Why give us increased damage taken at all times and not when y'know we're actually backstepping. Just have it work the same way as counterthrust damage if you're gonna have to give it drawbacks

I tested the iframes by backstepping into Godfreys phase 2 aoe, It seems to give the exact same iframes as normal roll

took off all armor and equipped this and saw it gives -15% defense on all damage types
This + Backstep Talisman + Spear Talisman + Two-Handed Talisman + Rakshasa's armor goes crazy on a Night Glaive/Serpent Hunter for PvP

I was quietly hoping for ninja flips... but I'll take this!

“Increases damage taken” god forbid we get a fun talishman without drawbacks.

this seems actually good as long as the damage negation penalty isn't unreasonable. Frankly though, backsteps should have had iframes from the start imho. With how bad connectivity is in PVP especially

Gives iframes to backsteps, this improves combat so much you have no idea. it doesnt seem to be much but its good for those attacks where back stepping would be quicker. Malenias spin kick is a good example.

Just tested this right where I found it, it DOES add I-frames to your backsteps. I don't know exactly how many, but it seems to be a decent amount, similar to a dodge roll I think.

The deadzone on the analog stick sucks for backsteps compared to dark souls 2

I don't notice anything visually, such as a larger step or even a different animation but, perhaps increases i-frames which would make backsteps viable XD
