Remembrance of the Impaler is a Consumable Item in Elden Ring. It is a brand-new Remembrance in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Most Consumables grant various effects such as restorative properties for recovering HP, removing certain negative status effects or applying temporary buffs and debuffs, while others can be thrown at enemies to deal damage.
Remembrance of Messmer the Impaler, hewn into the Scadutree. The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader. Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes. A malevolent snake writhed within Messmer, and so his very mother plucked out his eye and put in its place a seal of grace. Yet, having done so, her fear compelled her to secret away her child within the realm of shadow. Hidden away—keeping company with the original sin, and a hatred that would not be confined.

But who was his father? Radagon? Why is it that Marika feared this serpent so much, when Malenia, who wasn't abandoned, is cursed with an arguably worse outer god? It's stated that both he and Gaius were like brothers to "the lion". Is this refering to Radahn? If that's the case, his existence isn't really a secret, is it?

I think am starting to understand why messmer's ghost soldiers are questioning why this war is never ending and ask themselves if Marika has abounded messmer, it seems like marika was fearful of the serpent that went inside messmer and sent him to the shadow realm to keep him away and the "holy war" was just a lie all along to keep him there which explains why this war never ended even though messmer's army had pretty much won.
Of course this is just a theory but I just feel bad for messmer because he was abandoned and it's implied he felt despair at everything that had happened to him.

I kinda feel bad for him. So far it looks like he just wanted to be accepted by his mother, who was a terrible parent.
And everything he did was motivated either by his unanswered love and yearning or by self-hatred, as he despised his cursed self.
Poor boy, what fate befell on you.

So...., Mesmer is Marika first child ? the one she had before Godfrey ?

Marika as a mother is like Jubileus from the Bayonetta series. Both Goddesses an afront to divinity with all the crap they get up to. And people think Rhea is bad, oh they have not seen a thing in comparison to Marki or Jubi
