Gaius's Greaves is a Leg Armor in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Leg Armor in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Gaius's Greaves is part of the Gaius's Set, and are the greaves of one of the Bosses of the game, Commander Gaius. Gaius's Greaves protect both of the player's legs and feet by applying various defensive properties. They also change the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders, but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Black iron greaves made for Commander Gaius. A cruel joke, for he could not wear them. Riding atop the boar he called his other half, Gaius was in fact a warrior of albinauric extraction.

The lore is far less entertaining than my head cannon that the wolf rider swooped in and stole his pants before we could get them

So does this prove Loretta was not Albinuric since she has greaves?

For those somehow clueless where these are, they are literally right after Gaius, I don't know how any of you missed this.
The wolf rider is at a shack on the left side of the cliff if you go up the hill past Commander Gaius's grace, "Scaduview".

Every Albin*uric enemy in this game is doing their best to convince me that Gideon was right.

I'ma just say the reason she has his pants, is because they were having fun times, and he had to leave in a hurry to fight you.

The wolf rider isn’t spawning for me. Am I missing something?

Where is this wolf rider? I haven't seen him once in the DLC?

I love it when item description are short and silly. This one’s basically just “Gaius can’t wear pants lol”

They drop off the wolf rider, who is presumably his companion. He doesn't wear them, as an Albinauric, his legs do not function, just like Latenna and the other archers around the Liturgical town outside the Haligtree.

Why in the world does some random enemy drop these when the rest of the set is bought after defeating him? I don't even want them but it still annoys me

Can confirm enia doesn't sell the greaves. It's the only armor piece missing.

Not for sale, an Albanuric woman riding a wolf drops these for some reason. Not sure if it is intended but that is how you get them even though the rest of the set is for sale.
Why the heck do these drop from an Enemy and not from the fingers after killing Gaius, you know, like the rest of his set LOL
- Anonymous
These are not for sale for me even thought the rest of the set is.

Is this not showing up in the equipment of the champions tab for anyone else?
Did he learn gravity magic because he couldn't walk?? And then found it easier to just user his dear boar instead?? Cute if true
