Isn't this just Ghostflame Explosion at home? 1600 for vortex and 1950 for ghostflame for me. + godfrey icon synergy and fire dot on ground.

      • Hmm... I like the spell. 26 Faith is a bit high for me *personally*, for my character specifically - but I do like the spell and the FP cost is surprisingly decent. I was genuinely quite surprised at first. If we were playing a guessing game and had to guess its FP cost, 29 is not the answer I would have gone for. But to be fair, this is true for a lot of the new DLC spells, I'll give them at least that : they're not all that super impressive for the most part, but the FP cost for (most of) these spells is incredibly low. This one included. But for some reason, I get really stuck on the "2 slots" restriction for Vortex of Putrescence. Like it's a good spell, but not quite "2-slots-requirement"-good, if that makes sense? Look, *I know*, on a very very focused build, the slots aren't an issue. You can enter a boss room with the intention of only using 3 spells total, and in which case, slots are obviously not going to matter at all. Yes, I don't disagree with that. But as someone who likes to explore and use a huge variety of the spells in generic PvE, and have a little something for every situation, this is definitely a bummer. Pair that with the decent/hefty Faith requirement (which I understand, but I'm just saying, I don't naturally have this much Faith built-in), and I think I'll just have to sit this one spell out. But not a bad spell.

Pretty fast cast time. Not the worst in FP at 29. I see it being used as a get off me tool in PvP. Interesting application of frost. It’s kinda cool it throws out flame in a circle similar size to mogh spear and then the flames move in towards the caster. I bet you can combo it with zamor ice storm. I bet it slaps on large bosses vulnerable to frost.

People are really discovering just now that different remembrance rewards can require different stats?

Godrick, the first remembrance you're likely to fight, has the Grafted Dragon, and by y'alls logic his axe should scale with faith like the grafted dragon does.

Y’all complaining about int/faith/arcane… I’m loving the DLC with 30 in each stat. Using everything is way more fun than being hard stuck into a certain build just for some extra scaling.

Was the knight going to burn St. Trina but drank the nectar and became her knight right before we fall from the sky and kick its face in?

That’s not what the icon even looks like ingame guys calm down. It’s probably just a placeholder or something

This should really be an arcane spell, due to the cleavers arcane scaling. Sad that its hard to use with the actual boss weapon

Despite the icon looking like Meteorite of Astel, the actual spell is reasonably different. It fires a burst in a big circle around you that then winds back inward. Unlike Meteorite you can't channel it and the projectiles aren't random. It covers considerably more area than any single meteor but doesn't do as much damage as a direct meteor hit.
