Game says it has standard/pierce damage but it doesn’t have any thrusting attacks. I guess that means that the wave launched by the weapon skill does piercing damage? Either that, the description is wrong, or i’m missing something

The sword looks like a mini dragonslayer. Even the description is akin to how the berserker armor works. Guts' relinquishes his sanity and awareness of who is companions are (his heart) for increased battle prowess when wearing it.

89% phys negation? 54 stability?! Over 800 damage on pure strength build? Solid ranged option packed with gap closer which cause knockdown...
Use this with its set, equip deflecting hardtear, hp regen, Dragoncrest, bullgoat, and curved sword and blue two handed talisman.
If you never witnessed poisebreaking absurdity of two handed Greatswords then you will see how busted this thing is... Wtf Fromsoft, I guess it's an apology for how weak str builds were at the launch of base game

It's a damn good sword. I'm sad it can't be infused or buffed. The damage rate caps out on my build around 840 with GV but my Ordovis great sword goes to almost 1100 with GV. Still a really REALLY badass endgame weapon though.

Man I'm running this sword with Blessed Blue Dew Talisman, Carian Filigreed Crest, Shard of Alexander, and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman for a knight build and I am able to spam the ash of war out without investing anything into mind or FP flasks. I was most excited for the bear claws but can't stop using this.

At 77 strength the +10 version of this was doing more damage than a +25 heavy brick hammer with S scaling in strength. Just absolutely disgusting

The design is very similar to the dark moon greatsword, even the mini lore seems to be the opposite. The ability is also similar to one another. Sigma male lone wolf great sword.

Man I love this thing SO MUCH. At first i thought this was just a basic gs with vacum slice 2.0,but after getting it and using it I realized it's my favorite weapon rn. High guard boost makes it a good shield, fast attacks and the skill is just what I always wanted from vacuum slice: quick slashes (it goes ****ing upwards too) and a blitz attack. Amazing dlc so far

I've been using this for quite a bit of the dlc, and I gotta say, It's been kinda carrying me a little.
I feel like its hyper armor Is quite a bit higher than other greatswords, the projectile from the ash seems to do some pretty high stance dmg, and the follow-up also seems to have insane hyper armor. It feels amazing to have a ranged attack on a heavy hitting greatsword for enemies above you or ones that like to dip in and out.
(I've noticed there is a very small amount of pure strength weapons in the dlc, and that worries me a little, I might be forced to use this thing for the entire dlc)

Really, scaling of this blade is fckn insane, almost matches my Blashphemous Blade in terms of damage. Also the weapon skill is... Not great, but good enough and cheap. 10/10, let's go

Saw the stats just now on a New Zealander's stream. It requires 27 strength and 13 dex, and at base level has B strength and E dex scaling, no other reqs. Pure physical damage. It looks like a Somber weapon, having an AoW called "Solitary Moon Slash" - the fact that the ash matches the name of the weapon means it's probably unique/locked.
