Glintblade Trio is a Sorcery in Elden Ring. It is a brand-new Sorcery in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLCGlintblade Trio spell that creates three glintblades that seek enemies.

An old sorcery of the Carian royal family. Creates a sigil overhead, from which three enemy-seeking glintblades appear after a brief delay. This sorcery can be used while in motion. Charging increases the delay. The prototypical form of sword-phalanx sorceries saw a different subsequent refinement in the realm of shadow.

Where to find Glintblade Trio

Where to find Glintblade Trio:

  • The Glintblade Trio spell is found by looting it off a corpse inside Castle Ensis. After passing through the iron gate just beyond the chapel in the midpoint of the castle, then dropping off the side of the cliff and climbing up the ladders to the rooftop of the chapel. You can then drop down on the north side of the roof to get to the corpse hanging over a ledge that has the spell. [Map Link] [Video Location]

This spell shows its true colors when you’ve got DEX above 60, the spellcasting hand talisman from ymir. Glindtblade blizzard

      • This is wierd. Charged casts, Trio has 9% more damage. BUT for normal cast, Trio has 13% LESS damage.
I understand a case where we trade more FP for a bit more damage because we can only thread one or two cast in between the dodges.
So one cast with more damage is more valuable eventhough it cost more FP.
But this one, we spend more FP for less damage !!?? Where does that FP go to?

It takes 4 charged casts to stagger a giant when hitting the chest, while not even 7 charged casts of normal glintblades can stagger one, at the cost of being less cheesy with more fp it has around double the stance damage

(80INT/Carian Regal Scepter) I get that this is supposed to be the "phalanx" version of Magic Glintblade but it does almost the same amount of damage when charged despite there being three separate glintblades, and that's if all three hit. Carian Phalanx does considerably more damage than Glintblade Phalanx for about the same jump in FP cost and I don't know why the same rules don't apply here. Magic glintblade has a high enough chance of just straight up missing that I want that extra FP to be worth it. Trio also forces you to go through the full casting animation each time you use it, which makes it even less appealing because Magic Glintblade can be cast repeatedly without interruption, regardless of whether you charge it or not, so why not just use that instead. I was so excited to pick this up because it could have been so cool and am just disappointed?? There are so few int-only sorceries in the DLC, there's like 9 but two are from remembrances or something, that I wish we had been thrown some sort of bone. I can see how this would suck in pvp, don't get me wrong, but nerf it there, not in pve.

currently, it’s not really an upgrade to Magic Glintblade. The 3 projectiles get reduced by resistance 3 times, so Magic Glintblade’s higher single target damage and FP efficiency performs better

why does it deal less damage than the basic magic glintblade, does it atleast do more poise? its also way slower to cast comparatively and costs slightly more fp

                • Anonymous

                  (TLDR; useless)
This does 1-4% more damage than magic glintblade, while costing over 50% more fp. Shorter delay, but that’s actually a downside for pvp, and also pve if you are trying to surprise an enemy. This needs like 25% damage buff and for the blades to fire consecutively (not all at once).
Tested at 50 int with meteorite staff, with multiple buff and talisman combinations. Tested against upper ainsel claymen, first step tree sentinel, and fort faroth bats.

"Hey, here's glintblade trio, a spell that shoots 3 glintblades instead of 1! It has longer cast time, a higher int req, and a slightly higher fp cost."
"So it would do triple damage, right?"
*Literally almost equal ****ing damage to the normal glintblade spell, with way more wind up, and the extra projectiles love to miss*
Thanks, fromsoft. I needed another spell to never equip.
