Funnily enough I found these very useful in duels. Not as damage, but as a bait to throw, luring people into your attacks which can be surprisingly effective if you have a slow, strong weapon. It has the same throwing animation as the pots and most people probably expect the frost one whenever they see it.

why the hell is this item only purchasable infinitely after the god skin duo, I mean its funny but kind of ridiculous, would expect it to be at most smithing stone bell bearing 1 or 2

FROM SOFT FIX THE RUIN FRAGMENT SO DAMAGE ACTUALLY FUNCTIONS MORE THAN 1 POINT OF DAMAGE AT ALL LEVELS OF STR/DEX. THANKS.

Rainbow Stones are the best co-op item in the game. I make time to farm Ruin Fragments just so I can spam them freely. Running ahead of your host? Mark your path. See a locked door? Stuff a stone on it so people know what you're after. Looking for an invader? These will make them come to your ambush spot. Plop one on a corpse to commemorate victory. Slap one on a Stake of Marika so the host knows there's a tough part coming up. Drop one off a ledge to see if the fall is lethal (shattering sound). There's just so many uses to these. I put them on my Y button menu.

Ruin Fragment? more like outright garbage. with 99 Str at A scaling and 99 Dex at C it still deals 1 dmg
really want to meet the clown who came up with this

On the long bridge towards Liurnia Divine Tower, you can farm 17 each time and they respawn. You do need to defeat the boss there tho for safe farming.

Slightly northeast of the 'Scenic Isle' site of grace stands a ruin with ruin fragments and sanctuary stones. Nice view too.

                  • they just forgot/didnt bother to put these in the world after a while, beginning of the game I had more than 50 rainbow stones at some point then I had to backtrack to beginning areas just to get more rainbow stones. awesome.

That A scaling in strength goes a long ways for strength builds. At least according to the wiki currently lol

The glowstone is really really helpful item which way brighter than lantern. So why the hell no merchant sells glowstone or this one?

                        • After killing the Godskin Noble there, 14 Ruin Fragments and 3 Sanctuary Stones can be farmed at Liurnia Tower Bridge (requires progressing Ranni's questline partially to access via the Carian Inverted Statue).

So far the fastest way I've seen by far, taking seconds to run across the bridge on horseback and either teleporting back or just running back.

                          • Does anyone know if a vendor sells these or Rainbow Stones? I like to mark the places I defeat an opponent when doing PvP, and I'm running out of these things FAST. Also way too lazy to go and farm these lol
