There are 3 of those on Stormveil Castle. Drop down to the right, just before elevator room with a Banished Knight that wields halberd. Then just go the only way available then jump down again.

The game files list arteria leaf as a '50/1000' or a 0.5% (affected by discovery) drop chance from a [Jellyfish] that also drops Golden Rune[3]. Shame I have no idea where those jellyfish are.

I have killed the snow troll 10 times, and only got one on the first kill. I don't think this is farmable.
- Anonymous
I truly hope there will be a merchant you can buy these from in the DLC. At the very least a better way to farm them.
There is one near Seluvis Rise, in the ruins directly north-northwest from the entrance to his Rise.
- Anonymous
After farming the mountaintop trolls for these things, I'm pretty sure discovery has no impact on the drop rate whatsoever. I've killed so many with a discovery rate of 310+, which should be a 90% drop chance each kill, but I'm still only getting them a third of the time.

The only items that would be worth spending time farming mats for crafting actually have mats that do not respawn.
Pretty good design !
And all the mats that respawn are actually used to craft shitty items, so they are pointless
- Anonymous
Woops still in limgrave and peninsula and used these all up for exalted flesh. Ah well.
- Anonymous
The fact that a majority of the really good items need to be crafted, is annoying. The fact that some of those items do not respawn, is bad design.

Late game farming giants really isn't that bad. 30% is nothing compared to some of the other abysmal drop rates in this game.
- Anonymous
Ended up with 120 leaves after scouring the entire map in one new game cycle (no random drops).

Flame of the Frenzy incantation makes farming the troll by the Giant's Grave post much easier. Even on a level 30 with +2 Weapons I can use fully charged Flames of Frenzy with Godfrey's Icon + Fire Scorpion Charm + Fire Shrouding Crystal Tear + Flame Grant me Strength to keep the troll nearly stunlocked until death. Been farming countless of these trolls for Uplifting Aromatic on a bunch of support based characters. Very consistently safe means of killing them. REALLY hoping for a DLC merchant to buy Arteria Leaves, Trina's Lily's, Aeonian Butterflies, Formic Rocks and Living Jar Shards...

Used all my arteria leafs trying builds that don't use bleed, because doing the same thing again and again is boring. Farming them is ridiculously hard and they run out like water in the desert. Might as well have never even created bloodboil aromatic or exaulted flesh. These items are a great help, but are almost not worth since by the time I get the materials I have already forgetten how to fight the boss and they will just go to waste. I even wasted a larval tear to get 99 arc together with scarab and chicken foot. Duping this item is righteous and morally correct!

The forlorn hound evergaol leaf and the mistwood ruins leaf are described horribly. I can't find either of these leaves based on their location descriptions, they don't seem remotely close to where they are marked on the map
- Anonymous
The dragon burnt ruins and Castle Morne Arteria Leaf map links are mixed up.

Absolutley no clue why there couldnt have been something like a "perfumers bell bearing" where you could buy these and other perfume item ingredients infinitely
If i had to put a price on these i'd say like 7500 per leaf, really no reason these should be so hard to get for craftables you get to benifit from for like 45 seconds
- Anonymous
We've been scorning these, but after getting within an inch of bodying Elden Beast on base level no upgrades only to die with plenty of FP left... the fact that I was short on uplifing aromatics has become a personal tragedy.
These items represent 1ups for challenge run boss fights. They ain't bad.

Why aren't the ones in MountainTop of the Giants mentioned? There's like 11 lying around
st trina's lily: necessary for producing sleep, arguably one of the best status effects in the game for exploration
arteria leaf: uhh...bloodboil is good for one-shot builds, i guess.

I got 52 on my playthrough, none of which were from snow trolls. I never went out of my way to find them, though.
- Anonymous
I’m glad these are rare. I don’t want to be tempted to pop uber consumables constantly.
- Anonymous
Game treats this weed like it's a godslaying superweapon. You always find it an hard to reach and special places. Like you think you'll get something cool and then it's just another arteria leaf

I found out the ABSOLUTE BEST WAY TO FARM ARTERIA LEAVES. First you go on reddit SPECIFICALLY the elden ring patches emporium. Then you find someone who is offering to mule over a bunch for you. And finally if you want to dupe them, upload your save file and re-download it over and over again to ensure you get 999! Thanks fromsoft for making a ridiculously important item limited to 30+ per playthrough without farming for hours and killing some poise monster giant to get just ONE.
- Anonymous
All those consumables feel so out of place, Alot of them are simply unnecessary and the tiny part of consumables that are good are ridiculously hard to farm.
Just put these thing's in a Vendor's inventory or unlock them at NG+ at vendors.
Why implement 100craftables where ppl only use 5 of them at best and make them harder to obtain than ancient smithing stones.
- Anonymous
The "exceedingly rare" part is just needlessly tedious. The amount of time you'll spend kill 3 Frost Trolls to get an average of 1 leaf far exceeds how long you'd benefit from a use of the crafted item.
Love the game and From's delivery on combat/world experience is one of the best I've had, crafting just doesn't produce anything that should qualify the amount of grinding needed.
The fact that I can grind enough runes to fully upgrade a weapon PERMANENTLY in 2 minutes and buy them in infinite supply versus an average of 3 minutes per leaf (Frost Troll) at 200 Discovery is silly.

For those struggling with this giants gravepost farm. Giants BBQ. Godslayer seal, charged blackflame ritual X3 for knockdown. Cast again, stab head. Repeat. He’ll just stand there and let you bbq him provided you run straight to him with torrent and cast behind him.
- Anonymous
god I hope they add the ability to buy rare recourses like this in future dlc or something
don't care how expensive they are
it seems really weird to me that some recourses are non-renewable, or really annoying to farm, while others respawn, and the items they craft seem arbitrary, like acid spraymist isn't even that good, it's cool, but formic rock is one of the rarest recourses and you need 4 to craft one
the only way I'm using a consumable is if there's a way to consistently get more of it, seems unnecessarily limiting

Not sure if other players figured this out. But from the Giants Garvespot site of grace go west and you can see a snow troll . Kill and it'll drop this. Don't know if there's any limitation for this but for now this is the only way to farm this thing

Picking up a purple and having it be this is kind of disappointing

As of 05/22 I've noticed a bit of a change in the drop rate. My discovery is at 226 base. Pop your silver foot then start, count your first 8 kills as a wash if you get one cool but don't expect it. Something seems to change the rng after so many kills it starts dropping every time or every other. And would persist until I got clumsy and died and I hit my dryspell of 8 no gains in a row until I quit and reentered and did it all the same and it worked. Could just be seeing patterns that aren't really there but it's how it works for me.

There is an Arteria Leaf behind the Isolated Merchant's Shack in northern Caelid, just northwest of the shack at the base of the tree. Didn't see it listed above and thought it might be useful to call it out.

I can see why FROM wants certain items to be limited or have some difficulty to amass. Buffs like these would end up being used for every occasion so it imbalances the game. Players who aim to optimize would farm it. Some who participate online would find this mandatory. A resource this valuable would be overused so FROM made this finite so the player would need to decide to choose when to make the most of it.
As far as I want having to go out of my way to want these in a full stack, I can see that this was a smart decision for the game balance. I can't imagine not going through a game without these if they were easy to get. Even Boggart's fine cookery is the only thing I buy amass but I don't think it would be fun to mass buff with a bunch of items for every occasion with how easy they can get like boiled crab especially end game.

Wish there was a spot where they respawn infinitely or a merchant who sells them infinitely.
- Anonymous
I wouldn't be surprised to see a merchant or bell bearing added in dlc with these and other "rare" crafting bits.
- Anonymous
I haven't really seen much discussion of this item with regards to lore. It's a pretty odd plant, pulsing with blood. It feels like it's somehow related to Miquella, as we know he used his blood to grow the Haligtree. I'm wondering if Arteria leaves are a product of his experimentation as well. Could indicate areas he's been or influenced?
- Anonymous
There's also one behind outside the Stranded Graveyard, with the springhares

If you have the faith for it, killing the Fuzzy Trolls is easy if you use Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike.
- Anonymous
Treasure the leaf. The buff item u make from it is quite nice. Exalted flesh dmg buff is very handy for example. When ur supply gets low. It’s a pain to gather. Leaf should not be rare in my belief. Should be a merchant who sells infinite supply. Just keep buying.
- Anonymous
can confirm they still drop from the fuzzy giants as of 1.04
- Anonymous
Well, guess im done crafting perfumes lol. At least i had plenty to get me to the late game.
- Anonymous
The fuzzy troll west giants gravepost grace. I got 8 in a row by staggering him then specifically aiming at his head when he was down. It’s anecdotal but I was struggling to get a single drop just attacking his body
What is the point of making these itens rare like that? Consumables for a game you die consistent
- Anonymous
YOU CAN FARM THEM FROM THE FURRY GIANTS IN THE SNOW REGION MOUNTAIN TOPS!!!!
- Anonymous
Since patch 1.04, it seems that the fuzzy troll on the Mountain tops of Giants no longer/ reduced the drop rate of Arteria Leaf. Could someone help confirm this? Since prior patch 1.04, it was easily farmable even with low discovery, now im sitting at 193 discovery with 0 drop rate so far.
Don't you hate founding new weapon or set of armor instead of this pretty leaves?

I am getting these nearly every kill at max discovery at the Giant's Gravepost killing the troll nearby. I recommend bleed, like Swarm of Flies, or using some other percent damage like Black Flame or Black Blade. Give it a try.
- Anonymous
Still farmable from giant at Giant's Gravepost. Just checked today and got 10. Dropped a little more than a third of the time at 123 discovery.
- Anonymous
For those of you who keep saying these are farmable, I don't know if it got changed in the last patch but I don't think it's farmable from the Giants in Gravepost anymore. Before the patch I was able to consistently get Arteria leaf from them at 160 Discovery but now it looks as if From changed their loot tables to only drop it once. It was nice while it lasted.....
- Anonymous
I've found one lying near the first place we encounter Boc. I fast traveled to lake agheel north bonfire walked a little and there was it. no idea. could this happened because I kille Yura to get his nagakiba?
- Anonymous
Since these are so rare and farming it is annoying and slow. I never spent or use this item through out my 400hr 1st playthrough. Gotha hoard every rare item and never use them!!!
Best farming spot is near GIANTS' GRAVEPOST. Pretty good drop rate. 216 discrovery. Drops from hairy giant. From grace go west
5 of these literally farmable n grow next to the church of reposte yet they are treated like a legendary item guarded by the end of legacy dungeons. Lolwut
- Anonymous
Drops from those hairy giants in mountaintop of the giants. One of them is located near church of repose grace
- Anonymous
I don't know if this is common knowledge or whatnot, but one of the Albinaurics near the base of the Minor Erdtree in the Consecrated Snowfield biome dropped an Arteria Leaf for me on death just now. I don't know if this is fixed or if it can be farmed, and if so what the drop rate is, but I figured it was worth pointing out.

At first I thought "oh, why an Arteria leaf" and was disappointed, but then I looked at the items they crafted, and they are all extremely strong. Uplifting Aromatic is EXTREMELY good for co-op, and Bloodboil Aromatic is a huge DPS boost whose increased incoming damage doesn't matter because endgame mobs and bosses kill you quickly to begin with.
- Anonymous
The lobster(s) around Liurnia Lake Shore dropped one dunno if rare or whatever
- Anonymous
so the first giant u see at giants gravepost grace seems to have a crazily increased drop leaf for the leaf. with 115 discovery ive gotten 10 leaves in 13 kills. probably the best place tyo farm them ive found
- Anonymous
I've got Arteria Leaves dropping quite commonly from the Trolls just before the Fire Giant. With 182 discovery (Vagabond base Arcane with Silver Scarab talisman) I got 20 leaves in 45 kills of the Troll closest to Giant's Gravepost. 5 kills was the longest dry spell and I got streaks of 1 per kill a couple times. Drop rate is clearly between 1/2 and 1/3.
- Anonymous
I can confirm that you can farm the arteria leafs from those giants fighting the birds before Fire Giant. Tested with 239 discovery, I've gotten 2 leafs out of 30 runs.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I noticed it's not on here, but there's also an Arteria Leaf between the Seethewater Terminus grace, and the Craftman's Shack grace. It's right before the Hermit's Shack, along the cliffside slightly behind the collection of coffins.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
You can farm them in the mountaintop region where the frost giants are fighting the giant birds just before the fire giant. Those giants drop them
- Anonymous
One of the best craftable items and of course has to be limited, such bullshit
- Anonymous
So I'm like 99% sure these are a finite resource, there MIGHT be a single mob somewhere that can drop them, or a single location where it respawns, but I highly doubt it.
The items this crafts are very strong so its likely a limited resource, Use them wisely.
There's 5 of them on the top of a building in west Deeproot Depths, northeast of the Nameless Eternal City site of grace. You have to jump up a spiritspring to reach it.

As a gauge of how many you get per NG, I had 131 of these at the end of NG0 and cleared all the dungeons, tunnels, caves, catacombs, and did explore everywhere and didn't clear snow giants more than once. I'm at snowhills church of repose with 3 outside and only have 160 but cleared probably half of NG0 and didn't explore much for one-shot items like arteria leaf. As for use, I am a bit pot head but haven't used perfumes but would go with the 60 second one because you burn enough seconds with multiple buffs that the shorter buffs are wasted when buffing.
