Big Perfumer doesn't want you to know this, but using Storm Stomp solves a lot of its PVP issues outside of range. May Chaos take the World and all that.

Seeing a lot of hate for the Int scaling on this weapon but honestly I think it's a relief. Even as a Faith bro I can see Int builds are STARVING for damage type coverage, Int scaling weapons that don't do magic damage are so rare to come by (while Faith has plentiful access to Fire/Faith and Lightning damage now with the DLC, even Arcane has better damage coverage than Int, only missing out on Holy damage). I get this is an idea carried over from older souls games that Faith got coverage while Int was more focused, but even then Fire & Dark both had split Int scaling, which now just isn't a thing.

I wish this had an ash similar to the deadly poison one to help self proc madness without using tons of fp. I can appreciate that you can swap the ash, but I don't feel like its differentiated enough from the firespark one.

          • The very existence of this pisses me off, especially if we couldv'e gotten a sleep perfume instead. Even moreso considering the only NPC who uses perfumes is associated with sleep, as well as the fact that frenzy now scales with int, for no reason

This is decent in pvp paired with maddin hand. Bait an attack to use madding hand aow to proc your buffs then slap them with the perfume. Ive done up to 900dmg with it. This is rl 200 with stat split of 50/50/41/41 to have pretty balanced damage for both madding hand and the perfume. Raptor of the mists is good pvp aow for it. Havent procced madness at all with the perfume alone tho. And yes i know its weaker than only using madding hand but its more versatile.

Imagine when we get to put universal but elemental ashes of war like Hoarfrost Stomp on these things. God I wish we had that in game

Unfortunately, this weapon seems pretty outclassed by the firespark bottle for PVE. Firespark has way better scaling, even to the point when with 80 in all 3 of dex, int, and faith (3 highest scaling stats), firespark outdamages it until 16 strength. With lower dex, the damage is so low that it isn't even worth it. The madness buildup is pointless in pve too

And remember, kids. Don't use drugs.

This is the perfect example of what a drug makes you.

Crazy, mad, frenzy, headache, can't focus, feels too hot, and hurts your eyes.

So yes, remember. Don't use drugs.

Don't let the scaling letters fool you: this actually scales reasonably with ALL four stats (though DEX is heavily favored), which basically means its damage never stops going up the higher your level goes (and idk about you, but I finished my first DLC run at level 230, without doing any major farming and coming in at 150). At 99/99/99/99 (obviously, you're not gonna get there, it's just an example) it goes up to a crazy 629 100% fire damage, which means the flaming tear alone is enough to raise it to 754 and, ofc, there are plenty of other ways to buff fire damage. This is a high level monster weapon (which means it's probably even better on NG+).

                        Completely broken at the moment.
0-100 madness build up instantly and does at least 1600 hp dmg since I've been one-shotted in a nanosecond by it multiple times.

                        • It CAN be infused with rolling sparks and aany other aow. It CAN be used at lvl 15. It requires a grand total of 3 (THREE) boss encounters to get from the START of the game (any shardbearer, Mohg, Jori). Do with this information what you want and may chaos take the world

Im not sure how they're doing it, but theres some kind of glitch that people can do where when this procs madness on you its an instakill, and im talking about at max level, 99 vigor. i get madness procced all the time and it never kills you outright but several times now ive been hit with these at full health and gone in an instant.

Since when did frenzyflame weapons require intelligence? Nones of the spells require it, Vykes spear only required faith and now all of a sudden the only 2 other madness weapons are asking for points in intelligence. Don't even get me started on the boss's weapon not even having any built in madness or FIRE damage

Correction: It can indeed be infused. Page says it cannot, but I am pretty certain I could put ashes on it

Does this even build madness in pvp? Is it bugged? I swear I was fighting some guy for like 4 minutes with this, hit him dozens of times, and it never triggered madness. Only when you use it with the ashes of war does it do anything.

For anyone interested in getting this, but don't want to kill the golden hippo to access the coffin to this area, you can backtrack from the moorth village ruins pit all the way to the shadow keep and to the coffin! It's a long journey but doesn't require any main bosses; you can skip the twin moon lady and the hippo.

Two new frenzy weapons in the form of a perfume and a fist, I love both but why do they have no faith scaling

This thing made short work of the Leda fight in Belurat. Zero FP cost plus the lingering hitbox and NPCs running straight through it means you can spam this and get free madness procs on everyone trying to gank you.

whyyyyy why why does this have int requirements? Literally no Frenzied flame weapon/incant has Int on it.
What is the point in choosing low int, high faith just to use this. Those 5 int points got me bent. (still dope though)

Wonder if this'll be a good weapon for Int/Faith builds - they really don't have good weapon options that make use of all of their stats, and spells still burn FP.
