Troll's Golden Sword is a Colossal Sword in Elden Ring. The Troll's Golden Sword scales primarily with Dexterity and Strength and is a good Weapon for dire battles. With its heavy-set stats and unique skill, this weapon was built to destroy any large beasts and foes it comes into contact with. This greatsword can only be wielded by a worthy warrior and will require high Strength stats before it can be used.

Sword given to the lesser giants who fought for the Erdtree
during the War against the Giants long ago.

Though the giants have lost their minds, they stay inseparable from their
swords that are in sad shape—such that the gold plating had flaked away.

  I use this on the off hand when I want to power stance colossal swords, mostly paired with the Zwei. There's something aesthetically pleasing in holding a big broad sword in your off hand paired with a more elegant and svelte pocking sword on your main hand, like Raime.

  this sword with the sacred blade or golden land AoW is probably my favorite infusable weapon. just raw damage isn't the best though, so i recommend infusing it with lightning for pve and sacred for pvp

  Currently running a build with this + the Erdtree Greatshield and Tree Sentinel set, calling it the "Erdtree Pursuer" to pay homage to the Pursuer from DS2. Using AoW: Golden Vow and Holy Water/Sacred Order pots, all together the set is so beyond badass you look like an olympian golden tank version of Leonidas of Sparta

  I doned this sword with the tree sentinel armor set for more than half of my play through. Extra style points when used with the sacred blade AoW.

  People complain this has bad str scaling are literally overlooking what this weapon was made for
  
  It has innate holy damage, and can be infused with holy. On a 40/50 str/fth quality build it does almost 900 ar without any buff. Slap sacred blade on it and it goes well above 90. Add the holy tear. Cast golden vow. There you go, a faith-scaling heavy weapon with well over 1000 AR.
  People just want this to be yet another greatsword and overlook the potential. They don't realize not every heavy weapon needs to automatically be a str weapon.

  The base damage on infusions on this weapon is some of the highest in the game. easily overlooked for people going for a „raw“ weapon and only want to hit requirements

  I love this sword. It's beautiful, only 1 point needed in dex and I prefer its heavy moveset to the greatswords. Plus you look sexy in the tree Sentinel armour with it

  Woefully purposeless in a world with Greatsword. Virtually the same moveset and infusible with the same ashes, but with far less damage in every case and less range to boot. Looking at DS3, every ultra greatsword has a use case. How did they go so wrong here? Why couldn't they give this sword, I don't know, exceptional elemental affinity scaling? Since we have the Carian troll knights (magic), troll's hammer does fire, the trolls themselves are from the snowy mountains (cold), and the sword is gold (holy). What could have been.

  nice looking sword but it's almost the same model as Dark Moon and it's a colossal? this, the Troll Knight sword & zweihander should be reclassed to greatsword.. sure its the troll weapons but when they scaled it down to player size now they are too small for the moveset

  A slowed down version of the Claymore animations would be perfect for this sword. It currently has the same light attack as the guts Greatsword while being almost half the size with the way it comes to a point, it feels wrong. Try using this after a Golem Halberd, the attacks are so fluid with that monstrosity and then clunky as all with the smaller weapon. Please Update this Fromsoft!

  This thing staggers mobs and bosses so easily it's ridiculous. Using it 1 handed at +15 got multiple staggers on the altus draconic sentinel with little effort.

  Just for clarity's sake, I want to point out the fact that most weapons infused with elemental damage only appear better at first glance. In actuality, the damage would be split between physical and the element infusion. The reason this is bad is cause each hit has more absorption based on the elements, so if someone had high physical and elemental resistances, the different damages on the weapon would each be reduced. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works...

  Its a really weird weapon because its better when infused with elemental damage. It does fill the spot pretty nice, its not the Best, but at l'East you hit like a truck with this as an int or faith caster

  Does this thing have some sort of hidden inherent bleed effect? I was dual wielding them when trying different setups out and bleed loss would occur sometimes, and they were both Heavy. Just asking cause I really don't know.

  Don't let the other comments here fool you this is the second best Colossal Sword after the Greatsword, and the best choice to powerstance in your first playthrough for the 1 hit build, equip both swords with Royal Knight's Resolve, do jump attacks on bosses and watch those lifebars get to 0 in no time.

  so, the giants have their erdtree burning flame on their mountain top, which is most likely why the capital went to war against them. why then would some giants choose to fight against their kin for the erdtree?
