Greatarrow Pierce

Golden Great Arrow is a Greatarrow in Elden Ring. Golden Great Arrow is a type of amunition that deals Holy Damage in addition to the regular Pierce Damage of arrow shots. Ammunition can be used in ranged weapons such as Bows and Crossbows, so players can deal ranged damage to Enemies and Bosses.

Carved greatarrows made together with the Erdtree Greatbow. Deals holy damage.

Imbued with an oath-sworn incantation, which boosts the attack and defense of the archer and their nearby allies.

Golden Great Arrow Use in Elden Ring

Golden Great Arrow pierces enemies' armor, dealing physical and holy damage.

Golden Great Arrow also buffs allies where the arrow lands:

  • Damage +11.5%
  • Damage Negation +7.5%
  • Duration: 45 secs

This is an Aura Buff and will not stack with other buffs of the same type.

Great free buff without expending FP as a strength Chad. Couples wonderfully with the Opaline Hardtear to pretty much cancel out the damage taken debuff from Bloodboil Aromatic. I always stock these on the secondary ammo slot of my Lion Greatbow and save all my FP for Ashes of War or defensive buffs.

I think these having Golden Vow attached to them is rather odd, since the only application where "I" would benefit from the effect is buffing faraway players in PvE. Since these are supposed to be utilized with the Erdtree Greatbow, the weapon that gets the best damage with these, you're going to be leveling faith anyways, allowing access to the stronger incantation version of Golden Vow. Like a previous comment here has suggested, maybe if these arrows healed in an AOE, allowing for long-distance cooperative support, that would better. While I get that having access to such a powerful buff without the need for faith or FP is handy, you get the AOW version of Golden Vow right in Limgrave. Also, Crucible Knights get buffed when struck with these, which isn't too much of an issue, but is something worth mentioning.

If only these healed a (very)small amount as well, they would be the coolest damn thing in the whole game

I just used them with Radahn's Rain and the buff did not work. Just shooting it into the ground in front of me worked fine though.

it shall be noted that while yes those arrows do buff the caster as well, you don´t get the buff by simply shooting at an enemy. those arrows will cast an AOE effect wherever they land. so if you are an archer it´s most likely that only your friends/the host get´s the buff unless you shoot one of them right infront of your feet as it also works if they just hit the ground.

Not affected by Old Lord's Talisman, tested to both 45 seconds with and without.
Makes sense, since it isn't a spell.

I'd argue that this is one of the best buffs in the game. While it's not quite as strong as the buff provided by Golden Vow, it requires no faith investment to use, and doesn't cost any FP. It's as strong as the Ash of War version, while again costing no FP to use. You can also "cast" it up to 30 times a life.

The buff from these is bugged with Hand of Malenia. While buffed the weapon skill Waterfowl Dance does massively reduced damage for the buffed player. During co op the host buffed me with Golden Vow and it didn't seem to hurt the damage so i think tgis is specific to the arrow buff.

This seems to be another replacement weaker version of Golden Vow.
I'm curious if 11.5% damage boost was tested to a high degree of accuracy.

The AoW does 12.5% supposedly so I'm wondering if it's the same effect.

This arrow could also give a 3/4 effect of Golden Vow
                      15% * (3/4) = 11.25% dmg boost
                      10% * (3/4) = 7.5% dmg neg
Which is almost exactly what this page says, but not quite

Or maybe 11.5% is right. Just looks odd. Not that it matters much anyways

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but as an invader, these seem to buff any PvE enemies that happen to be near the impact point. It gave them the golden aura effect when I shot one near them.

Buff lasts for 45 seconds and spawns from where the arrow lands. Buff still happens when using Through and Through, but not when using Rain of Arrows. Through and Through can be used to shoot it at your feet free aimed (without Through and Through you need to scope in to fire at your own feet), but at the expense of some FP.

Doesn't work as intended against skeletons. Better off putting them down with other holy weapons or the traditional way.

It says it buffs the archer and allies but the buff only applies where the great arrow lands so you have to either point blank an enemy or kind of idiotically shoot the ground to receive the buff.

Interestingly these arrows don't outright kill undead enemies like the regular arrow version does. I'm not sure if this means they don't do holy damage. They to me seem like just incredibly weak arrows with an AoE buff from my testing.

i tested the buff of these arrows in comparison to the golden vow ash of war. they appear to be identical, and do not stack. seems like these are a nice way to get a buff at no FP cost. as with the ash of war, the effect is weaker than the spell.

                                    Buff lasts about 40 seconds
The buff is centered on the impact of the arrow

my phys resist went from -1 to +7.3~
my attack went from 375 to 418
                                    About a 10~12% damage increase

Does anyone know how much the attack and defense buff is and/or how long it lasts? Does it activate when you fire one?
