Freyja's Greatsword is a Curved Greatsword in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Curved Greatsword in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Freyja's Greatsword scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is the powerful Weapon wielded by Redmane Freyja. This comes with the Spinning Slash skill which is the favorite skill of dexterous warriors that lets you slash foes as your body spins. This momentum can connect into a final heavy attack.

Weapon of Freyja, a Redmane. Greatsword decorated with a mane, much like the weapons used by her liege. The spirit of Freyja's training lingers in this sword, enhancing the power of Redmane battle skills.

Freyja's Greatsword appears wherever Redmane Freyja dies:

If you gave her Freyja's Letter, you can find Freyja's Greatsword on her body after beating her in the Leda and Allies Boss fight [Map Link] [Video Link]
Otherwise, you can find it by the Storehouse, Seventh Floor Site of Grace after beating the Leda and Allies Boss fight

The damage of Redmane battle skills is increased by 10%. This buff even applies to the other weapon when this one is in your offhand
Skills affected by this passive buff: Flame of the Redmanes, Lion's Claw, Savage Lion's Claw, Roaring Bash
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of Curved Greatswords changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below. Additionally, speed, range, recovery time and guard counter speed of Curved Greatsword weapons has increased.

  personally I would've liked this to have been a paired somber weapon. Imagine doing Lion's Claw but with two swords!

  I like how the dex requirement is lower. Always turned me off the curved greatswords that a lot of them want 16+ dex on a weapon you're going to make heavy anyways...

  Outside of colossal swords and colossal weapons, it has strongest Lion's Claw and Savage Lion's Claw as it only has 10-20 less AR than the best Greataxe or Great Hammer with Heavy infusion, so with the 10% boost it easily out damages them.
  
  Even considering colossal swords, the Guts Greatsword only has 10 more effective AR after the passive boost is calculated in on Lion's Claw, so you are getting about the same damage for 9 less miyazaki units.

  Have had tremendous success with this in 125 and 150 duels. It's shorter by some margin than the Dismounter and Omen Cleaver, but makes up for it in damage on a heavy infusion. Not only that, the boost of +10% to Lion's Claw combined with Alexander Shard turns this weapon into a monster against many opponents. It's a tough skill to hit in PvP, but you can bait people into it or catch panic rolls no problem. One hit does something like 1200-1400 damage, usually enough to end the fight.

  At 50/50 Arcane and Strength this weapon in a Blood Infusion has an AR in the 620s, only being a measely 20 or 10 less than its Occult version, with a total Blood Loss in the 130s which is high for a Curved Greatsword movespeed. It FEELs powerful for a Blood weapon, however I would like an optimal build to compare it to. Does anyone have the AR stats on a Heavy- Pure Strength or on Strength Faith Sacred/Flame Art/Fire or Strength Int frost/magic? I am not too familiar with how an endgame Curved Greatsword's AR should look like in late game 150 stats.

  For an ideal Radahn cosplay, or if you wanna cosplay genderbent Radahn with Freyja's armor set, Powerstance with Spinning Gravity Thrust as the AOW to mimic Radahn's Gravity spin move. Then add some Gravity spells like Gravitational missile if you have some spell casting to your name.

  There seems to be a bug that causes two swords and armor sets to drop if you don’t progress her quest past the storehouse seventh floor. Not sure what causes it but it has happened on two of my builds.

  Very good weapon heavy infused. Delay the second input of Savage Lion's Claw, and you'll catch many people lacking in PvP. Solid weapon!

  Its best in class lightning infused (851 AR @ 80 Dex, 17 str). Lions claw/ assault and you have a very cool looking lightning weapon with a great AOW & move set.

  You can't kill Freyja at the cross, but you can kill her in the storehouse. Passing her the letter from Ansbach and killing her is probably the best way to go about the quest, since that way you get all her personal belongings plus her wallet before Enir-Ilim all while preventing her from appearing during the gank squad.

  Freyja Greatsword does really work good for any Lion Claw skills while still dealing slash damage.
  
  Almost like the bonus damage is compensating the lower damage against heavily armored enemies.
  
  Of course, using any other skills just for fashion or utility is good, but I still feel like Lion Claws are the best on this.

  Big sad that you pretty much get it at the end of the DLC. Although you can get there pretty fast I you want too, just wish you could obtain it earlier in another way. At that point you've really got no content left to use it for besides PvP or NG+.

  You know it's a Redmane Ash when it shows a Redmane-knight Performing it in the Menu. Flaming Strike is, in Fact, not performed by a Redmane-Knight in the Menu.

  I've seen a lot of discourse on this across the internet, so felt it worth confirming and detailing the process for anyone trying to understand what this weapon buffs.
  
  Thank HECK that this weapon still buffs these skills in the offhand, so testing is as simple as this: equip ash of war on separate weapon. Use it on something. off hand Freya's, use it again.
  
  Did the number go up? Yes? cool it buffs it.
  
  As such, I can safely say that (along with the obvious ones like the Lions Claws and Flame of the Redmane), this sword DOES NOT in fact buff Flaming Strike, unlike what's stated in a comment below.
  
  Testing against a Crab near Agheel Lake South (I started a NG alright), I get these numbers:
  
  Lions Claw: without Sword - > 2219 , with Sword -> 2441 (using a Giant Crusher in main hand)
  
  Flaming Strike: without Sword -> 550 (1441) , with Sword -> 550 (1441) (using a Flaming Strike Nagakiba)
  
  So unfortunately, as great as much as I really wanted to use flaming strike on this, it's just a lions claw/savage lions claw machine, nothing else. (which is still nice, but mannn I really wanted Flaming Strike to count).

  Built for strength, but started building arcane after hitting my cap and *hey* guess what just so happens to still pack a massive wallop while doing fairly good bleed? By far one of the best candidates if you want to be genuinely insane and power-stance curved greatswords, this thing is a monster. Hell I didn't even *know* about the fact that it boosts Redmane tricks, I just saw big number and fell in love.

  This is an absolute unit for strength builds who dig the weapon type/moveset. Slightly lower AR than Beastman's but noticeably longer range that makes it a rollcatch machine in PVP. Alas, dear Cleaver, I shan't see you again.

  Tried testing it out to see if you get a 20% damage damage increase to Redmane skills while dual-wielding. Unfortunately you don't. I am hoping this was an oversight and they notice and patch it. Plenty of other things like the Dragon Communion Seal, which is OP AF, allow their buffs to stack, so this amazing weapon should as well!

  After using it I can say with out a doubt that this weapon is broken both lion claws make this game a joke idk why no talks about it

  Idk if a working list or a new page is in the works for this but:
  It doesn't seem to matter if you are using it as a passive buff, whether it's on your back or other hand.
  Both Lion Claws and FotR are boosted. Flaming Strike is not.
  Rain of Arrows is not boosted on the back. I don't know if this is intentional.
  Spiral Thrust *seems* boosted although I can't get consistent numbers because of how/when it is dealing damage
  Gravitas and Cragblade are not despite Radahn using them
  Additionally, it doesn't seem that any of Radahn's swords get boosted by offhand usage.
  
  I am in the process of testing the full movesets of the redmane knights, but since it's the "knight's moveset" to some extent, I doubt it.

  So people are really underestimating the 10% on this weapon as there's lots of variety in terms of how it is applied. The most obvious benefit would be with Shard of Alexander which is another 15% on top and the 10% from having full HP and the Sword talisman which can get nuts. However it also works on some of the best Ash's of War in PVE which is Flames of the Redmane, Lion's Claw and Savage Lion's Claw. While some faster enemies can easily avoid the Lion's Claw ashes, Flames of the Redmane is crazy even post nerfs and this makes it more nuts. You can then pair with say the Two Handed Sword Talisman which won't enhance the Ash of War but provide a 15% damage boost while duel wielding which then stacks with say the Claw Talisman, the new Crusade Insignia Talisman, Lord of Blood's Exhultation Talisman, etc. I don't wanna say it's so good that you should sprint out to use it, but at least in PvE there's some really silly damage stacks you can do that can make say beast enemies far easier or give you access to a pretty good, jumping, spinning attack without having to do a lot to get value.

  There is no reason to use this other than looks or moveset. This thing is heavier than the Grand Katana, does less base damage and has no bleed. Don't think the 10% increase for Redmane skills can make up for that

  Hmm, needs a list of what skill it boosts. For example the flame of redmanes is a given, so is lion's claw, but what about spinning gravity thrust, or cragblade and etc?

The Moment Is When She Repeats Dialogue About Kindly Miquella And You Have The Golden Lion Shield From Her Quest.
