I haven't found a single good sorcery in the DLC yet. Was looking forward to this then realized it doesn't work with Magic shrouding cracked tear and Godfrey's Icon somehow doesn't boost the damage when you charge the spell. Pitiful damage, 2 memory slots, long cast time, misses if enemies are moving towards you.

Was actually hoping it'd be the barrage of stone arrows he does. As it is now it feels like an overlap with Fleeting Microcosm, both doing repeated explosions at a distant location. (And neither feels nearly as stylish as Profaned Flame / Flame Swathe :> )

Unfortunately you cannot free-aim it close to you like with Microcosm. It will always appear a set distance away even when you look straight down.

Even thought it can be charged, it does NOT get boosted from Godfrey icon, just tested on multiple enemies.
Gaius lore: Very cool, good friends with both Messmer for sticking by him and stood as close rival (and presumably friends) of Radahn through their dablings in Gravity magic
Gaius fight: Only really winnable on melee only with high endurance, the double-turtle and curved sword talismans, the verdigris greatshield and a big enough stick to poise-break him

The claim to fame here is that if charged it procs 3 times at range.
Again found late in the dlc but it's a good spell.

Why is the spell so big in the fextra showcase? In the game its not nerlay as big. Did they pre release nerf it?

Hey, the ONE new sorcery that doesn't completely suck. How disappointing.
I think this might be the only DLC pure Int sorcery I find even remotely somewhat interesting... Well this and Fleeting Microcosm. I wonder if a future Patch might make me change my mind.

When fully charged, you get two bursts of the blades in quick succession for double damage. Very good for damage at a distance, and the area is big enough for crowd control. Like the other gravity spells it does above average stance damage.

Impenetrable thorns is better in every way, only costs one slot, and costs less FP. Blades of stone has terrible tracking and can't hit an enemy at point blank. Even if you hit with the first charge, the second and third usually misses. The only way I see this being usable is on giant targets that don't move.
