Perfumer's Ruins Walkthrough
This guide assumes you're entering the ruins from the east, which is where you'll likely come from. Recommended to prepare poison curing items or to be sure you can handle poison. When approaching, you will likely be attacked by Perfumer enemies. They are easy to beat and there are 3 of them in the ruins. They throw explosive bottles at you. In the ruins, there are yellow Poison Flower pretty much everywhere. It can be a good idea to clear them to make sure you have safe terrain to fight the more dangerous enemies.
In the middle of the ruins is an open place with a table, guarded by an Omenkiller (strong enemy using two big weapons). The Omenkiller Set can be looted in this location as wellYou can sneak behind him and stealth attack him. He's pretty dangerous and has a fire breathing attack. Once killed, you can safely loot the Perfume Bottle on the floor near the table, and the Perfumer's Cookbook in the chest.
In another room near the back of the ruins is a yellow Giant Poison Flower. It will easily poison you. Killing it will reveal a passage behind it to find a tiny room with a Nascent Butterfly crafting item. There is another perfume bottle on the ground here and stairs going down to a door, inside of which is a chest containing Perfumer's Talisman.
There is nothing else to do in these ruins, but just south-west/below them are the Unsightly Catacombs locked by an imp statue.

I came here and I cannot find the omen killer for the life of me. I found the underground room under the big flower but no omen killer.

Hoarfrost stomp is exceptionally good for killing the miranda flowers before they can release their poison pollen into the air. Here at perfumers ruins but also on the Haligtree and Caelid. It kills them a lot faster than fire arrows ever will. The AoE kills multiple flowers in one cast, its top tier for killing the mirandas, the omenkiller and both perfumers didn't like it much either.

In an earlier patch, the chest here used to be the old model from Dark Souls. I even attacked it a few times to make sure it wasn't a mimic. Scared the crap out of me, especially after not-Capra Demon beat my ass

If you follow Cactus Cat God Route you will find the holy grail

Am I supremely blind or is the chest containing the talisman hidden?
The guide suggests that I should find some stairs once killing the flower, but I see nothing of the sort...
Got everything else here.
Also there is a corpse holding rune(5) x 1 hidden behind some bushes on the southern wall facing the statue that points toward the catacombs

I could hear a distinctive growling sound coming from the east-facing wall of the basement, wonder if there’s a secret passage but looks like no-one’s found anything?

The above ground chest with the cookbook is in 1.03 still a Dark Souls chest. They changed the Road's End Catacombs chest in 1.03, so all Dark Souls chests are probably forgotten placeholder chests.

I got Omenkiller Robe, Long Gloves and Boots from the Omenkiller here.
