Why is this the only set with really a really cool looking glintstone aesthetic? What a waste.

We need a different set and staff that boost Scadutree sorceries setnand staff that better match the Aesthetic/theme of those spells the Scadutree ones as all red really doesn't go well with the them aesthetically

I wish removing the cape still gave you bonus to the thorn sorcery. The robe underneath looks really good, especially on female characters like a Poison ivy cosplay.

For optimal use of the bonus of the set, replace the legs with bull-goat for 38 poise (51 poise with bull goat talisman)

Such a beautiful set. But no one use thorn sorceries anymore

i know it probably doesn't, but... does it buff the scadutree sorceries? I just want more thorns

I wish we could remove the blindfold without removing the hat. The drip would be unmatched!

For the rare thorn sorcery players, using the altered robe chest piece, you lose the thorn damage boost. My theory is that the red crystals are the boosters, therefore when you try the legs, no crystals -> no boost, and same for altered robe

Altering the hat removes the entire hat and leaves the blindfold. Like miyazaki has to be trolling us at this point. Great looking set nonetheless.

Objectively the best mage set besides the Snow Witch set, since it actually makes you look like a cool wizard and not a mess of crystals in a bathrobe or a weird burger king wannabe with a massive stone head
- Anonymous
The altered chest piece looks great on female characters, it's almost like a dark colored version of Melina's outfit

If you alter the helm it retains the 5% boost to thorn sorceries, but if you alter the chest you lose the 5%.

Now I can finally look cool as a mage instead of having crystals sticking out of my shoulders

a simple mix of the Altered Alberich's Hat, Sanguine Noble Chest, Alberich Bracers and the Sanguine Noble Waistcloth are my fav fashion for my Bleed Build

This set is BiS for sorcery builds. Not because of its stats -- the stats are worse than the Astrologer starter gear, and it only buffs two questionable spells -- but because it looks amazing.

Why do I see people who are asking where it is in the comments getting downvoted into oblivion?

equipping the chest piece of this set crashes the game for me since the 1.04 update.

I use the Hat; Lord of Blood Gown and Maliketh greaves and gauntlets. It all fits very well together

This boosts all TWO lame blood sorceries. A shame, since it looks amazing.

Here are my findings:
The head, chest, and gloves all boost thorn sorceries (briars of punishment and briars of sin), by about 5%.
The head and chest can be modified, however if you modify the chest (removes most of the red crystals from it), it no longer boosts thorn sorceries. Modifying the head doesn't affect the boost, it's 5% with the hat or just the headwrap.
The legs seem to have no effect on thorn sorceries whatso ever.
There doesn't appear to be a set boost from equipping the whole set.
Enjoy that blood mage build! It's quite fun for me so far :)

Bizarre numbers here for the sorcery effect.
Sorcery effect presumably (based on description) only applies to the hat (+altered), UNaltered robes, and cuffs.
Cast with a +10 Azur staff with 85 Int.
Base - 137.
1 piece - 144 (5.1% increase).
2 pieces - 153 (11.7% increase).
3 pieces - 163 (19.0% increase).
Cast with a +10 Azur staff with 85 Int, Staff of the Guilty in offhand.
Base - 164 (20% more damage than without SotG's bonus).
1 piece - 174 (6.1% more damage than base w/ SotG, 27% more damage than base without SotG).
2 pieces - 183 (11.6% more damage than base w/ SotG, 33.6% more damage than base without SotG).
3 pieces - 194 (18.3% more damage than base w/ SotG, 41.6% more damage than base without SotG).
In other words, its bonuses stack multiplicatively with Staff of the Guilty.
However, I have no clue what's up with the increments in Thorn Sorcery power for each set piece.

Actually you can get it early game....Go to the Tower of Return, at the very to theres a transportes chest. When you open it, you get teleported near Divine Bridge siete of grace and a lift that you cannot use. Hold on, wait for an invasion. The invader has to use the lift to get where you are. Kill the invader or try to ride lift to the bottom. Run thru some rooms. You will get to Fortified Manor site of grace. Alberich set is on the next room down the hallway. Enjoy!

Easy to get early on ( it worked for me) Go to the Tower of Return in Weeping Peninsula. Take the portal at top of tower. Grab Divine Bridge lost grace . Wait for an invasion. Hopefully, the invader will have take the lift up where you are. Kill him or grab the lift quickly to the bottom floor. From here, run and look for the Fortified Manor site of grace and grab it, the Alberich Set is is on next roomm. Enjoy!

Each piece (head, chest, and arm) individually is a 5% boost. Altogether, there might be a set bonus of another 5% because it boosted damage to 20% not ~15%.
Tested using 116 spell power, Demi-Human Queen Staff with various pieces on the Spear Guard by Gatefront site of grace.

This page (and the individual item pages) say they boost "thrown" sorceries. The in-game description says it boosts "thorn" sorceries, like the Staff of the Guilty. This seems to apply to the Briars of Sin and Briars of Punishment sorceries. Both the staff and the sorceries are faith based, so this seems like a niche armor set, not something for standard sorcerers.

Which part boost sorceries and by how much? Each piece, or one piece, or even do you need to have the full set equipped?

You get this in Lleyndell, the Royal Capital. Quite far east into the Dungeon, you enter an area that might seem familiar (known as Fortified Manor). In the middle of that area, you will find a corpse with this armor set.

You can loot it in Royal Capital. Go to the West Capital Rampart. There's a cathedral looking building southwest to the site of grace (look at the map). When you get in, the whole place is very similar to the Roundtable, get to the main hallway and there should be a body sitting on the other side, you can loot him to get all the armor pieces.

Using google-fu, I found this:
Alberich’s Pointed Hat / Robe / Bracers / Trousers – Lyndell, Royal Capital: West Capital Rampart – Drop down to the lower level, and go into the large room to the southwest to find these on a body.

Its near the West Capital Rampart site of grace at the Royal Capital, drop down and enter through the giant doorway right across from you. Not sure if there's pre-reqs to see the loot. Hope this helps.

Armor set can be found in Leyndell. There's a building that strongly resembles the Roundtable and you'll see a corpse in a large room on the far end of the red carpet.
