|
Taylew the Golem Smith is a Spirit and Summon in Elden Ring. It is a brand-new Spirit in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Taylew the Golem Smith uses its own fists as projectiles.
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Taylew the golem smith. The spirit of the stalwart stone golem who launches his own fists as projectiles. Taylew was said to be the runt of the litter and the first to stop moving, but it was he who became the guardian deity of smithery.

Man, I don't know about you all, but i thought Taylew "The Golem" Smith dropped the absolute sickest rhymes in his 'Diety of Smithery' Album.
Taylew speaks for THE PEOPLE.

Absolute unit. Seems to draw aggro similar to the Putrid Corpse Ashes, which combined with his absurd tankiness trivializes many fights for casters. I had to swap off of him after a while because he was carrying me harder than Tiche lol

I didn't use spirit ashes at any point until I ran into the mandatory gank, saw this ash cost the most (138) so I upgraded it to +10 and used cerulean hidden tear to summon him and my guy did not disappoint, even letting him fend for himself he was able to survive long enough for me to dispatch some of them and not get shredded while my other ally was being useless.

He is so memetically tanky even bosses with aoe attacks who hit his core and stagger him can barely kill him. If you heal him from afar... He lives forever

Taylew is actually his middle name, his full name is Taniel Taylew Is.

This bad boy carried me through the final fight. He has super high defenses but doesn't have infinite health. That is, unless you juice him up with Heal from Afar. I rotted the boss and stalled while keeping my boy Taylew alive. He got the final blow and then belly flopped on the ground to take a nap.

Even in the base game where you do not benefit from the blessings, this summon can tank anything, unfortunately though a healing magnet for Malenia, but working together will get her to get into crit state very easily and Taylew's melee staggers her.

When you team up with other players to kill a boss, and someone shows up fatrolling with Omen Set, Fingerprint Shield and Giant Crusher. First you think, "what a clown, going to be useless." Then you see them block tank the same move that one shot you on your previous attempt, taking 10 damage. "Huh, ok, I take it back."
Thats this guy.

So far this is my favorite summon in the dlc. He tanks everything like a boss, does nice damage, and helps with staggering bosses. He was the MVP when I had to fight Midra. Walked the dude down like a serial killer.

Same function as the Crystalian but he actually does damage and takes aggro instead of spinning itself around the arena incoherently.

This spirit can run the entire DLC for a faith based caster. I love my Smith boi and here is how you can cheese the DLC.
Step 1.) get Smith boi.
Step2.) rank up Smith Boi
Step3.) Get heal from afar
Step 4.) Summon smith in boss fight and heal him while throwing spells fireballs/rott at boss
This rock is a better teammate then real players. For a measly 8+10 ghost plants you can have your very own bodyguard. 10 out of 10

He was quite literally my rock with a certain crazy flamey boss...
