I feel like this entity would have used the Nameless King's Dragon/Bird moveset that he rides on in his first phase

      • Anonymous

My personal theory is that he assumed human form when he ruled Stormveil, as evidenced by the throne room past Goddrick’s arena, and his human form was known as the Storm Lord, the character who Godfrey is said to have fought alone (Sourxs: Elden Lord’s set).

careful, i gave them to her before the all knowing was in his office. when i did get him in his office, he gave me the option "about her despair," which apparently erased that i gave her the ashes before. Now, all i get from her is "leave."

I feel like this should have been summonable but only during a particular boss fight. I have a theory that he blew Farum Azula into the sky so maybe he would have been Placidusax's rival and would summon for his fight. Maybe he would have had more heads and Stormhawk King would have torn one off and then left. Kind of an event thing like Siegward in DS3.

Really wish you could actually use this as a summon through like an alternate quest that locks Nephelis or something dude sounds cool like a version of serosh but for us instead

I really never knowed what to do with that thing lol and always forgot to check it up here. I thought I need to revival the Stormhawk King and I thought it has something to do with Kenneth Haights search for a new king, but never got in mind to give it to Nepheli lol

I’m surprised by the lack of inferring here. I miss when souls fans would put even a slight bit of effort into theory crafting. These ashes are going to be nepheli’s version of Godfrey and serosh. She’s the heir and current ruler of Limgrave if you complete her quest, and it’s obvious a lot of quests set characters up to come back in a future installment. Not dlc, but a whole new game a decade from now. Y’all have completely forgotten what “setting up a future storyline” entails. Most characters like Rya or Jar bairn has endings that indicate a long amount of time needs to pass before they return or make it to their goals, as is nepheli’s. These aren’t “unfinished storylines” this is how set ups in writing work. Sorry you crybabies have to wait a little bit for course on a fictional character. I know I’m gatekeeping but honestly if you’re going to get upset like this then go to Skyrim, this community has always been hit or miss but elden ring really sucked in a lot of annoying fake fans.

I agree with the condoluted questlines being annoying. However the part about fighting bosses over and over to learn their move sets is the point of the game. If it's too hard for you play a different easier game. One of the main selling points of the game is finally defeating a boss that felt like it was impossible after dozens of attempts

I gave Nepheli the stormhawk king BEFORE even talking to gideon about helping her get back on her feet, assuming it wasn't necessary for the quest progression or that I could do it right after talking to her. Nepheli accepted the ashes, but now the dialogue with Gideon is no longer available and she won't move from the Roundtable to Stormveil (I have defeated Morgott). Did I just randomly mess up the quest for doing dialogues in the wrong order? :T

That's a BIG problem with this game NO journal/guide for these confusing quest lines. It's a fun game but beating certain bosses is just a PAIN IN THE ARSE! Who wants to memorize enemy move-sets, get one shotted, spend 2-3 hours on one boss, I'd rather just cheese the MF and move on. trying to kill a boss over and over and over is NOT Fun, and don't say get GUD, I'm sick of that phrase, I work for a living I don't have that kind of time to waste on a boss fight, I wanna have fun not frustration, get plenty of frustration at work. and what's with the invasion from some prick if you wanna call in a friend for help, then you get some prick invading to f*%k up your progress, why don't they keep PVP out of PVE, or at least be given the choice if you like or don't like some prick coming in your game.

Here's a phoenix-looking grand ol' bird but sike it's a key item, we'll let you summon the pigeon or the pigeon with the bag on its head tho.

Nepheli loux is descended of storm lord's bloodline. I think after defeating Storm Lord, Godfrey took baby nepheli and let Gideon take care of her. I dont know why, but Gideon and Godfrey seems have a good connection. When fight him as a boss, Gideon know Godfrey there or perhaps both of them set a foot to leyndell together. Five tarnished introduced at the start cutscene, only Gideon who doesnt have clear goal/age to become elden lord.

Is this the Storm Lord Godfrey defeated? Or was that the Dragonlord Placidusax? or maby the god Placidusax was waiting for?

how are you ever supposed to know to go to the tutorial area, then give this spirit the nepheli, without a guide???

There's no trigger to give this to her even when I have this already. Am I missing something? I didn't give her the potion too.

Using an imbued stonekey on the 2nd Belfry in The Four Belfries teleports you to the chapel of anticipation and lets you fight the first boss you encountered when you started the game, upon defeat you can walk up the chapel and take the stairs to the right and find this item laying around. It was weird finding it there.

As of the new patch it’d be a cool motif of the Stormhawk filling the same role as Godfrey’s Lion spirit, only for Nepheli in this case.

Thought she was supposed to trade with us and give us an ax. She just told me she really likes the ashes. They basically told me to leave. Now I’m sitting here kind of pissed thinking about murdering her and taking back my ashes.

It is possible to obtain this item early in NG+ using a combination of a midair Placidusax's Ruin and spamming the weapon art of the Hand of Malenia to get over the locked door in the prologue area.

I don't think FromSoft would just leave an NPC unfinished like this. Maybe there is something around Stormveil that we missed?

                                            • Anonymous

all these unfinished quest lines are pretty annoying. At least nothing blatantly felt like there was a whole other branch of quest missing from the NPC in DS#, they just added onto some of them with the dlcs.

anyone tried geting forgetfullnes potion in volcano manor just to see if you can give the wrong potions to these npcs

You don't need to show Gideon the potion. You can keep it and give it later to the Dung Eater to receive his ash instead.

I was able to give the ashes to her and I still haven't turned in Seluvis's potion to anybody. There must be more to her sidequest.

How about showing it to roderiko or kenneth or even blacksmith
i havent tried though but might worth a shot

                                                      • Anonymous

You can give this to Nepheli at any point after killing Omenkiller in the Village of the Albinaurics and exhausting both her and Gideon's dialog in Roundtable Hood. Has nothing to do with Seluvis' potion quest. Next step of her quest is unclear.

                                                        • Anonymous

Does not require giving the potion to Gideon, just required her to be disowned. You're free to give the potion to Dung Eater if you want his puppet and still grab the ashes.

In my game I didn't even have the option to give her potion to her and gave her the hawk ash. I had already done Renna's storyline so Seluvis was dead anyway.

You can give the ashes Nephali after she has been disowned, though no idea what it does yet.
Note that I was unable to give her the potion from Selivus afterwards, so they may be mutually exclusive.

                                                                  • Anonymous

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

                                                                        • Anonymous
