Flame Chariots is an Enemy in Elden Ring. Flame Chariots are large, tank-like wagons that burn their targets while operated from the inside. They are built to look like a Fire Giant’s face. It is operated by a driver, located at the back of the vehicle.
Beware the Fire Monks' chariots bearing the faces of giants.

Flame Chariots Notes & Tips
- A plunge attack instantly kills the Flame Chariots, followed by an explosion that damages nearby enemies
- There are two variants. The first has only one cannon, and the another has three cannons and two extra flame vents on the side.
- The driver, found at the back, can be backstabbed. It takes significantly more damage than the rest of the entity.
This can be easily exploited by using Discus of Light's returning property. - Like the Visage Shield, Flame Chariots are modelled after the face of a Fire Giant.
- There are some Flame Chariots that accompany and fight alongside Raya Lucaria Soldiers.

Once you get good at doing the plunge attack KO on these, these are a great farming option for Smithing Stone [3] in Caelem Ruins. They seem to have a roughly 10-20% drop rate, far better than anything else prior to entering Liurnia. They also drop 1958 or so runes each kill. Obviously there are better rune farms in the game by this point but none of the good rune farms up until this point also give smithing stones.

The way their eyes track you and are always staring right at you is so creepy and uncanny, that is offset by the ridiculous way these medieval Flame Tanks somehow pull off multitrack drifting techniques even though they only have a pair of wooden wheels.

Rune farm early game: acquire Torrent, go to caelem ruins in caelid, get on top of the walls and crit them for instant kill. Remember gamers, the crit spot is above the crown of spikes

I tried luring one of the giant dogs to fight the knights. This thing literally began to drive away while their buddies were getting mauled.
Sorcery users, Ambush Shard works pretty well against Flame Chariots. For non-sorcery users, a couple backstabs should do the trick.

I find these so goofy, the little commoner dudes doing drifting techniques and sticking out the back of the chariot.

The driver doesn't actually have a recovery animation after backstabbing, so you can wail on them immediately after.
Just want people to know the ones is Caelid Drop Smithing Stone (3). The Drop rate seems pretty decent which makes sense since there tend to be only one or two in an area.

You can turn the driver asleep even though the sleep wiki page claims it is immune

Note: aim for back of head when trying plunging attack (R1 not R2), and don’t attack til just about to hit head. Also, use a Pierce damage-type weapon; not sure if it is mandatory, but it makes it much easier to hit for some reason.
Such an amazing opportunity missed... how fun would it be to knock the guy out the back and take this thing for a spin?! modders! you know what to do!

Love how these things can turn and swing around like nothing on two wheels despite not having a steerable axle and probably weighing a ton... it puts IRL forklifts to shame.

First time killing it near the small Caelid fort dropped Smoldering Butterfly (x5) and Fire Blossom (x3)

Anybody ever try to farm these guys? I've killed like 50 of them and after the first kill they've only dropped smithing stone 5. No more Smoldering Butterflies or Fire Blossoms. Could be chance I guess.

Has anyone else tried to farm these? Seems the Smoldering Butterflies and the Fire Blossoms only drop the first time they're killed. After that all I've gotten are smithing stones of various levels depending on location. Can anyone else confirm?

There are different variants (at least 2) of this. One has additional tongues protruding left and right enabling a spinning attack. on the rear side of fort gael is one version respectively

They seem to react to sound, so you can shoot the wall of the castle and they will turn around giving you a chance to attack the operator
If you're gonna do a plunging attack then simply attack the moment before you land.

Don't jump at this to backstab in Caelid. It can trigger the kill but is almost impossible. Just push normal attack as you fall off the rock.

according to the notes in game they are called Flame Chariots. Suggests plunging attack to top of chimney.
