Primeval Sorcerer Azur Location in Elden Ring
Primeval Sorcerer Azur can be found in the north of Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir, near the edge of the cliffs. [Map Link]
- This NPC does not move.
- Primeval Sorcerer Azur cannot be fought, all attempts at physical and magical attacks simply will not register. As such, he cannot be killed.
Primeval Sorcerer Azur Questline: How to complete Primeval Sorcerer Azur's Quest
- Primeval Sorcerer Azur is part of Sorceress Sellen Questline.
- Azur can be interacted with but he does not speak. He simply hands over the Comet Azur sorcery and the prompt to interact with him further disappears.
Elden Ring Primeval Sorcerer Azur Notes & Trivia
- After Sorceress Sellen transforms (by completing her questline and siding with her in the fight against Witch Hunter Jerren) you can return to Primeval Sorcerer Azur's location, where Azur's Glintstone Set will be in place of his body.
- What is most likely Azur's face can be seen in portraits found throughout Raya Lucaria Academy, as well as the Karolos Glintstone Crown, worn by Glintstone Sorcerers that are a part of the Karolos Conspectus, which Azur founded.

As mentioned before, winged rotten talisman thingy triggers when you hit him a couple of times. Also, the Devourer's scepter actually gives you HP when using the weapon art. Perhaps in a few years we'll find out he has 2 million HP.

Can the Rune Bear be skipped? Either ran past or sneaky sneak? I'll keep workin in the beast for sure just curious if anyone knows is the grace or npc is locked behind victory over boss.

Game immediatly crashed for the first time in 300 hours when i found the npc and he casted the spell lol

Does anyone know why, lore-wise, he's at mt gelmir? Lusat's location made a lot more sense to me

The animations. The dialog. This is game design at it's peak.

Is there a bug, since he gave me just the Comet spell, didnt disappear, but i cant interact with him to get Comet Azur spell?

One of the interesting things i noticed, if you have any talisman that can buff you for dealing damage in a successful succession, hitting both losat and azur will will activate those buffs

"Hello, stranger. Have an ion canon. Anyways, I'm going back to my vegetative state."

Master Willem but instead of becoming obsessed with eyes, he turned into a rock man.

Any lore on this guy? I think I saw something that said he's not organic anymore or something lol
This guy didn't even say a word but I felt like we had a fascinating conversation all the same.

the implications of what happened to those guys is creepy as f, they've seen something so fantastical/horrible/incomprehensible that their bodies literally became partially inorganic. the way they're just barely able to move when giving you their spells is the icing on the cake, this is some well done subtle lovecraftian horror

I walked up to this NPC excited to get Comet Azure, he was actually aggressive and I killed him. Can't find anything online about it, the only thing I can think of is that I was wearing Alberich's Robe when I walked up to him.

How do I find this place? I have been trying to get to it for a few hours today. One way was blocked off (bridge of anguish I think it was called) so have been trying to work my way up from the coffin grace from the other way up to altus. I have ended up at shaded castle now though at the bottom. What's the proper way up the mountain to find this area, please?

-whose body from the chest up is made entirely of crystals.
Fraid not. While that sounds frakin cool, Dude's got a face under all that wrapped cloth. The lower have of his face is exposed, although he is hunched over so it's easy to miss.

not really northeast of the hermit village, more like north or northwest

Equipping the Deathbed Dress around him, causes him to start...convulsing? For a little bit. Still can't be interacted with via talk or attacking.
I can't help but feel that if you had the whole set equipped, something else might happen?
But as far as I know, part of, if not the rest of the set is cut content.

I talked, he didn't say nothing, I moved and he can't be interacted again.
Reset at Grace, talked again, still didn't say nothing, but this time I waited. Got my Comet Azur from him

I only purchased a few sorceries(like 2 lmao), never cast anything either, had around 18 int and no quests related to him - still got the Comet. I found quite a few spells by exploring though.

I haven't cast a single spell my entire run, but I have compulsively bought them all (just in case, also acheesements). Just got to this guy, and first conversation he slowly opened his hand, then gave me Comet Azur. Won't interact again.
If there is a criteria check, it isn't stats as I'm only 14 for INT/FAI, and only at 14 on account of some late (90+) allocations as I prep for trying out Moonveil and/or Rivers. More than likely it's number of sorceries on hand, assuming it isn't quest-bound to Praetor Rykard or something else in the region.

AFTER you Complete Sellen's quest AND side WITH her, as well as having her survive her encounter and fight with Witch-Hunter Jerren - You CAN travel back to Azur and Lusan and grab their armor sets.
Saw a comment saying you CAN, so curiosity got the better of me and I can confirm this is the case. At least with siding WITH Sellen.
Mayhap confirmation on Comet Boy Azur and Crystal Lusat boy if you side with Jerren one way or the other?(About obtaining their armor that is.)

Is there a prerequisite to him giving you the spell? I can interact with him, however didn´t get any, even upon reloading the area.

*Appears in front of you
*Gives you legendary primordial spell
*Refuses to elaborate
*Leaves
What a sigma male.

Attacking Azur results in no damage, and weapon deflection. Same for attempting Rot breath: no damage or rot.
- Anonymous
Azur and the other primeval sorcerer, Lussat, will die at the end of Sellen’s quest line. Returning to their locations will allow you to loot their armor sets.
- Anonymous
He is rather just north of the Hermit village, not north-east. By a site of grace after the miniboss.

Did anyone find Lusat? I've vent all over Selia and didn't find anything
