>on the worst weapon type in the game
thanks mike wazowski. still pretty nice if you want a dragon build without the fth/arc investment of the communion incants
Honestly I see really good potential in this. It's a light axe with 125 base damage and can still be buffed with blood grease to cause blood loss faster. This will probably out damage the basic katana.
