If you have extra slots there really isn't any reason to not have the defense buffs. They require a staggering 10 faith to use, and don't need any scaling. You don't even need to meet the stat requirements for a seal.

It’s actually better than barrier of gold now. This with hyper armor buffs on any absurdly busted ranged L2 can blast apart mages… for like 2 points of investment. And you can move while casting which is invaluable. I time the cast as a roll catch after I hit a mage and know he’s gonna panic roll. Barrier of gold isn’t worth a slot let alone 10 points of investment that could be in vigor, armor or even fp.

basically a requirement for invasions, especially at high level where mages excel

Having this should be mandatory for all builds but beware: Sorcery hits too hard for this to be worth casting in combat and risking a hit. You’ll also feel underwhelmed by the buff, since it won’t allow you to tank magic the way barrier of gold allows you to almost ignore magic. This spell will only prevent a one shot in pvp and pve. Still worth it.

"sorceries are harder to dodge and do way more DMG, it's unfair compared to faith".. meanwhile any build can use this and 95% of sorceries get nerfed by it. Let me keep they're builds.. only body buff I run in PvP on all builds

cheese every sorcery based bosses with this makes the fights so much easier.
does this stack with barrier of gold if so that is a 95% magic damage reduction.
60 from barrier of gold 35 from magic fortification.
the 95% only lasts for 70 second though because of barrier of gold 70 second duration

Casting this will overwrite the buff from eating spellproof dried liver and vice versa. And since this buff is stronger use this one if you can.

Is there a single boss in the game that is really dangerous and uses magic damage? There's rennala, the glintstone dragons, maybe necromancer garus, they're not that bad. Magic resistance is a pvp tool lol. That's my working theory.
