51 poise for the guts armour is ridiculous. Should be at minimum 80.
- Anonymous
looks so much better if you replace the helm with the black knight helm
- Anonymous
Always thought this is the most badass looking set except for two things. 1. The helm looks stupid, like why does it still have maliketh's fur lmfao;; 2. Stats on it should almost be doubled for how legendary it is. The boring ass knight set has better stats than this...Overall still the best drip in the game despite its flaws, imo.

I like to think of this armor as a special (kind of magical) piece of equipment different from others in that it can fit the wearer regardless of their size. When he goes into his second phase, Maliketh gets rid of his cleric clothes and this black armor materializes on him, sort of IronMan's style. How cool is that. Maliketh is just that guy, and I'll wear his armor and blade to beat the game for the last time. Best boss ever!
- Anonymous
this and the royal knight set still have garbage poise for their weight, great balancing
- Anonymous
Other than Maliketh's blade, what weapons look good with this set?
- Anonymous
they finally added the real helm in the dlc, that being the black knight helm. looks really sick
- Anonymous
One of my favorite armor sets in the entire game, if you exclude the weird ass looking helmet. It looked fine on Maliketh, but weird on our character. The gold compliments the black excellently, and I love the sharp, claw like fingertips on the gauntlets. I mainly wear this on my Frenzied Flame character and I really think it goes well with the whole FF aesthetic, especially in the ending cutscene with the flame head.

The armour's just designed for a quadruped, it just don't look right on some guy.

Awww, kevin finally switched off of Radahn's set... to this

nearly identical stats to the Night's Cavalry set, but you give up physical, strike, fire, and lightning negation as well as immunity and some poise, in exchange for the tiniest amount of extra holy negation and more vitality. and by tiniest amount, I mean the chest piece offers 0.2 more holy negation than the night's cavalry armor and the other pieces are only 0.1 higher.
Literally the chest piece ruins it for me, it seems so bulky and doesn’t look anything like how the boss wore it

"It's berserkin' time" -Berserk Guy (I think his name is Nuts or something idk)
- Anonymous
Can still see your chin with the helmet on
The armor doesn't give you the same midriff that Maliketh has
Why ever wear this armor? If it didn't give you Holy resist before the Beast it would never leave my storage box.
- Anonymous
Everyone who wore Radahn's set for most of the game, changed to this at the end of the game.
- Anonymous
My main complain is helmet. No eye holes, weird crack on the forehead and goofy hair that can't be altered(Hair was clearly part of Malekith's mane, did we scalp the poor fellow?). Sanguine Noble Hood is a good replacement
- Anonymous
Maliketh looks so sick but this armor is goofy on us tarnished. The breastplate should have been a skanky crop top just like it is on the big boi.

And the reward for most out of place armor set in the game goes too

This set is one of the reasons why I hope that Fromsoft in the upcoming DLC will introduce something similar to passive ashes of war for armor.
- Anonymous
This set with Black Hood, black skin colour and the Flame Frenzy glowing yellow eyes. Finally I found my perfect fashion for this game.

Something I don’t understand is that why a lot of the armor in the game, especially the ones on the heavy category, once you wear , it makes you look like you ate 40 Hamburgers. Like is it only me?, the chest pieces are to wide sometimes, obviously at the exception at those that are supposed to be like that. But others like Maliketh, blaidd and radhan set the legs and the arms are good, but the chest for some reason they are wide and bulky it makes you look silly.

This resembles the Day Armor from Castlevania much more than the Berserker armor
- Anonymous
I'm sad this set is an almost direct downgrade of the Black Night Cavalry set, because it looks amazing but has very little reason to actually use it. I want Fashion Souls, but my brain wants actual functionality
- Anonymous
Am I the only one who thinks the chest looks weird with all these mini-shield-things?

helm should've been fully closed with beast's mouth to fully resemble Berserk's armor. such a ****ing waste...

making your character slim af makes this armor look twice as good but there is still not a good helmet out there match, give the altering body a chance if you really like this armor

Just a PSA comparing this set to the Night’s Cavalry set, as they interestingly have the exact same weight values for every piece (and are both S tier fashion imo).
Night’s Cavalry: Significantly higher physical, strike, and fire damage negation. Higher poise and slightly higher immunity.
Maliketh’s set: Slightly higher holy damage negation. Immensely higher vitality.
All other stats are exactly the same. Realistically the only reason to use Maliketh’s set over Night’s Cavalry set is if you are going up against deathblight enemies due to the massive vitality bonus. The extra holy damage negation is negligible (0.5 for the whole set) compared to the extra physical negation of the Night’s Cavalry set, as there are few (none?) enemies that use ONLY holy damage. They either have split damage attacks or have separate attacks that do physical damage and holy damage individually. The main exception being enemy players using coded sword/cipher pata.

The armour sets have been a mixed bag all through the game, some are really good others a steaming pile of dog turds and that includes some of the armour sets worn by the shard bearers or landmark bosses that can be bought from Enia. Radahn's set has a really stupid looking helm reminiscent of the troll toys that were a kids craze in the 80s or if that was before your time, think massive twat. But the set at least has good protection and a higher robustness stat than any of the sets I have, even if immunity would have made more sense given the lore and enmity between him and Malenia.
I liked the tree sentinel set enough to respec a decent chunk of my VIG into END so I could use my preferred weapons and a bow without getting fat rolls. But the night's cavalry set is a massive disappointment It's one of the nicest looking armour sets in the game but has s**te protection and damage negation. They are powerful mini bosses and they don't melt from a couple of hard hits so when I got their set I was expecting it to be a good one but it's just about on a par with the mausoleum knight set. Which brings me to the point, the armour you can buy after killing that badass motherf**ker Maliketh has worse fire damage negation than the godrick knight set and the exact same damage negation for physical, strike and slash but a little higher pierce damage negation 12.9 on the Godrick knight set to 13.5 on Maliketh's. That makes zero f**king sense, how does the armour worn by Queen Marika's shadow-bound beast who according to the lore defeated the queen of the godslayers and locked away the power of the black godslaying flame have armour on a par with a basic knight's set you can get in Limgrave? I'm not whining because I want every nice set to be heavy armour there should be good armour sets for those who want light, medium or heavy armour. Or it would have been better if Boc could change each set according to any given players preference so instead of changing the flappy capes a player could choose to have a lighter tree sentinel set but with lower damage negation and protection.

Tips for the next patch: stop nerfing characters and add a bonus for wearing a full set, specially the ones you get from a boss fight. The set looks coll but I see no reason to wear it other than fashion.
Maybe adding a bonus to the black blade's skill damage, range or speed or reduce its fp cost or something like that.
That goes for the other sets as well. Wearing a full set SHOULD ALWAYS give you an extra bonus.

Reminds me of the Daywalker Armour from the Netflix Castlevania show.

Besides the helmet I love it. Also looks so much like the Guild Wars 1 obsidian armor for warriors. If I could paint the Nox helmet black it would almost be a cosplay
- Anonymous
Doesn't look anywhere near as sexy on us as it does on Maliketh, like they could've atleast had the exposed midriff, so disappointing.
- Anonymous
Armor looks amazing on Maliketh and i was very exited to get it for myself.
Unfortunately for the player character the oversized helmet, huge shoulder plates and boring chest make the armour very disappointing.

- Anonymous
why isn't it as skimpy on the player as it is on Maliketh, I want my crop top plate armor
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
The helmet feels empty, I wish it either was closed off more like malenias helm or they actually put a wolf head in it so the shape makes sense
- Anonymous
Seems to reference Warhammer. If the name wsn't enough of a given, it looks like Maliketh's set.
- Anonymous
I refuse to believe that tiny little curtain hanging off you by a thread gives 5 poise
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Why is this the "strictly worse" night's cavalry armor?
Both are black, they have the same weight, this just has bad stats.
Not that I really care, but as a big-boss armor I thought this would be a slight upgrade.

That helmet looks great on Maliketh but if you wear it it just makes you look like an edgy furry. Rest of the set is drippy tho.
- Anonymous
wish you could alter the helmet to remove the plumage, that way i could truly have berserker armor.

I did finally beat him, but I lost count of the number of times I got him to like 2 or 3 HP with no issues and then he just one-shots me with some maniacal combo.

Well, if I ever wanted to cosplay Malekith the Witch King from Warhammer Fantasy, here's my chance!

Looks more like Guts armor from Berserk than the Blaaid's set does. Imo.

if you don't like the helmet and want a hood instead, try the sanguine noble hood with this armor, matches perfectly

https://imghoster.de/image/9HPe here a screenshot of the armor. Not really pretty imo
The listed weight is off for the full set. It should be 30.5

The armor, gauntlets, and greaves looks sick af and make your character super built, unfortunately if you dont like the helm theres not much you can substitute it with besides the blood noble hood. Please tell me if theres a better alternative
Dragoon from Final Fantasy :)
