Raises resistance to the last ailment suffered
|
Ailment Talisman is a Talisman in Elden Ring. It is a brand-new Talisman in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Ailment Talisman raises resistance to the last ailment suffered. Players can use Talismans in Elden Ring to boost a variety of Stats.
A talisman depicting a soul taken by sickness. When certain ailments are triggered, this talisman grants resistance to the same ailment. When the weak were infected with the dreaded fly sickness, they perished well before the metamorphosis could take hold. Oddly, those who cared for the infected and made certain they were given a proper burial were never afflicted themselves.

I was hoping it could trigger poison via Raw Meat Dumpling to trigger KoRE, and this talisman would reduce the damage from being poisoned, but I suppose I'll take virtual extra immunity.

So does this trigger before or after the ailment have capped?

Seems like it would be useless most of the time. I will have to try this in a poison swamp / lake of rot though. It seems like stacking this with a horn charm would make it to where you could save some boluses or FP from "flame cleanse me."

****ing useless. Just makes you suffer from an ailment even longer. Only good against bleed, sleep, and madness. Ruins you against everything else

So this kinda gives you the boss version of status effects defense, where if you proc anything that they are weak to, the next proc takes more build-up. Sadly, I don't think it's quite as useful as simply avoiding procs. Here, an ounce of prevention (via the Horn Charms) is worth more.

doesnt this make madness builds pretty strong? since you are self inflicting madness, you wont trigger it as fast eh?

The "fly sickness" description reminds me of the Giant Flies in Ashes of Ariandel.

I'd really love to find out what this tailsman does. I've really been hoping for a plague build in Elden Ring
Looks like this talisman boosts your resistance stats by about 350 for a short amount of time after a status effect is applied to you. The duration seems to vary based on the status effect too. Poison/Scarlet Rot resistance last for 120 seconds, Frostbite resistance lasts for 45 seconds, and Hemorrhage, Sleep, and Madness resistance last for 30 seconds. I may be missing something though given this one talisman has close to 40 different params associated with it.
