Radahn, Consort of Miquella, is the formidable next form of Promised Consort Radahn, encountered after reducing his health to ~60%. In this enhanced form, Radahn retains his previous attacks but also gains powerful new abilities. Most of these new attacks are divine in nature, dealing heavier damage. One of his initial moves in this form is the Holy Explosion, where he levitates and summons an explosion of light over a wide area. Additionally, his swings are now imbued with divine power, increasing the damage. Overall, Radahn becomes faster and more lethal, making him more challenging.
To defeat Radahn in this form, timing is key. Despite his increased power, his health is already reduced to 75%, giving you a slight edge. Capitalize on the brief pauses after his combo attacks; these are opportunities to strike. Consistently taking advantage of these windows can gradually wear down his health. Be prepared to switch between offense and defense regularly, as Radahn’s counters can be very punishing if you’re caught off guard.
A particularly dangerous move to watch for is his five overhand slash, a long-range attack that can kill you fast if not avoided. When you notice Radahn beginning to levitate, roll back immediately and prepare to roll to your left to dodge the incoming overhand slashes. Throughout the battle, staying alert and adapting to Radahn’s patterns is key. His new divine attacks require heightened awareness and agility to dodge effectively. By balancing aggressive assaults during his recovery periods with cautious defense against his lethal strikes, you can gradually chip away at his health.
Note that in this phase, Radahn has an instant-kill move in the form of his grab attack. If he grabs you the first time, you get a debuff status above your head. If you are grabbed a second time, you are charmed and instantly killed. The only way to clear this status is to equip and use Miquella's Great Rune after the debuff has been applied.

Radahn, Consort of Miquella Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Gravity Cyclone | From a distance, Radahn leaps through the air while spinning with his two swords towards you ending in an explosion. | This can be countered by rolling just before Radahn gets to your position |
Bloodflame Slash | In close range, Radahn swings his sword towards you. The line created from the slash engulfs in bloodflames in the air and explodes. The bloodflame causes haemorrhaging. | Roll back thrice after Radahn slashes at you. If you are positioned close to him, you can alternatively roll once to avoid the sword, roll again behind him to avoid the bloodflame and the explosion should not hit you allowing an attack window. He begins attacking immediately after the explosion so be careful. |
Starcaller Cry | Radahn pulls you towards him with gravity which causes you to stagger. He then slams the ground and uses gravity to force rock spikes upwards. | When you see Radahn crossing his hands, immediately roll to avoid the gravity pull. If you are caught in it, immediately spam roll to recover and continue rolling backwards to create distance from the spikes. |
Meteor Summon | After Radahn, swings at you upward with his word that's covered with purple lightning, he stays in the air and hurls 8 debris with electricity at you. | Sprinting left or right and just before the rocks hit, spam roll or sprint-jump to avoid damage. Jumping is can be more consistent than rolling this attack especially if you are medium rolling. |
Light of Miquella | Radahn levitates and summons a high explosion of light in a wide area. | This attack is easy to predict. Once you see Radahn floating, immediately back up until you're out of the zone covered with light. If you have plenty of flasks left, you may opt to get 2-3 big hits as he levitates upwards and 1-2 when he comes down and tank the AOE. This is especially useful for bleed users to proc blood-loss. |
Triple Sword Swing with Light | Same as the Triple Sword Swing that his old form uses but his sword is engulfed with light. In mid to close range, Radahn chases you with his two swords and swings at you thrice. | Rolling to either left or right thrice can get you to avoid these swings. |
5 Overhand Slashes (Clone Attack) |
This is considered a long-range attack, Radahn leaps through the air and sends what looks like a clone of himself to do a very fast overhand slash toward you. | This is an extremely fast attack, so our aim for a counter is to lessen the damage dealt. The best way of dodging this is to sprint right for the 4 clone slashes and dodge right for the 5th 'non-clone' attack. The timing for each attack is regular so counting "1, 2, 3, 4, dodge" can help. This attack is used as a follow-up to the Rock Sling occasionally so keep an eye on him telegraphing the attack by remaining in the air with his sword up. |
4-Swing Combo |
Radahn will open with an overhead swing, then do two fast right and left swings, and finally and overhead smash followed by an AOE, exactly as he did in Phase 1. This time however, the swings create holy light beams from the ground in the direction that he slashes. He then finishes with an overhead smash and pulls his sword out of the ground creating a very large rolling AOE. | This combo is approached differently depending on your distance. If you are very close range, glue yourself to his body and roll the attacks as you did in phase 1, continuously trying to dodge behind him after every roll. The final attack (AOE) has a slightly more delayed timing than Phase 1. When his swords come down just before the AOE, they will produce a few light beams, this is your cue to roll towards him again. If you are more than a swords length from him, remember that the light beams will go in the direction he swings from. For overhead, the holy light goes directly towards you so dodge to the side. For right and left, they create a horizontal line in front of you so either dodge backwards if you wish to create distance or dodge to the side he swung from if you aim to punish the AOE. The rolling AOE timing is different depending on your distance and cannot be jumped. It is much easier to dodge up close but if you are further away, you can either visually react to it or learn the speed of the rolling AOE to time your dodge. Always dodge towards the epicentre of the AOE to avoid being roll-caught. |
Grab Attack |
Radahn glows with golden light, and jumps at the player. A successful grab will cause Radahn to bring the player close to Miquella, who will place a charm on the player. This grab will not deal damage, but if the player is grabbed again while charmed, they will immediately die. | Wait for Radahn to have almost landed before rolling away. If you are charmed, you can use Miquella’s Great Rune to remove the charmed state. |
Holy Meteor Crash |
Towards the end of phase 2 (~20%) Radahn slams his swords on the ground, before leaping into the air. After a delay, Radahn will fly back into the arena at the speed of light, crashing back to the ground in a glorious explosion. | Sprint to the other side of the arena in the opposite direction he leapt up from. Alternatively, if you are confident enough to punish, you will see a glowing star in the sky and after a few moments hear a shriek. When you hear the shriek, that's your cue to roll. Shortly afterwards, an aftershock explosion will occur. Timing this can be hard but saying "one and two" to yourself at a normal pace and dodging on the "one" and "two" should give you the correct timing. |

after 2 days of failed solo attempts I swallowed my pride and summoned Ansbach and mimic tear. with summons I beat him on the second try with dual colossal bleed weapons since all 3 of us procced bleed. I’ll try again solo next playthrough.

Finally solo'd him after a good 7 hours with a lvl 150 character. I still don't know how to dodge the ghost overhead slams that he does after the meteors fly towards you. That attack seems like a ton of BS to me. The margin of error is so small here that the camera is inexcusable at times, especially with Miquella's hair making it sometimes hard to see what Radahn does when he has his back towards you.
Why the Hippos get a far-cam but he doesn't is beyond me.
- Anonymous
I beat him, base NG, no Golden Scarab. He only dropped 375,000 runes instead of 500,000. For the struggle it took, this fight is terrible.

fromsofts new boss design philosophy: give them a giant aoe you have to run away from for 2 minutes and make it so you cant ****ing see anything because of all the bright particle effect explosions

Legit think they made this boss specifically for you to use summons and the most broken builds out there. Unless your name is Ongbal or if you're not using some turtle greatshield Scarlet Rot poke build I have no idea how the average player is supposed to beat this boss. Even with summons and experimenting with that works best it is still an absurd fight with nothing but visual clutter, my 3090 screams out in pain during the 2nd phase and I legit cannot tell what is happening at any given time due to the amount of holy spam on the screen.
Would have been a 10/10 DLC for me if this boss wasn't complete garbage. They were cooking with the 1st phase but in 2nd phase they threw it all out of the window. What a complete and utter disappointment.

Does anyone know how to avoid the 3 hit combo where he goes swoosh, woosh..., double swoosh? I dodge the first swipe but he catches me with the second swipe everytime. Am i just dodging too early or is this a positioning thing? Almost every enemy in this dlc has an attack that catches me mid rolling and I am starting to lose my mind.

ah yes, the iconic boss from the base game is back with a twist. welcome back Framrate Drops

Small tip: Radan do not recover stance during phase transition. It you deal enough stance damage by the end of phase 1 you can stance break him at the start of the phase 2 when he cast holy nuke and use critical strike iframes to avoid impact.
- Anonymous
I found good success with parrying him with a medium shield w/ Carian Retaliation (gives any shield it's enchanted on ~the same parry timing as a buckler). 100% physical resist medium shield lets you absorb many of his attacks. He takes 3 parries to stagger, but he has several attack chains that aren't too difficult to parry after some practice IME. Many of his attacks in phase 2 have the same timing, so it's useful throughout the fight.
- Anonymous
Has enough hp and defense that even absolutely none optimized bleed infused weapon would either perform the same or outright outperform most elemental damage weapons due to how scadtree shards upgrades work as well (Frost might be as well, but to a lesser degree).

Defeated him on try 230 (yes I counted my attemps) and my conclusion is that the first phase is absolutely goated but second phase is absolutely dogshit, if some of the attacks from phase 2 would just be implanted to phase 1 like his meteor or the light beams during his normal combos, then it would not be such a pain in the ass, but whatever. I bet him an that is all that counts

Prayerful Strike is very good against him. You have enough time to use it after his main combos if dodged correctly. I used a Greathammer with prayerful strike and a greatshield in offhand. Used a summon with the same (Black Knight Commander Andreas, but mimic tear works too). Hit him with scarlet rot and play it safe behind the shield. Heal back with prayerful strike to conserve potions. Very long fight when done like this but you can’t trade with this guy any other way.

I’m sorry but y’all complaining unironically need to get good. Is he hard? Yes! Is he impossible? No! I beat him with a buckler and misericorde. This is the final boss of the dlc, y’all knew going into this that the dlc was going to be harder than the base game. This is the final test, what all those hours and hours and hours of Elden Ring, this is what it all comes down to, beating a god with a toothpick.

My successful NG Faith build:
Black Knife, Erdtree Seal, Black Blade incantation, Heal from Afar, and Shard of Alexander. Other talismans are up to you, I used Dragon Greatshield, Two-Headed Turtle and Carian Filigreed Crest. For the physick I used Opaline Hardtear and Cerulean Hidden Tear; If you have the MP then swapping Cerulean for the Holy-Shrouding tear would help.
Bring your tankiest phys/holy armor and sturdiest shield because flubbing a roll in the second phase will probably get you combo'd to death, it's easier to block the (nearly) unavoidable AoEs. I used Gaius' armor with the Brass shield, but the Black Steel shield is ideal if you can lift it. It's difficult to avoid his magic aoe, but it's much less of a concern than holy.
Don't bring Ansbach or Thollier. Ansbach will probably live through the fight on his own, but he doesn't contribute more than he buffs Roddy's HP and he's terrible at holding aggro. You're better off just summoning Taylew. He's extremely tanky and keeps Roddy in one place for easy spamming. He will not survive long on his own, but Heal from Afar can easily keep him up.
Someone suggested that entering the boss fog from the edges lowers the chance that Roddy will immediately use his lunge. This seems to be the case, so why not. You want to summon Taylew immediately if you can; I used the cerulean hidden tear before entering the fight so I wouldn't have to chug later, but if he lunges you WILL eat it.
Start the fight by casting Black Blade at the first opening. You'll probably get caught afterwards, but in this phase you can still roll out of combos. Immediately switch to Black Knife and hit him with the AoW. The debuffs stack, so he's already down to 80%. Don't bother with Black Blade again, it's only for the one-time debuff.
Now the fun part, do not even try to ever hit him with the knife. It won't do anything and getting into melee is a death sentence. His sweeping attacks will hit both you and Taylew and you're effectively dying twice as fast. Just stay at mid-range and exclusively use the AoW for the rest of the fight.
Taylew should hold aggro for a decent span, when he does spam Blade of Death. When Roddy switches aggro to you, just concentrate on dodging and blocking. Only punish during openings if your HP is topped off, and prioritize healing Taylew anytime he drops to 50%. Note that you also can heal yourself with Heal from Afar if you get close enough, but it's risky. It's worth a shot to top yourself off if you can cast it from behind Roddy, but if you're in his frontal arc he'll probably interrupt you with a stomp AoE.
As a side note, Blade of Death will hyperarmor through Roddy's gravity AoE, sometimes causing him to chain it. Despite the chip damage, this is ideal because it's by far his least damaging attack and you can trade through it. On the other hand, misreading it for his lunge attack will get you slammed, so abuse at your own discretion.

I’ve got his first phase down to where I can almost no hit it now but I just can’t figure out what’s going on in phase 2. It doesn’t even help having full flasks because there’s barely time to heal or I just get killed in one combo.

From made the Elden Beast an easier fight by finally allowing us to use Torrent for it after 2 whole years (even though it really should've been there since day one) so they had to go and come up with something even more dogshit for the Final DLC Boss to compensate, thank you Michael Zaki :)

Definitely need to do this at or near Scadutree lv20. I beat him with my dex build by the skin of my teeth at Scadutree lv16 by maxing out poise and doubling up on Drake talismans (Dragoncrest GS + PDrake +3). Once again, Unsheathe beats everything that ain't made of rocks

I refuse to hide behind a shield and poke him to death, even if it takes days I'm going to kill him with the reduvia daggers and show this dumb boss that I'm better than him

Raptor of the Mists helped a lot in this fight.
Some expamples:
- Holy nuke at start of phase 2. No need to run away, keep close and get few hits on Radahn as he flies up. Use Raptor to avoid the explosion (AoW has quite wide window for activation) and get few more hits.
- A holy beams of light AoE that covers all area around him after he slams both swords into ground after a long combo. You can use AoW to avoid beams and get some good hits in.
- Anonymous
He's weak to Holy Damage, my Quality infused Giant Crusher with 80 Strength and 80 Dexterity does less damage then Sacred infusion with 80 strength and 80 faith and even more with Sacred Blade buff. I am in NG+7.

What especially pisses me off is that I don't even survive enough to learn how to deal with this bs of a boss. Should I dodge right, left? Should I jump, sprint? I die all the same anyway!
I don't really get why the fight needed to be so visually cluttered. Adding trailing effects to attacks in the second phase is pretty standard fare, and the afterimage/clone thing is a neat idea, but it's all so visually busy that it's hard to actually see what's going on, never mind the frame drops all of it causes. I don't think you should be inadvertently obscuring the player's vision with a lot of particle effects and bloom.
This seems so uncharacteristic of FromSoft since they generally have pretty clean designs that are easy to read. Hell, even Armored Core 6 with all its particle effects didn't have this problem. Just seems like an utterly bizarre choice to me.
- Anonymous
Beat him with an Impenetrable Thorns build on ng+ lv 180.
Alberich sets and white mask. Thorns seems to do magic damage so you can throw on some magic boosting things.
Beloved stardust to shorten cast time and dragon shield crest to negate the damage penalty.
2 close-up cast will take him to second phase and just need another 3 or 4 close-up casts to kill him.
Shortened casting time make so much of his combos punishable.

If you're having trouble dodging attacks during the second phase, try dodging into him while favoring a side. His combos are mostly the same, just be mindful of any extra AoE's that he does (I.E.His 4-Swing Combo AoE at the end now extends behind him). The 3-hit combo (where he crosses his swords on the final attack) has a slightly delayed final attack to make room for the AoE in the 2nd swing. This can easily catch you off guard and get you roll caught, which is bad since it's the 3rd hit that does the most damage in that combo. Worst case scenario, just tank the second hit and dodge the third one to avoid taking significant damage. The clone dash attack (the one from the ground) can be strafed pretty consistently, just dodge around the first clone and the rest should fly right past you. The clone slame attack (the one from the air)... I don't know , just hope for the best. If you can see it coming, running away and then dodging the final slam works but it's pretty hard to do that when he pops it unexpectedly. It doesn't do a whole lot of damage, so you can get away with tanking it.
I ran Greatsword with Giant's Hunt, Fire infusion, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and Golden braid for 20% Holy and Physical damage reduction, Shard of Alexander and Fire Scorpion Charm for more damage. (You could run the Spear talisman in place of any of the defensive talismans to hit like 7k per weapon art, but it's super risky and not very consistent.) I'd pop Flame, Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow and drink a Flame-Shrouded Tear + Oil Soaked Tear in my physic flash. (Yes, I oiled myself up for this fight). I was doing almost 5k per Giant's hunt. 2nd phase is just a survive timer and just pray you get attacks that you can easily punish (Gravity Cyclone, 4-Swing Combo, Bloodflame Slash, The Crossed Sword attack, the attack where he sends out 1 clone for a slash and then follows up with another slash, the attack where he flings you into the air and slams you into the ground and whatever that one long combo is, where he spins around a couple times and then explodes while killing your frames). Just be prepared to trade a few hits and don't panic if you get hit. Good luck.

Even with a bleed build, this fight is ridiculous. Unable to dodge all of his attacks with good stamina and enhanced stamina recovery, his ability to warp to attack you even if you’re nowhere near him, and the fact that Thiollier and Ansbach are USELESS at diverting his attacks. Just a slog to fight and doesn’t feel fun at all.
- Anonymous
artificial difficulty. this isn't on the level of malenia at all. feels like a mod for what prime radahn COULD be in the second phase. first phase is great and challenging.
- Anonymous
I really started to like his first phase when I got the parry timing correct and was (almost consistently) dodging his rock sling. I think the fight could be a lot more enjoyable if the pillars of light didn't stagger you. the amount of times I'd roll his first swing only to be nicked by a pillar only to get insta killed by his second swing was so dumb and ridiculous. I hope they tweak him ever so slightly so the holy damage isn't so oppressive
- Anonymous
The worst boss in any Fromsoft game I've ever played. A pretty sour note to end an otherwise good DLC.
- Anonymous
This boss must have played to my strengths, I had a much harder time beating Malenia solo. The performances issues in phase 2 blow and From can't fix that fast enough, but I still really liked this fight.
Strength build, heavy rusty anchor with savage lion's claw. My beloved sword of solitude wasn't doing enough damage and the weapon art was too slow. Golden braid, dragoncrest great, crimson seed+1 and shard of alexander. Health and stamina regen physik, golden vow, FGMS.
1st phase can be tanked somewhat, do a full savage lion's claw when you get an opening and you should only eat a hit or two. If he gravity pulls you in, immediately turn around and run away, jump when he slams and you can completely avoid damage. For the rock throws I ran back and left, jumping before the first rock got to me.
2nd phase I only did the first part of lion's claw. At the beginning he usually did the holy AOE, If you run immediately you can get out of it and cast a buff - I did Lord's divine fortification and it saved my life a few times. Always roll diagonally forward/left towards him and hug him as much as you can, that way you avoid the holy AOE after his attacks, and his best punish windows are after sword attacks. If you need to heal DO NOT RUN AWAY! Continue dodging and heal when you would have otherwise attacked. Running away is death.
Good luck tarnished

Took me 100+ attempts on my lvl 158 build with scadutree blessing level 9 using Rakshasa's Great Katana. I think I might be insane for thinking this but this fight is (mostly) fair, just extreeeemely punishing. phase 2 isn't as bad when you realize that rolling towards them makes sure that you never get hit by any of the holy beams, but you still need to play super conservative. only heal after a combo that you know has enough time for a heal (not all of them do), and limit your punishes to only one or two swings, depending on the move. The only move i couldn't figure out how to dodge was the rocks, it felt like a gamble on whether i could roll them or not, and I'd say 30% of the time i'd get hit.
While I do wish the final fight had just been against Miquella, it was very cool to see what the strongest Demi-God looked like in his prime. I think he's probably my 4th favorite boss in the dlc, and somewhere in the top 30 of their all time bosses.
- Anonymous
I really enjoyed this boss. Insanely difficult, but the challenge matched the spectacle. Standing right up next to him made the light AOE manageable. I do wish that he wasn't resistant to slash and holy dmg, though I get the lore reason for holy resistance.
- Anonymous
Figured out the solution on his bullsht AoE followups in phase 2: you need to literally be hugging this bastard 90% of time. Like, scratching on his hips, literally colliding, and preferably keeping to his left side and trying to get behind as you roll the blade swings. Stay a bit further and you get hit by AoE. Stay even further and he will just spam long range crap and you never get damage in.
- Anonymous
Just beat this *******. Here are some tips:
1) DON'T SUMMON you can get all the NPC armor without having to, they just make him tankier
2) Use a blood infused spear/poky thing and shield poke him, I used the sword lance + fingerprint shield and it worked wonders
3) Don't summon your mimic tear until the start of the second phase, the first phase is easy enough and this leaves you with a fresh one for the second, harder part
4) Dodge his basic sword swings, block all the other BS (if you're using a good shield)

These two are both so hot in different ways. It almost makes you forget how absolutely dead you are!
You should not have offered that threesome. They were not amused.

First phase is fine. Great, even.
Someone here made an epilepsy joke about phase 2. They're not wrong. The AoE spam is genuinely kinda bad game design. Loved everything about the DLC so far. I love Radahn as a character, and the first phase of this fight. But the phase 2... it really is a bit much.
A little depressing, even. It seems the only ways that most people have beaten him were through cheese. That is not good design.
They didn't even really give him a whole lot of gravity attacks, which he is supposed to be the master of. Would've been much neater to see variations of his base game attacks, instead of just... Miquella spamming attacks constantly. I really don't know how to approach phase 2.
It's a bit much, FromSoft. I wish that the second phase had an entirely different design, but... not likely.
- Anonymous
If you dont wanna summon but you cant beat him there is an easy mode. Fingerprint shield + blood infused Antspur rapier. Stamina regen talisman + holy damage negation talisman. Hold the shield and just poke. You will bleed+rot him in both phases and the only challenging part about this strategy is stamina management.
- Anonymous
Ironically, the way that worked the best for me was to parry him to death. Turns how he can't do a endless attack spam if he stops at the first move.
Used a buckler + misericorde +25 with bleed affinity
- Anonymous
The first phase is fine but the second is just absolute horseshit. Even with a maxed Black Steel Greatshield for the holy chip damage and Greatshield Talisman, some of those combos completely my drain stamina at 40 Endurance.
- Anonymous
I am stuck currently on phase 2.
Phase 1 is tricky but easy enough once you lean his moves. Parry is some good option here as well.
Phase 2 however... I have no idea how to damn dodge his combos aside from running away. Roll-dodged his blade - got rollcaught by holy AoE. Double rolled to avoid both blade and AoE - got rollcaught by other blade...
Still figuring out the tactics, but it's really difficult.
Only tip i found is that you need to roll in same direction of the swing - like if he swings from his right to left, then you too must roll to left. Because AoE followup consists of mutliple beams of light that fall one after another, if you roll in oppposite direction you will be rollcaught by his first beams.

here is the full build i used to kill this guy as someone with a skill issue, for those that also have a skill issue:
brass shield with barricade shield AoW in left hand
blood antspur rapier with poisonous mist AoW in right hand
dragoncrest greatshield talisman, golden braid talisman (the one with the holy resist i can't remember what it's called), pearldrake +3 and 2 headed turtle.
heaviest armour you can wear.
consecutive attack and deflecting hardtear in physick
summon ansbach, drink the physick, walk into the arena and let radahn do the gravity spiral attack, when he lands 2 hand the rapier and use poisonous mist where he stands
let ansbach take aggro while you summon your mimic tear.
shield poke while trying to get perfect parries as much as you feel safe doing to keep up your stamina and use barricade shield whenever he aggros onto you so you can tank his hits and keep attacking while (hopefully) not getting guard broken. i won the fight pretty much as soon as i started using poisonous mist because having rot and poison really does melt his health.
good luck tarnished!!!

recommended skill "savage lions claw" yeah recommended if you want to get the brakes beaten off you, i hit him with this skill over a dozen times, didnt come close to poise breaking him

Pls sir Mr Miyazaki sir I'd very much like to hit the boss just once sir
BLOODFIEND'S ARM + LION'S CLAW - this is how i killed final boss of the DLC. Good luck friends.

hands down one of the worst bosses in the game right after malenia
So much visual bullshit that you cant see thought and 15 hit combo where you just sit afk all the time

If you get caught in the gravity pull sprint away from him, jump the first swing and keep sprinting while he does his omnislash bullshit then jump the second swing and keep sprinting
It feels like this boss is one of those bosses that is very tough for heavy weapons with long animations. I had been struggling for quite a bit but ended up beating it with an Uchigatana + Wakizashi combo (although Nagakiba would probably have been better). Big weapons just don't have enough openings and with how hard this boss is to stagger, I really can't recommend using big weapons for this boss.
Some other considerations I made:
- I tried light-rolling for a while, but that just isn't viable. Having higher damage resistance far outweighs the benefits of a light-roll against this boss.
- It may be worth it to trade a few hits in the first phase to reach the second phase with more healing; by which I mean, that you may want to make use of some risky openings in order to start phase 2 earlier.
- I found Morgott's Great Rune & Crimson Seed Talisman +1 >>incredibly<< useful to mitigate the insane damage on some of these combos. Use your Rune Arcs for this boss.
- I saved my Physick for the second phase. You can very reliably use it immediately as the second phase begins and you get control of your character.
- In the second phase, during some of the longer openings (notably the Sword Ground Slam and "Light of Miquella") it is definitely worth it to reapply defensive buffs, since taking damage is nigh unavoidable.
- In phase 2, it is always worth it to use an opening to heal instead of attack, if you have taken damage.
These points are probably not useful if you are #GamerGod but for us mortals, this might help.

Does Miquella ascend to godhood in this fight? Is that why it's mentioned as a god boss in the notes & tips?
For me it's just the Bed of Chaos tier fight. First phase is pretty fair and fun tbh, but the second one feels like needlessly overloaded :(
music is peak, tho <3

I killed him using the DMGS with a greatshield (I really recommend any 100% block shield for this fight). Spamming the art and with the mimic tear +10. It was more challenging than Malenia for me, specially the consort phase, those tp and fake attacks reminded me to the last boss of Lies of P

if you have the spell slots available and the int to cast it, you can completely dodge his meteor summon attack with Rellana's twin moons, they just disappear when they touch you...now to find out how to dodge his other 20 attacks that fill the area and we'll be good to go

For those who may be struggling, or unable to use lightning (even then, i was doing more damage with it). Holy may be the best bet to go, i was accidentally using an unupgraded seal and multilayered ring of light was still chunking through him.
He does seem weakest to holy and lightning overall, bit it definetly seems holy beats out lightning outside of perfumes, it definetly beats fire damage, which he seems to resist the most next to magic.

The bosses in this dlc have a lot of "after hits or after hit effects" it looks flashy and cool but is really annoying that you have to consider dodging the whatever comes after the actual attack, this makes attack windows very tight and prolongs the fight, making it miserable. This is the pinnacle of said design... and waiiit a brother with a big sword that can teleport and a younger bro on his shoulders who cast magic... Seem familiar ahead.

Slave knight gael pull off the same bs this fight does at a lower speed and without messing up fps and ppl call it the best boss.

The NG+ health values are completely off in the description, I'm in NG+6 and in my experience he has far more hp than 64k, in fact it's basically the damage I need to do just to get to P2, meaning he has 160k hp total if 64 is 40% of it, but since he heals to 75% for P2 you can add a nice 24k extre hp on top, oh and he two shots no matter what you wear.
I've been fighting him for two hours and I can get consistently to P2 but after that as a caster it's just impossible, I get punished into oblivion for casting pretty much anything even with a speed casting talisman.

On second phase my fps drops to 40, i guess that a 4090 isn't enough for this game

I can't find anyone or anything mentioning it.
Why the **** did I get 2 Radahn when entering phase 2 ? Is this even part of his design, or a damned bug ? What is wrong with this boss ?

Didn't get the DLC, currently not planning to, barely know anything about it - the discourse I've seen about this guy isn't like anything I've seen in another FROM game. Even with Midir, I remember people saying he was hard as hell, but not impossible. If fighting Malenia was an absolute chore, and the mandatory final boss of a $50 expansion is harder than her if you don't have the right build, I'm dreading the next title Miyazaki puts his signature on.

Just a note - he definitely resists fire, and he definitely does NOT resist holy.

The issue I see with both this boss and Messmer is that both bosses just regular swings with their weapons sometimes look dreadfully similar and yet can vary wildly in terms of speed. Dodging too early or too soon happens all the time. Pretty difficult
In p2 I feel blinded by so much holy light that I can't see what he's about to do. That's also something I experienced in the Midra boss (that one isn't difficult though) where he explodes the room at 70% and then sometimes he'll leap at you right from the explosion and you just can't see it coming. Maybe it's just my crappy monitor.

In Bloodflame Slash, even if you parry the slash (not the poke), the bloodflame trail is left behind and explodes, despite him not actually slashing

Can't wait for Shadow of the Erdtree: Scholar of the first sin to make this fight not run like total **** on the hardware it was literally designed to run well on

This is the start of Fromsoft's downfall. This will set the precedent for the future games. No more tightly designed movesets. Just spam a million AoEs and projectiles.
Goooooooood lord the amount of horrendous AOE and endless attack spam. This isn't just a "find an opening, play it smart" this is an utter horseshit type build for a boss. All flashy cool looking moves, that harm performance and make timing difficult.

This boss is what happens when game designers dont have anymore ideas. Just make it big, moves fast, teleport, fly, and put fast successive AOE everywhere. That way even if the player dodge the sword attacks, he cant dodge that gravity and light **** all around the boss.
He's weak to Holy Damage. I was in NG+7 when i beat him and Sacred infusion did more damage than Quality infusion on my Giant Crusher and Sacred Blade added even more damage.
