As pervious comment mentioned, I also have not been able to get this to work with ashes nor unique skills. Although it used to work.

This is not working for me anymore. Did it get bugged with the last update or something? I have successfully used it in the past, thought it worked really well with Ice Spear in PvE, I would just spam away, but I tested it with 3 different ashes today and two different unique skills as well, in every circumstance it did not reduce the amount of FP consumed. Any one else notice this?
- Anonymous
This only affects ASH OF WAR not Spells, so kind of worthless.
Casters should be using Faster Cast and More damage talismans.
- Anonymous
If it hasn't already been said this talisman will alter the numbers when looking at the FP cost for an ash of war when you scroll over. They did not do that for the farron ring in DS3. It must also be said that very cheap ashes of war such as the constant spam hits of wild strikes will not have their FP cost reduced while wearing this.
- Anonymous
Is this thing busted? I tried using on Sword of Night and Flame and Phantom Slash but no change to FP at all.
- Anonymous
Gathering from previous comments, this is a good talisman to use for Skills that demand a high FP cost.
- Anonymous
Are we just going to ignore that the item description says that there was more than one princess of Liurnia at some point? Implying that Radagon and Rennala had more kids than we know of?

Only worth on really expensive skills. Fair costed skills like Lion´s Claw will benefit more from Ancestral Spirit Horn, as killing 2 enemies already nets you 6 FP, while Carian would save you 5 FP on cast. However, its always worth it to replace Spirit Horn for this when fighting Bosses or areas with lower amount of enemies like Elphael lower part where there are a group of Revenants
- Anonymous
Lowers it by 25% but always rounds up. Any skill with FP < 4 (e.g. quickstep) gains no benefit

Does not work with Storm blade, I'm guessing it doesn't work on skills that are low cost already.

glitched out quest, maybe with the new update. beat darriwill exhausted blaidd's dialogue, iji wont sell it. exhausted his dialogue too. oh well. guess i need to go bother the ice hag in her tower.

the ranni fan club seal. I would cite my source, but it'd be a spoiler.

I think this is because of the second part of Bloodhound's Fang eating a good chunk of FP for melee-focused players. Especially because you have to use a little for the first part as well. Blaidd sending you to Iji probably is to give you an item that will help mitigate that so you can use its skill more times between Cerulean Tears.
- Anonymous
Iji sells the crest even though I never spoke to Ranni, just told him Blaidd sent me and exhausted the rest of his dialogue. Though, I hadn't looked at his inventory before doing that. I didn't try buying it because it was too expensive, so I don't know if there's an impediment there I don't know about.

Absolutely good for costly Skills and Ashes. Moonlight greatsword fp cost from 32 to 24 and can go to 21 with the scarab head.
- Anonymous
This says 25% FP discount on weapon skills, but for skills that are already cheap like 'sword dance' I don't see it being worth the talisman slot it uses up, 'sword dance' benefits by a whopping 1 FP with this equipped, goes from 6 to 5.

hey y'all does this do anything to wheel of ghiza? its cost is already low and i'm not sure if it's even worth using

I haven't tested it on the 1.05 patch but when I used to play with my faith build on 1.03 it did used to affect incantations, I know this because I only had enough PC to cast Erdtree heal 3 times but with the talisman equipped I was able to cast it 4 times, idk if it still affects incantations but when I tested it on 1.05 patch it did nothing to my new character that was a mage, someone verify if it still works with incantations on this current patch

Just a heads up: I didn’t do the entire first part(calling blaaid with snap etc) but when I got to iji(after talking to blaaid in sofra) and mentioning it to iji this was available
- Anonymous
i tested this with gransax spear. it only works with charged attacks. but i also noticed that i was able to cast the bolt even with 10 FP if they were my last remaining. Don't know if is a bug or not, but is cool anyway

Is better than the +2 FP talisman if you are using bloodhound step
- Anonymous
Iji sold this to me immediately after speaking with Ranni and her retainers

It should be noted that when the FP reduced by this item is not a whole number it is rounded DOWN to the nearest whole number. This is done PER % reducing item. FOR EXAMPLE: say a weapon art cost 25FP and you stack this item (-25%) with the ASH-OF-WAR SCARAB (-15%) you do not get a 40% reduction in cost. Because it calculates them both separately and rounds down you end up with a 36% reduction instead.
FP cost of 25
-25% is -6.25
-15% is -3.75
both of those are rounded down and the final FP reduction is 9 (36%) and NOT 10 (40%)
I got this item without doing his questline. However I did start Ranni's, and I summoned him at starscourge

It also lowers your FP by 10 and stamina by 6. Could be % or just a base value.

I got this item without ever doing Blaidds questline, I did, however, finish Rannis.

This: Reduces weapon skills cost by 25% with no penalty
Primal Glintstone Blade: reduces spell costs by 25% with a 15% HP penalty

I haven't tested it (but doubt it does), but it'd have been a nice touch if buying the talisman off of Iji early prevented the "Carian Manor defenses" from targeting you.
- Anonymous
People forget to Read, it reduces FP for SKILLS
NOT SORCERY/INCANTATIONS
- Anonymous
the FP reduction is not noticeable. i’d argue Cerulean Amber Medallion +2 is miles better as at least with that, i get an extra spell cast out of it from the FP gain.

Doesn't work for me. Can't google if it's a bug. FP consumption is still the same.
- Anonymous
Been using this and the ash of war scarab to spam the **** out of the Winged Scythe ash of war. Amazing for the early game
- Anonymous
Seriously one of the best talismans in the game for builds that are very skill spam reliant.
Moonveil mains should absolutely use this for exploration. Bloodhound Step's also fantastic with it
- Anonymous
It seems like if you find out Ranni's secret through Rogier before talking to her, she gives you the finger and Blaidd just disappears, locking you out of this talisman hopefully just until Iji dies. Ive been looking everywhere for him, last location was after the festival.
- Anonymous
Additionally, seems to become available at some point upon completion of Ranni's storyline if you haven't interacted with Blaidd Unsure if it also requires the defeat of the gaol'd knight.
- Anonymous
This enables some pretty hectic spam on weapons like the Halo Scythe and Reduvia.
- Anonymous
skill cost reduction is 20 not 25% takes moonveil from 15 fp to 12
- Anonymous
Neither bad nor good. Kind of falls in the category of "you can probably slot better" for me. Pretty decent with Bloodhound's step for example, but far from enabling some kind of strategy.

I never did Blaidd's questline, but after entering into Ranni's service and starting the Festival of Combat, Iji stocked this item. It may have been stocked sooner, but I didn't check until after I started (but did not complete) the festival.
- Anonymous
Is it available if I already killed the bloodhound but never talked to Blaidd? Do I have any chance to purchase it now?
- Anonymous
Doesn’t reduce the weapon art that Dark Moon Greatsword has, which is just a weapon buff.
- Anonymous
Doesn't reduce the weapon skill, Sacred Blade. Maybe it only works on physical weapon arts, or ones that haven't been changed.
- Anonymous
finished nokron, never did blaidd's quest with the gaol, the blacksmith sold me ring after getting a chat on somehing like " you are ranni's true champion"
- Anonymous

Met Blaidd in mistwoods, didn't go check evergaol. Started Ranni's questline and talked to him down in the river already. Went to check evergaol and he isn't there, but Iji sells the talisman at that point in case you thought you missed it permanently like I did.

Never talked to Blaidd before ranni quest, did get fingersnap and beat bloodhound. Started ranni quest, supposed to meet blaidd underground. Blacksmith is selling this, wasnt last time I checked (before starting ranni quest)
- Anonymous
Was able to buy this from the blacksmith after talking to renna in ranni's rise after caria manor. Never did the first interaction with Blaidd
- Anonymous
Iji's Bell dosent send this to the vedor if he dies you miss it. gg
Confirmed 25% with moonveil, it even tells you the cost correctly in the equipment page.
Stacks with Ash of War scarab but rounding can hurt it a tiny bit (13 not 12 for R2) -
Usual FP costs 15/20
Scarab 13/17
Crest 12/15
Both 10/13
Updated wiki.
- Anonymous
With moonveil it decreased WA FP by 25% from 20 to 15. Can also add ash-of-war scarab for further reduction to 13.
Equipment screen does show the updated cost which is handy!

I think talking to Blaidd in siofra,or then talking to the sorcerer, might be enough, I could buy this but hadn't defeated the bloodhound knight
- Anonymous
Lowers weapon art costs by 25% not 20% like the wiki states.
- Anonymous
lions claw went from 20 to 15 it seems to be a 25% decrease for ashes of war
- Anonymous
this item also becomes available without helping Blaidd after agreeing to help Rinna
- Anonymous
After testing with my spells, it doesn't seem to work on Sorceries.
- Anonymous
Works for your ashes of war, looks to be a 25% reduced cost. So if an ash of war normally consume 40 FP, it will only consume 30 FP when you have this equipped.
This is perfect for a Necromancer build with the Family Heads flail.

I tested it out with a high FP Sorcery, this Amulet does NOT reduce FP costs for Sorceries.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Did a test of this with quickstep, and regardless of the item being on or off the number was 26 quicksteps before running out of fp. No visible difference in summons or casts, either. I believe the item is currently not working as intended.
- Anonymous
Doesnt seem to be lowering cost of sorceries so skills = ashes of war
- Anonymous
Tested it and it's not working for me, either. Zero reduction in FP for magic, at least. Maybe it's just for like weapon skills? If so, LAME.
- Anonymous
does this thing not work or something just got it and all of the ashes of war or sorceries i use are not reduced
- Anonymous
Define "skills"
Does this effect the cost of magic? The cost of Summons? Or just the cost of abilities applied to weapons?
- Anonymous
You get it from Smithing Master Iji after helping Blaidd, very top left of the map
is cost rounded up? or down?
