Godskin Stitcher is a Heavy Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring. The Godskin Stitcher scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a potent Weapon for combat situations where Pierce damage and thrusting moveset will benefit the player.

 

Elegant piercing sword with a celadon colored blade wielded by Godskin Nobles.

The nobles possess skill with the sword unmatched by any lowborn. Despite its size, successive attacks from this weapon are swifter than the eye can follow.

  • Sell Value:  er runes 13 500 Runes.
  • NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed of  Heavy Thrusting Swords crouching attacks has been reduced. Also the stagger caused by double-handed Heavy Thrusting Swords jumping attacks has been reduced. And finally, Poise damage has also been reduced, but only for PVP.

                    The running R2 teleport stab is so good for PVP. On my mage, I run a Cold infusion with Storm Blade. If your opponent dodge rolls into melee range when you use Storm Blade, you just keep hammering Storm Blade attacks and the slices from the sword will proc Frost while doing Storm Blade damage.

                      In my experience, that's the meta tryharder annihilator. Just use Piercing Fang (as help against runners), ice modif for mag dmg and hf.

                        It's a funny thing to note that, somewhat ironically, the Godskin Swaddling Cloth, which is associated most closely with the Stitcher, is better paired with a Twinblade, and the Twinblade Talisman is better paired with, among some other weapon classes, thrusting swords like the Stitcher

                          SOA talisman + twinblade tal for that juicy final stab of blood tax + rotten sword and prosthesis + thorny cracked tear + blood affinity and u got yourself a damage machine.

                            My approach to this bad boy: Blood Tax AoW, set to Poison Infusion, slap on drawstring rot grease just as I'm about to use the AoW on someone. Combine this with Godskin Swaddling Cloth, Spear, Millicent's Prosthesis, and whatever other Talisman of your liking.

                            Add Buckler shield or another shield with Golden Parry on it to go hand-in-hand with Stitcher's huge range.

                                For being such a popular weapon, I don't see a lot of people mention or use the charged r2 cancel attack. If you hit your roll button during the charge up, you cancel with a small back stepping sweep attack.

                                  The reason for the "glitchy" and weird looking running R2 is because of blending in ER. In other Souls games blending was only done over 4 frames but in ER they doubled it to 8.

                                  Blending is to smooth online play, so the game quickly updates the opposing character model/attack on your screen to be ahead of where they are, so you can more realistically see where they are. If this wasn't in the game, you would be hit by things and wouldn't be able to even see them coming.

                                  The problem with HThrusting Sword running R2 is that you see the opposing player's animation suddenly update, but it's too late to react to, impossible to visually react to even.

                                      I only play PvE and this thing is a beast (with the Great Epee or the Bloody Helice) + Fingerprint-Shield. I'm now in NG+2 and its really comfortable to use, since you get nearly no damage and can hide behind your shield. Maybe not the hardest way to play, but its nice to get something on without being scared to get killed fast.

                                        if only rolling attacks with the powerstance wasn't so terrible. But still, this thing gets 150 bleed build up maxed out with blood infusion. Add onto that repeating thrust, which hits four times? Who needs a Rivers.

                                              Walk left with your guard up while your opponent is doing the sprint r2 with these. Backstab if your fast enough or press r2 to roll catch them when they expect a backstab.

                                                I started using this weapon pretty early on in PvP and I've noticed over time it is becoming a lot more common to see. Definitely a meta weapon, which is a shame because I generally try to avoid using meta weapons.

                                                Nevertheless, this weapon is really fun to use in both PvP and PvE, a lot of good ashes to place on this. People sometimes take issue with the running R2 but it's pretty well telegraphed, much easier to dodge than the crouch poke of the greatsword. I think one of the big reasons this weapon is very common is because of it's scaling, it really goes well with any infusion in the game and has a wide variety of ashes that work with it. If/once bleed builds and status effects in general get nerfed, it's very likely we will be seeing this weapon a lot more.

                                                  This is a cool weapon, I just wish that not everyone used it in pvp. 1 in every 4 fights I do, someone is using a godskin stitcher. Nothing really wrong with it, but I would like some build variety. Boring to fight the same godskin stitcher/glintstone pebble build 6 times in a row.

                                                          This thing is the perfect battlemage melee weapon. If you use glintstone pebble with it, and the usual alexanders talismans, you can supplement glinstone pebble as your cheap workhorse sorcery. With cold affinity, it gets a nice triple C scaling with int, dex, and strength that makes it super useful for a battlemage build.
                                                          For PvE its just a great treat. You can use expensive offensive spells without worrying about close range because of the great staggers this weapon does, and it shreds regular enemies and bosses. As a "heavy" weapon, it also stacks status effects very very fast.

                                                          I usually do hunting rather than invading pvp wise, and dear lord this thing is an absolute treat. It's lightweight, only 7.0 somehow, so I'm able to easily have a light load with Carian Regal Scepter and fashion armor. The sprinting R2 has absurd range, and it has great combos off of either sprint poke.
                                                          It can outrange RoB, and if you use glinstone pebble, you can poise a seppuku dual naginata. I was doing this on 10 poise wearing goldmask cloths and nox greaves.
                                                          I usually switch between baiting bullgoats into glintstone pebble or trading with a sprinting r2 followed by a gavel of haima, which has possibly the best hyperarmor in the game.
                                                          This is a wonderful weapon, and a great antimeta to poke bleed builds and RKR colossal weapons. I highly recommend cold if you are doing a battlemage build.
                                                          For PvP, I just run a light load with DragonCrest and Opaline Hardtear to compensate, and run highly offensive spells. Ranni's Dark Moon complements this weapon surprisingly well, as you can sprint R2 to roll catch if people dodge it, but in my experience, most invaders eat it, and a sprint R2 will catch either a roll catch or a runner.

                                                            I really liked this thing when it first became used in PvP, now I just get tired of seeing it
                                                            Whenever I see an invader use this with scaled / veterans / bullgoats armor I just roll my eyes, because I know exactly how theyre going to play
                                                            theyre going to fish for running r2s, jump attack into r1 true combo (usually with rkr), and play passive waiting for you to make a mistake
                                                            pretty unfortunate this became a meta weapon, its beautiful but on latency theres almost never a chance to punish people that use it

                                                              this thing is legit fire actually. the charge heavy carried my Quality Build v/s elden beast after my pizza cutter fell off hard, and in pvp my god... the hitbox on the running thrust attacks is 50% bigger than the animation leads you to believe most of the time. this stick is LONG has LONG reach and pokes well with or without shield. 10/10 would wield this stick again. its also a banger on any build.

                                                                      Currently I am at 60 faith and 25 dex and 26 str. With flame art it deals crazy amount of damage because flame scales with faith. Having a blast in pvp.

                                                                        At +24 with a keen affinity, 60 dex, and electrify armament this thing outdamages the dragon king cragblade significantly. The cragblade had the extended range with the running R2 and the WA does a lot of damage. They're both great weapons but I give the edge in pve to the stitcher

                                                                          has anyone used this on an int/dex build? I started with prisoner, so I'm locked into int hybrids on this character (if I want to stay at a reasonable level and not waste level up's neither) I started with moonveil and either an ice or lightning Utchi so I can powerstance. It's a pure melee build though, I only use int for damage on melee weapons. I'm just looking for other options to dual wield. godskin stitcher and peeler both look great, but probs better on arcane builds. I need to work with what I have though... (for this character at least)

                                                                                  godsking stichter's feint attack has a lower poise breakpoint than the other heavy thrusters, meaning you need less poise to tank through it
                                                                                  I think this is because it uses the poise dmg of the first hit of its charged heavy, not sure tho

                                                                                    This weapon was a big disappointment for me, no unique weapon art, the damage is nice but the heavy attack is the worst among the archtype. Uncharged is a significant downgrade with range and utility, and charged isn't much different. Go for the epee instead, you can get it much earlier too.

                                                                                          I've checked and this weapon appears to be a bit longer than the Great Epee, as to compensate it's less better scaling.
                                                                                          Though I have not compared their hitboxes to be sure of that.

                                                                                                  Great weapon, I put bloodhound step on it, and destroyed Mohg Lord of Blood with it. The charged R2 is very potent, and seems to build up stagger on bosses very well. Reach is also great, and speed is nice for a weapon that is this long.

                                                                                                    Does anyone have any suggestions for a good ash of war to place on this or the Great epee? This is on a strength build.

                                                                                                      Definitely more of a Dex weapon than a Str one.
                                                                                                      At 20 Str, 40 Dex I get 520 AR Keen infused.
                                                                                                      At 40 Str, 20 Dex I get 504 AR Heavy infused.
