Messmer's Kindling is a Key Item in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Key Item in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Key Items in Elden Ring include a wide variety of items found in specific locations or are given by a related NPCs which are used to unlock areas, quests, and to further progress the game's story.

If Messmer Had his sinful power (the base serpent) sealed with that eye with grace , then Melina, his sister , has the same thing with her opened eye which seals his power and maybe her memory? Of being the Gloam eyed queen. (My English isn't great sry guys )

Melina is one of Radagon and Marika's offsprings and subsequently Malenia's, Miquella's and Messmer's sibling.

I think the missing eye implies he is Marika / Radagon's child. The other two children were also born with birth defects.

I think Messmer = Smouldering
I also believe that his father was radagon due to his red hair, follows the theme of radagon children bearing red hair

Still haven’t read everything in SOTE yet, but I think the Marika / Radagon Rebis may have had Mesmer & Melina before or while she was married to Godfrey. Melina was supposed to succeed Marika as the Gloam Eyed Queen Empyrean & burned the Erd Tree during the Godskin uprising, but was ultimately defeated. This may have prompted Mesmer to go on the crusade against the others who represented a threat the Erdtree.

I read somewhere else that the last sentence was something like: Messmer, much like his younger sister, bore a vision of fire.
Which one is correct then?
This "sister" is definitely Melina, Enia specific said the kindling to burn the erdtree must be a special one, "Of one who envisions the flame", which is exactly whay was said here, only Messmer and his "sister" can be the kindling to burn the erdtree, and what do you know, Melina becomes the kindling.
