Oridys's Rise Walkthrough

The entrance to Oridys's Rise is initially sealed by a barrier. There is a statue holding a glowing book by the entrance. Inspecting this statue presents players with a challenge to "Seek three wise beasts".

These beasts are represented as Ghostly Tortoises found nearby. These Tortoises need to be attacked to break parts of the seal.

  1. The first Tortoise can be found just a few steps to the north, opposite the tower's entrance.

tortoise 12. The second Tortoise is hiding in the bushes to the left of the steps leading up to the tower's entrance. If you pay close attention you'll see a blue shade emanating through the bushes.

tortoise 2

3. The final Tortoise can be found in a small pond southwest of the tower. This Tortoise is invisible until struck but will make splashes on the water. Attack where the splashes are to reveal the Tortoise.

tortoise 3

Once all three Tortoises are killed, players will get a notification that the seal has been broken. Go back to the tower, climb the ladder, then turn right to proceed up the stairs to reach a chest containing a Memory Stone which grants increases your Memory Slots by one, allowing for the memorization of more Sorceries or Incantations. Aside from this, there isn't much else to do at the tower.

I could only find one turtle and It was hanging of the side of the cliff to the right of the door. Tried rereading the sign and reloading, no more turtles. Can’t find the little pond either.

      • Anonymous

Wasn't working for me, then tried different times and both North and pond turtle finally showed. So if you can't sort it out, try different times of day till you get it!

        • Anonymous

okay so i found 2 of the turtles. the one in the pond first, then the one to left of the book in the bushes. spent over half an hour looking for the third one until eventually the door just opened up without ever even finding the 3rd turtle…okay then…

If the tortoises aren't there for you, read the imp statue's message again. I was bashing my head against the wall trying to find #2 but he was not there until I read the message again.

            • Anonymous

Still bugged. You can try restarting, waiting til night, or waiting at the site of grace, might work, might not. Really hope they address this soon cause a few of these towers are bugged like this

              • Anonymous

None of these turtles show up for me, I searched it up on YouTube and followed it exactly but it’s still not working, anyone got any ideas?

                • Anonymous

I've killed the other two, but my lake turtle is bugged. It showed up once, and I hit it and it didn't die. So I reloaded my game, and since then I've tried every combination of going at night, reinteracting with the message, traveling and resting at grace sites, and it won't show up again.

if you go at the very top of this tower, you can see a platform that you can jump on with Torrent. You can obtain the turtle shell shield that gives stamina regen, very good early game item.

well locations might be randomised i had 1 to the lft of the door one under the sign and i cant find the 3rd one

                      • Anonymous

for the tortoises to appear you need to interact with the message every time you reload the area (or maybe rest at a grace site?). the tortoises you've killed will stay dead though.
