ppl saying this is bad have clearly never played a fighting game; a command dash that moves you really far forward in a short amount of time, has an active damaging hitbox that can stagger, can immediately be canceled into light or heavy attacks, and only has a brief start-up? This is the *ultimate* PvP chase skill, this will counter anyone who attacks out of hitstun, and if they roll you can easily catch with a light attack. Weapons like the iron cleaver get insane chase potential since you can cancel blinkbolt into the running charged heavy, grabs like inescapable frenzy become way harder to predict and avoid and can factor into mixups. Like come on, rather than looking at its lack of damage/unique followups in a vacuum, apply your mind to come up with situations it could be valuable. I could easily see this becoming a niche PvP favorite once people start theorycrafting setups with it. in PvE, I can see this being useful during boss attack strings with delays to effectively attack while dodging and also clearing more distance away from/behind them to follow up with more counter-attacks.

Slap this on the Smithscript dagger on dex build and melt folks like a butter. You blink, you throw daggers, you have double dipping damage scaling on both phys and lightning damage (all smithscript weapons have this weird double dip scaling). You my friend are a menace!

As an other comment states, it is a very fun aow to gap close with ranged opponent, both in PvE and PvP, with a decent amount of i-frames (need a little bit of practice to get used of the delay tho). Could have been one of my favorite aow if it had a follow up attack, but it doesn't unfortunately.

Every Element gets a sick ash of war and Lightning gets "a dash" compare this to the Gravity or Fire AoW we got in the DLC and dont let me Start on the Uniqe Magic Weapon Arts (i like them all im just sad Lightning isnt as cool as them)

Everyone complaining about this isn’t seeing the real beauty here. You can gap close mages in a flash.

Not really seeing a use case for this AoW sadly. I noticed it often would do very little to no damage and just immediately put me in line of fire for an attack. The recovery time and lack of travel distance also seems to remove any cases for using it for movement or other utility.

This does a little damage (on impact) and, while it doesn't have a unique followup, it does flow into R1 or R2 quickly (whereas it flows into a roll much more slowly). The damage isn't very high and it doesn't have enough stagger power to stagger e.g. miners, but it's nice aggressive cap close that combos into normal attacks. With the Milady, Blinkbolt > R2 is very nice and flows smoothly into R1-4, R2-2, or another Blinkbolt. Fun/10

location: fog rift catacombs. in the room with the descending spikes and the sorcerer at the very end (accompanied by two imps on either side), set up onto the platform where the sorcerer was, and when the spikes descend there will be a cavity you cna enter. Ride it to the top and in the chest is your loot.
