Ash of War: Shriek of Sorrow is an Ash of War and Upgrade Material in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Ash of War in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Ash of War: Shriek of Sorrow provides Occult affinity and the Shriek of Sorrow Skill. Ashes of War can be equipped on Weapons and Shields to modify the Skill or an equipment, or to apply affinities that modify scaling values.
This Ash of War grants an armament the Occult affinity and the following skill:
"Shriek of Sorrow: Skill utilized by the downtrodden. Scream, causing nearby enemies to flinch, while also recalling deep-seated resentment, boosting attack power based on the amount of HP remaining. The lower the HP, the greater the effect."
Usable on all melee armaments.

- Grants the skill Shriek of Sorrow
- Provides the Occult affinity
- Usable on all melee armaments.
- Skill Cost: 19 FP
- Increased AR based on HP Percentage
- 12.5% AR at 100% HP | 17.5% AR at 85% HP | 22.5% AR at 55% HP | 27.5% AR at 30% HP.
- The Tier of this effect is based on the HP percentage you have at the moment of casting. Thus healing or taking more damage does not change the AR unless Recast.
- The buff lasts for 40 Seconds. Regardless of Tier cast at.
- The Ability is Considered a Weapon Buff and thus does not apply to damage dealt by sources other than the weapon itself.
- Since it is a Weapon Buff it can not be used with Weapon Greases.
- Roar Medallion has no Effect When using this Ash.
