Elden Ring Conspectus Scroll Notes & Tips

FAQ: Who should I give the Conspectus Scroll to Elden Ring?

  • Players have questioned who you can give the scroll to and what the differences are to giving it to each character. After obtaining the Conspectus Scroll from the body near the Great Hall of the Raya Lucaria Academy this can either be given to Sorceress SellenMiriel, Pastor of Vows, Preceptor Seluvis or Thops. Giving it to either NPCs will unlock the ability to purchase additional Spells from them: Glintstone Cometshard and Star Shower. Make sure you remember who you gave this scroll to since you will need to return this character in order to purchase or obtain these specific spells. Once you have given the scroll, these spells will only be available from that character. Choosing to give it to either character will not affect any questlines or have any additional consequences. There are no additional benefits to giving them to any particular character.
  • The available characters you can give it to are learned sorcerers which are capable of unlocking special Sorceries. Sorceress Sellen has a number of different locations Depending on your progress in her questline. Thops can be found at Church of Irith and later moves to Liurnia of the Lakes. Miriel, Pastor of Vows can be found  in the Church of Vows and Preceptor Seluvis is found at Seluvis's Rise after his encounter at Ranni's Rise. Choose your character and which location you prefer to obtain your spells if you choose to pursue a Sorcery Build.
  • Refer to the location instructions above or the map coordinates to assist in locating the scroll. Each NPC's locations can also be found on the Elden Ring Interactive Map

I always give the scrolls I find to Miriel. You can also give him prayerbooks for incantations too and he never moves around like the others do. basically a one stop magic shop.

there is a bug that rare occurrence that even if you have this scroll in ur possession, speaking to Thops will not have the option to give it to him.

In case you did what I did and got it at the time and gave it to someone and now you want to switch to a sorcery build but have no idea where the spell is.

If it's not with Sellen, Mirel or Thops (if he died you can get his ball bearing and purchase the spells from the Twin Headed vendor in Roundhold) you most likely gave it to Seluvis.

That's what I did and it took me a while to figure out where to buy the Sorcery from. If Seluvis died because you finished Ranni's quest, you can take his ball bearing and buy the spell from the Twin Headed vendor in Roundhold like with Thorp. Hope this helps someone.

incredibly annoying that giving this to Miriel locks you out of quests AND further spells, with no reward. it expects you to play in a very specific path by going caelid -> raya lunaria. grr lol

WARNING, GIVING THIS SCROLL TO MIRIEL [ESP WITH THAT GATESTONE WARP] WILL INVALIDATE THE SELLEN QUEST! She has 2/3 scrolls in my world and I cannot talk to the grieving witch in Witchbane.
