Best place ive found to farm for them early is Mistwood (Limgrave). North of the forest there are alot of boars. And if you want to kill bears there are alot of easy bears in the forest, just watch out for the big ones.

Boars can be farmed at Siofra River Well. from the grace after the 2nd elevator, follow the left wall into an alley where one of the torches that has to be lid resides. There are many boars there and close to a grace

Full inventory of these is only 249,750! Which is great for crafting bone ballista bolts for the Hand-Ballista / Jar Cannon on the fly

Can only be purchased with the bell bearing from the warmasters shack
Best place I've found is next to the artist's shack around the middle of limgrave. Go there, hop on torrent, ride north about 7 seconds for two bears. Cons: Slightly high health. Pros: High drop rate for hefty bones, near a site of grace, good supplies of ****.
