Golden Vow (Tool) is a Tool in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Tool in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Golden Vow (Tool) uses FP to increase attack and defense.
Remains that turned into light after being blessed with an incantation of the Erdtree. Craftable item. Uses FP to rise into the air, increasing attack and defense of caster and nearby allies. The incantation serves as a rite that honors the comrades who placed their faith in the distant Erdtree and gave their lives in the crusade.

Some quick and dirty science tells me the damage buff is around 12.75%, which is slightly higher than the ash of war at 11.5% but lower than the incantation at 15%.
Oh and the duration is only 45s and fp cost of 30. It's a decently nifty tool.

I think it's super annoying that you have to farm a bunch to get a substantial number of these. Why is From allergic to making useful consumables convenient to obtain. It's not even an interesting form of rarity, it just forces you to spend a lot of time doing tedious busywork (or firing up cheat engine) if you want to not put 25 points in faith for the incantation version.

Since now you get consumables back in the Arena, this might be an amazing new little power-up for all builds

Do we know if using this gives us the same boosts as the Golden Vow ash of war or spell? Or is it improved? Please don't reply with speculation. I'm looking for confirmed data.

oh right, my pocket golden vow i didn't use since heian era, i forget about it

Noticed a potential bug when using this tool. Seems to cause certain ashes of war to do zero damage during the duration of the spell. Specifically noticed this when using Rolling Sparks.

Doesn’t look that useful.
1. You have to farm it
2. I can just slap the AOW into a light weapon and call it a day

This tool version lasts for 45 seconds, just like the Ash of War.

Depending on what the duration and stat boosts are (i noticed that it doesn't give the spell damage buff from the buff icons) this may actually be pretty amazing, free up a spell slot and allows a stat boost to non casters for a small fp price

Why would I ever use this when both the ash and spell are available earlier in the game.
Lovely utility for any non-faith builds! Thanks to everyone who put the work in to sort out the exact buff amounts
