Omen Cleaver is a Curved Greatsword in Elden Ring. The Omen Cleaver scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for a wielder with great Strength to handle the weight of this weapon and take advantage of its Physical Damage power.

Heavy-bladed curved sword of colossal size awarded to Omen as a tool of war. This weapon is made to take advantage of brute strength.

The pattern etched upon the blade is the remnant of a deteriorating malediction. Indeed, when bestowing a weapon, preparations must be made for taking it away.

  This is pure Strength weapon, despite seemingly Quality scaling. On 40/40 Str and Dex it gets 666 damage two handed and Quality infused. On 60/16 Str Dex it gets 718 damage Heavy infused. Feel the difference. Also, this weapon was made to use Storm Stomp. Heavy infused Omen Cleaver + some resin buff + Storm Stomp + Axe talismsman buffed R2 and you will be sending people back to their worlds in pieces. It slaps. Suggest using Spiked Caestus as your backup weapon for dodgy opponents.

  i like the unique heavy atk on this, great for extending your combo without looking weird. Just 1-3 light atks >heavy> 3 lights feels smooth.

  As a PvPer, it’s not the best weapon out there… but it’s far from the worst. It’s moveset is quite pleasing to look at and getting hits with it. It has a decent capacity to roll catch, plus the swings are wide, which can discourage aggressive players from fishing for backstabs. BUT. My favorite thing is, you can farm as many as you want. I farmed 10 of them, each with a different ash of war. With a little menu swapping, I’ve been REALLY throwing off peoples rhythm. Keep ‘em guessing I say. This weapon though, has easily made it’s way into my top three favorite weapons to use, along with the caestas, and the uchigatana.

  Crazy good weapon. I've got two of them with seppuku.
  In my case with 50STR/50DEX this weapon has better damage than big hammers with double the weight and half the speed.
  Power stance two of them and jumping attacks staggers almost every enemy in the game - including Malenia. One of better weapons in the game in my opinion.

  Took 4 hours farming to get two of these swords to dual-wield at stormveil castle, I was so happy. Then I entered Altus plateau where it's littered with the Omen ogres and they drop two more in 10 minutes. FML.

  "Curved Sword of colossal size" is an average sized curved greatsword, "Is made to take advantage of brute strength" has quality scaling on most infusions, yeah very accurate description there.

  My dex build has 80 dex and 20 strength. When lightning infused the omen cleaver has an AR of 823. The lightning cracked tear puts it up to 904 and the buff from lightning slash and the cracked tear puts it up to 1006.

  this is really good str weapon for pvp when heavy infused, its funtionally a greatsword but with messed up hitboxes and a moveset thats harder to dodge, plus the unique r2 combos really well with storm stomp

  I've had 10 discovery and got ultra rare weapons on first try and I've had max discovery and had to farm for hours. Irrelevant.
  
  Sifting through that garb to find useful comments takes longer than farming the cleaver.

  Very good for pure 80 stat elemental builds, even on lighting infusion (gets around 820 ar on them)
  The unique two handed regular not charged strong attack (and possibly jump attack) also has unique property of dealing higher amount of stagger/stamina damage compared to other curved greatswords to the point of reliably staggering Zamor knights, while also being fairly fast and having faster recovery...
  Now we only need harald curved great sword weapon art as ashes of war in dlc with their armour for a true cosplay.

  Half considering making a themed character based on Inuyasha, use this with the Vacuum Blade AoW and some flavor incantations (Bloodflame Talons, beast incants, etc.) equipped with the Sage set sans the hood, and it's about as close as you can get it.

  This weapon is super good and yes it is better than the dismounter but ONLY if you use it on a strength build. The Dismounter and Omen Cleaver are almost exactly the same except for the omen cleavers 2handed r2 which is pretty good. The thing that serparates the 2 is that the Dismounter scales better with DEX than STR and the Omen Cleaver scales better with STR than DEX. The Omen Cleaver does have a higher base damage than the dismounter but only by a small amount the main reason I chose to dual wield these rather than the Dismounter is because with 60 strength I get a good chunk of physical resistance that DEX does not have. All in all if you plan on doing a dual wield CGS barbarian build then strength is the way to go, although, I'd probably get more use out of the cleaver by 2handing it for the alternate R2 and 50% strength increase. Regardless, if you can get your hand on 2 of these you gotta try dual wielding cuz they are really fun and a surprisingly fast strength weapon.

  I have a 223 discovery level; I started off with 5,000 runes and ended with 225,182 runes and not a single drop. I farmed them at multiple locations and nothing. Exactly HOW is this a 4% drop rate? I have killed hundreds... Seriously.

  This weapon has grown on me for 1v1 duels and is probably one of my favorites right now.
  
  Running attacks and backstep attacks are quick and trade well. You can stagger bull-goat users.
  
  The best part is you can use Spinning Slash on this and it catches players all the time. If someone rolls behind you you can punish them super hard with this and likely kill them in a full combo.

  U can do a 3rd heavy attack when u 1 hand and hold down the button after the first initial heavy and the first heavy doesn't to be held to work either.... so one basically one of the quickest non held heavy into a 3 hit combo ..great for catching people waiting for u to swing

  Due to the way the blade is held in the animation of it's two handed move set this weapon ends up having one of the fastest uncharged R2s in it's class but also the shortest ranged. It has so little wind up it seemed to be almost as fast as a straight or curved sword R2. Great for hitting the heads of giants rather than criticaling them due to the vertical strike and short range.

  At 50 strength 25 dexterity and fire infused it gets 808 AR. If you add flame grant me strength and flame-shrouding cracked tear it gets 1066 AR, its pretty damn powerful.

  Omen enemy with cleaver also spawns at the minor Erd tree to the east of Hermit Merchant's Shack in Altus (which is the closest grace), north of the capital on the way to the Draconic Tree Sentinel. Took around 10 kills to get 2 cleavers from that guy with 190 discovery.
  
  There is also an Omen with the cleaver directly East of the Abandoned Coffin grace, hiding on top of a coffin/wagon. Unconfirmed if he drops it. There are two AXE wielding Omens there so watch out for them.

  Alright this does some insane damage with the flame infusion. You get a massive 520 fire damage at 80 faith. From my testing, very few flame infusions even get to ~480 fire. Couple that with its already high base physical and u get 804 AR! And since your damage is mostly fire, you can stack all the great fire damage multipliers with the good AR multipliers:
  
  Fire talisman: +12% fire = 867AR
  + Flame-Shrouding Crackedtear: +20% fire = 983AR
  + Flame Grant me Strength: +20% fire and physical= 1180AR
  + Golden vow: +12% AR = 1357AR
  + Red Tear stone Ring: +20%AR= 1628AR
  
  Now Flame infusion also gets a special weapon buff with the
  
  + Flaming strike art of war: +??? = 1773AR
  
  Now im going off of estimated AR with the
  
  + Claw Talisman: +15% Jumping= 2,038AR
  + Raptor black Feathers +10% Jumping= 2,242AR
  + Oil Pot: +25% Fire damage = ???
  
  Testing all buffs listed above with 2 flame art Omen cleavers +25 jumping attack, both weapons buffed, and enemy oiled (21STR/16DEX/80FTH)
  
  A Giant troll at the Mountaintops of the Giants : 6812 damage
  
  That is close to max damage double giant crushers? Im not sure with fire immunity and fire damage multiplication. But these things weigh 2/5s the weight and have way more consistent damage. Yall gotta try these babies out that all Im sayin.

  Farming Tips: Use the beast repellant torch to scare off the dog. It works even when twohanding your weapon. Then spam Giant Hunt to knock the Omen silly in no time flat.

  There's another farmable ogre in the catacombs. Maybe drop chances are better, it dropped at the first kill for me. In the corridor with the flaming statue, take the right stairway up. In the next room, the ogre is waiting behind the right wall at the end of the staircase.

  Super fun to farm, except it isn’t. the entire time a buff a** dog is trying to kill you, on top of the massive demon swinging a sword at your throat. And every time you die, some NPC steals 30% of your runes. Super sick. Still haven’t gotten it. I’ve had more fun shiny hunting Pokémon lmao

  I've killed this guy about 60 times, gone through 3 silver feet, and I still haven't gotten it. This made me just wanna stop playing for the day, it was so boring and tedious.

  In general have been pretty lucky with farming. Just chucked boulders over and over at the guy.

  Didn't even know it was a thing when fighting this bastard. Found it because I had to keep killing the dude to explore the area (in which I kept on dying). Seriously though, I hate Omen ogre. The only things in Stormveil I hate more are the bloody birds!

  I would use this over the Dismounter. slightly better damage and scaling. But if you think the dismounter looks cooler, you're only missing out on a small bit of damage increase, dont fret.
