Elden Beast is a Boss in Elden Ring. Elden Beast is the true form of the Elden Ring, acting as the vassal of the Greater Will, and is found in the Elden Throne. This boss is NOT optional, as it is the final fight of the game, appearing immediately upon defeating Radagon of the Golden Order.
It is said that long ago, the Greater Will sent a golden star bearing a beast into the Lands Between, which would later become the Elden Ring.
It was the vassal beast of the Greater Will and the living incarnation of the concept of Order.

Absorptions
- Phy (Standard): 10
- Phy (Slash): 10

- Phy (Pierce): 10
The absorption numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if an absorption is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% is absorbed. Bigger number = less damage. An absorption of 100 means no damage goes through, and a resistance of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
Poison: Immune
Scarlet Rot: Immune
Hemorrhage: Immune
Frostbite: Immune
Sleep: Immune
Madness: Immune
Death Blight: Immune
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of whatever aux buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs.

Elden Beast Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Elden Beast:
- Use the Mimic Tear Ash summons.
- If your build is Arcane-focused, the Occult enhancement gives you excellent physical damage in lieu of ailments which cannot affect this boss.
- Use Lord's Divine Fortification to greatly reduce the damage of Elden Beast's many holy attacks. Alternatively, Divine Fortification, Haligdrake Talisman (+2, does stack with spells) or Holyproof Dried Liver (as 1.04, it does not stack with spells) help to a lesser degree.
- Use the Green Turtle Talisman to increase stamina regeneration so you can get more attacks in after chasing down Elden Beast.
- At the beginning of the fight, run behind the beast, because it usually starts by breathing fire. This will avoid the attack and give you an opportunity to deal damage.
- Elden Beast is extremely resistant to holy and moderately resistant to other elements, so stick to physical damage if possible.
- Avoid using the locking on feature when Elden Beast is close to you, this can screw up your attacks.
- When the Elden Beast jumps into the air, disengage the lock-on and watch for the rings. Jump over instead of rolling through them.
- It is preferred to, if possible, to do this fight solo. If you must summon a player, it is recommended to only have 1 other as more than 1 will increase the difficulty as the boss gains more HP.
- The charged up Black Flame Tornado skill and the incantation Pest Threads (at close range) can deal a large amount of damage to the boss.
- If timed correctly the Elden Beast can be staggered before casting elden stars, preventing the boss from using the first guaranteed cast. This can be done by stacking stance damage against the Elden Beast before it reaches half health and repeatedly using a high stance damage weapon or weapon art when it attempts to cast. Colossal Weapons and some weapon arts such as Flame of the Redmanes and Square Off deal high stance damage.
Melee Users
Right when entering the arena, there will be a few seconds of time to run towards Elden Beast before it initiates any form of attacks. The first attack (Most if not all the time) is a yellow fire breath attack, to avoid this, as stated to the right (Yellow Fire Breath), run behind it and strike from behind, you should be able to get a few hits in before it decides to move or change attacks. From there, attack patterns are random and will vary, refer to the right table for how to counter certain attacks. With the new 1.04.1 patch, all of Elden beast attacks seem more frequent and back to normal, will require confirmation.
At around 70%-80% HP (May vary), Elden beast will swim away and fly into the air, a ring will then appear around you that closes in, run and then jump over this ring, continue to run as there will be a blast after the ring closes. This ring attack (named Elden Ring Blast on the right side panel) will happen again when Elden Beast is around 30%-40% HP (May vary), instead of 1 ring it will be 3, followed by a blast. These 2 attacks will always happen, unless glitches are used or you somehow manage to kill Elden Beast extremely quickly, for the average player, these 2 attacks will always happen. Seems with the new patch (1.04) that this is not the case anymore, these attacks will vary in occurrence, but how to avoid is still the same. This may change because of the 1.04.1 update that supposedly fixed it's attacks/attack patterns, testing will occur and the page will be updated accordingly.
If dodged successfully, after most attacks/combos, there will be a window of opportunity to attack Elden Beast as it “stands” still for a few seconds, make sure to get every second out of this window of time before it begins another attack/combo.
Most Elden Beast attacks can be rolled with relative ease after a few runs before hand, meaning you may be able to conserve healing flasks if you are adamant in your ability to roll it’s attacks, if you aren’t it's recommended to be at or near (80%+) full HP. (This can really only be applied to players who’s HP surpasses 1200-1400 HP)
As shown above, Elden Beast is immune to all Status Effects, meaning if you use a weapon that outputs most of its damage through a weapon skill that inflicts a Status Effect, that weapon is ill-advised to use in this fight (Not impossible to use, but you may find it easier to use high Physical damage weapons). Recommended weapons would be high Physical Damaging weapons, such as Greatswords and Colossal Swords, but are not limited to such weapons.
Recommended Talismans would be any that boost Physical and Holy damage negation, such as the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and or Heligdrake +2 talisman. Other useful talismans that are advised to use are Crimson Seed Talisman, Green Turtle Talisman, Winged Sword Insignia, Erdtree's Favor +2, and more. Great Runes can and should be used; Godrick’s and Radahn’s are useful if not recommended. Morgott's Great Rune can be generally beneficial but may lead to the player needing up to three +12 Crimson Flask charges to fully heal.
Recommended Crystal Tears for your physick are Tears that raise Physical damage negation, restore HP, boost stamina recovery, or increase attack damage. Of course, these can and will depend on your build, stats, skills, and preference.
Magic and Ranged Users
For incantation users, Pest Threads (at close range) deals heavy damage to large targets such as the beast. Also, Elden Beast has relatively low resistance to physical damage.
For sorcery users, a viable option is to use Rock Sling (Meteorite of Astel/Meteorite can be useful only at the beginning of the fight) - not only in deals Physical-type damage, but it can poise break him. Beast remains stunned for a while, what can create an opportunity to drink Flask of Wondrous Physick with Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Cerulean Hidden Tear - a mix perfect for Comet Azur (as long as there is no Elden Star nearby, dealing high damage to a standing target)
Elden Beast Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Hand Slam | Slams its left hand into the ground. | Simply roll to the left side. |
Golden Breath | Spews out yellow fire, which spreads in a wide area. | Stand behind it. Melee users should quickly unlock target lock to avoid camera flail as he stands up and prepares to spew, then re-lock once he finishes. |
Sword Swing | Backs a short distance away and swings its sword.
Swimming Sword Swing | Swims away before returning with a large sword swing.
Black Hole Teleport | Quickly swims into a black hole, which teleports it away before exploding. | When you see the cloud run directly away from it. |
Nebula | Its hand starts glowing and it swipes in a forward arc, leaving behind a cloud of glittering magic that explodes. | Run to the sides. |
Divine Punishment | The beast’s left hand will begin shining gold, and it will attempt to grab the player. If successful, they will be lifted up as if they were crucified, where they will be pierced with several golden spears before being let go. | Dodge or run to the left side. |
Elden Blast | Swims away and begins levitating in the air, forming the symbol of the Elden Ring in the sky. A large ring will begin converging on the target’s position, before ending in a large explosion. | Run outside of the outer ring, rolling through the enclosing inner circle. On the <50% HP version, running jump 3 times, over each enclosing ring, and then jump one more time to leave the blast radius. The 3-ring version has a more complex symbol in the sky when the Beast floats upward. |
Golden Wing Spears |
Shoots many magical spears from its wings, which chase after the player before crashing into the ground. | Run in small circles or pick a direction and keep running. |
Flying Flame Sword | Flies through the air shortly before its sword catches on fire, after which it crashes into the ground and swings. | Dodge by rolling forward into the attack. |
Elden Stars | Sends out a gold projectile that continuously chases its target while spawning smaller homing projectiles that chip away at their health before exploding. | Sprint away from Stars, once it gets close, roll back through the stars and sprint the other way. During this time you will also need to worry about other mechanics.
Running away from the attack for 5 seconds and then using the Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear physick can nullify the attack. |
Flying Elden Stars | Dives into the ground and comes out flying, doing the Chasing Stars attack as it flies. | Same strategy as above. |
Sword Swing-Smash | Swings its sword twice before grabbing the blade and smashing it into the ground.
Divebomb | Flops on its belly, flies for a short bit, then crashes into the ground.
Nebula (Line) | Shoots out a long row of clouds that looks like a galaxy, which then explode one after the other. | At <50% health, he can combine this with other attacks like Flaming Sword Beams, which will be hidden by the cloud. Make sure you always have a clear line of sight on him during this attack. |
Flying Sword Crescents | Its sword catches on fire and it swings forward 4 times, sending a crescent of magic with each swing. The last two swings will be delayed. (The last crescent can diverge and hit your cooperator/Ash summon) | Doge roll into the Blast. Blocking without a Holy and physical defense shield will hurt. The first two shots are right after each other, so roll and then roll again right away. |
Flaming Stab | Sets its sword on fire and stabs the ground, creating an explosion when it pulls the sword out again. | Run away to avoid the incoming explosion. |
Spin Swing | Spins in a circle and swings its sword. | Dodge through the move and attack it. |
Flaming Sword Combo | Sets its sword on fire and alternates between rapid swings and downward stabs before doing a large, angular spin-swing.
Wave of Gold | Charges sword, swings and puts a large amount of damage in the shape of a cone at the player. If caught in the cone, the closer to the tip you are the more damage you take. | This attack seems to do multiple chunks of damage, from what I can tell the front of the cone will 1 hit 60 vigor. The only success I've had is dodging half of the damage rolling right as it explodes and being out of the front of the cone more towards the middle. |
Dive | Dives into the ground and reappears a short distance away. | Chase it down. |
Elden Beast Lore, Notes & Other Trivia
- Elden Beast is the vassal beast of the Greater Will.
- If 2 or more players are hit by grab attack, none will receive damage (requires further testing).
- Seems to have been nerfed in Patch 1.04 (NG cycle variation only)

On NG+ I used this setup, and worked like a breeze:
50Vig, 50Dex and 50Arc, around 30End was ok. The rest the minimum for using each item.
Hand of Malenia+10 powerstancing with Occult Uchigatana+25.
The armor I blended the Bull Goat with the other pieces from the best holy dmg ngtn equipments that allowed me to mid roll.
Stamina regen and combo boost tears. Exalted flesh, green Turtle neck.
Green Turtle Talisman, Rotten Insignia, Shard of Alexander and holy dmg negation talisman

It’s very, very likely that Torrent was intended to be used for this fight, but due to Torrent being locked with summons, the idea was scrapped entirely.
You can see with many of EB’s breath moves that they are incredibly similar to over dragon boss breath attacks, and EB’s sheer size also makes me think that horseback was the original intention.

First, the score is coolest ever. Period.
Second, the key in this fight is sacred protection. Especially Lord's Divine, if you can't use it then the best you have. He will let you breathe a lot so keep always protected. Try to have some good range attack to use when you can't get close, for me the Gransax spear shot worked well. Use its sword combos to get close, including the four "wave-shots" combo that you can dodge to the front.

Loved this fight, music, how it looks, very fun fight to do multiplayer as well - don't get all the hate here

Should have shattered into a trillion pieces of glas if it dies. In the most physical realistic animation until the FPS scream in agony.

It's likely been said before but it's worth repeating : black flame wrecks this boss. It's great against bosses in general, but given how tanky the Elden Beast is, the % based DoT is just absurd. A couple uncharged fireballs at medium range and at the right moment (after dodging his sword attacks for example) will take you a long way.
- Anonymous
It took me about 50 tries with different maxed out weapons and summons but the godskin peeler and black knife tiche was what finally got the job done, use black flame tornado when u get behind him and get enough time. When he starts the ring attack where he floats in circles in the air run the opposite direction of the beast, jump the ring(s) and keep running he will pop back up very close to where u end up

Magic strategy section is trash. All you have to do is spam the Wind of Astel WA and it will stunlock him until he dies

You know a boss is stupid when the first advice on how to beat it says "Use Mimic Tear".
Honestly would have taken Godfrey or Radagon as final boss over this jellyfish anytime, those two were fun fights, this was one was just an annoyance running after it whenever it felt like diving across the entire map.
- Anonymous
How this boss was approved for the game is beyond me… especially for a final boss. How is this the same company that made Gwyn, Gehrman, Isshin, and Soul of Cinder?
Comet Azur deals good dmg on him? Doing the NG+, and while the Radagon fight felt good, challenging and fair, this boss isn't the ending the game deserved. His retreat should be limited to once or twice per fight, or at least have a 45s cooldown. You simply can't have most buffs last long enough for a light combo.

Elden b*tch most broken boss. I have proof. Player can walk on water but this b*itch dives and flies on a football field. Plus i was cheated on his sword. Look at how huge is sword is reaching 1/4 of the map but whn i get it it only bout 3 ft. Wtf?

I see it's learning from every mage player, ie. run away and spam projectiles.

Last boss ? Cheese and running… and it’s super corny looking. What a let down for an otherwise terrific game.

for sorcery, blast it if you can just at the start of 2nd phase asap. Take the burn or whatever beast does, the damage done worths it
If you have high int, it does like 40-50 % damage of its health. Just mix the sorcerer stuff in your FOWP and drink right after 1st phase ends. Shoot the comet then continue with loretta's mastery from a fair distance with mimic. Key poin is not charging the loretta's mastery. Just tap once to spell and shoot it asap. I did like 1k per shot and it has ver long range

Hey all. I’m the one with the one shot Elden Beast/Radagon Journey 3 video. You should add “Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike” as an effective method!

For some reason, I do much more damage to it, when I have the Erdtree's Blessing active. I fought with blood Star Fists and especially the jump attacks caused great damage.

Do not summon. Health of the bosses will be much higher.
Use mimic tear, because Tiche heals Radagon and Beast with some of her hits.
Use Rannis Dark Moon for Radagon - always two casts if Mimic has aggro, then evade until Mimic has aggro again.
Use Pest threads as often as possible when close to Beast.
40 Faith / 80 Int / 45 Vigor reasonable seal and staff - nothing more needed - Five minute fight.

I just one shot him, Journey 3 patch 1.05 26.4K health pool. Level 150. Lightning.

Idk what everybody’s problem with this boss is. It took me, what… 3 tries?
I mean yeah the projectiles are annoying but it’s all avoidable. It’s thematically gorgeous in its arena and it’s spells are awesome.
It’s not my favorite boss, I think the dragon lord/Maliketh are my favorites, but overall I thought it was a nice cinematic ending to a much broader audience.
From tried something new and personally I think it paid out for them.

Haha let’s make status effects do the most damage so players rely on them and then make the final boss immune to almost all of them
- Anonymous
This boss is a shxt head. Spams overly tracking or arena wide attacks that can wipe whole hp bars in one go. Dark souls felt fair in everything it did. Elden beast feels cheap. 180hrs, lvl 210 and still on playthrough 1. Going by Internet posts he's been patched up to be more difficult and can only have 1 extra player to co-op. Release day players had it easy

Best fromsoft game, by far worst final boss
The fight is an absolute ****ing running simulator, it has a boner for running away، and is crazy powerfull at range, almost feels like it was supposed to be a horse fight but people changed minds at the last second.
He can overlap moves to an absolute **** show, you can't dodge his slash projectiles by running, you can't dodge his spears rain by rolling, make your choice which one to tank, both can one shot you BTW
If elden stars get behind your character they make so many sparks you are practically blind. Like how the **** is this still a thing so many months after release?
Against big targets camera is always a big problem, he is attacking you with the sword, you can't even see the sword, let alone properly dodge it. Yet fromsoft decided to make something big as the final boss.
Yes, I have probably been tilted by previous fromsoft bosses before as well, but I have beaten him and I am still well certain his fight is an absolute **** show.

what a disapointing end to the game, radagon was much more iconic and fun

For those that have trouble with Elden Stars, is to use Thop's Barrier (Sorcery). Hold that activation trigger down for continuous use. It is THE only way to deflect Elden Stars.

Shard spiral is super effective against the elden beast. I took almost half of the elden beast’s life on journey 3 by running to it in the beginning of the fight and spamming shard spiral,

With a +10 Fallingstar Jaw and the jar shard, you can stunlock the beast at around 6 casts of it's AoW, and don't go in for a critical unless you have a critical buff or something just keep casting it from a distance. I had +10 Rolo as a summon from the beginning of the fight and he helped draw agro. I died a couple of times trying this, but as long as Rolo survives to the second phase you're pretty much golden! You could use mimic sure but that's just cliche at this point as there's at least three other equally good summons imo
- Anonymous
I actually had more of a problem with this two part boss fight than Malenia. Radagon will obliterate your summons before you even hit phase two, that was the real test of what would work. Greatshielders, mausoleum soilders... even redmane knight ogha, nope. Tiche did the best, and I almost killed them both with her. Love ROB? Not so much for this fight, I couldn't make it work with even Tiche or the mimic but it was closest on Tiche. I finally won with the mimic, and believe it or not, black flame tornado on the godskin peeler. It ATE both of them. I'm so glad I built dex, I can use katanas and the godskin weapons that have those great weapon arts. Hope this helps someone finish this last battle!

Visually the best souls final boss so far. Mechanically… Still somehow less boring than Gwyn and Nashandra
I used Lion Greatbow with Radahn arrows because of its far range. The only approach when I didn't feel like an idiot running after the boss all the time.

I don't think this fight is possible without iframes without having a 1shot build.

The worst final boss ever in a souls game probably, it feels like it totally depends on RNG, you can melt it, or it can overlap 3 attack simultaneously and become a nightmare, the continues teleport doesnt help... a real shame since the Radagon fight is top notch IMO...
- Anonymous
My biggest issue with this guy is that he’s only mentioned *once* in the game outside of the fight. I wish there was more buildup
Also, I’d prefer if Elden Beast was the first phase, then he turns into Radagon in the second phase, then in a cutscene, Radagon’s corpse turns into Marika where you then get an ending
- Anonymous
So Moon Presence with tons more health AND you need to kill Gehrman all over again every time you die. Fun.
Seriously, they've done these double bosses before, and in those you had checkpoints between the bosses. Thone duo then Nashandra (then Aldia if you did the DLC), Gehrman then Moon Presence. I wouldn't complain if the Elden Beast wasn't attached to Radagon's fight, if after you killed Radagon you have a grace and stuff to breath and think "oh I beat the game!" Then this thing popped up any shocked you.

While I loved the Radagon and Elden beast boss fight for a while, the extra length made other Godfrey feel like a short fight-
Elden beast could be so much tougher
He is totally wasting his time swinging that sword around. The magic attacks are cool. But there are differently different things he could do to make his attacks more interesting.
Radagon is also pretty easy once you play him a few times, but he does have the capacity to get you eating damage with the wrong series of rolls. And with summons his aoes can give players a beating.
Anyway, I don’t like the hating. But I do look forward to advancing the movesets of bosses for future games
It's funny to me that I beat the final boss with damage from a starter weapon (longbow) and arrows that you can buy from the first merchant.
I did have the Rain of Arrows on it which is moderately hard to get

If you’re having trouble with him being too far away and you have to run after him, try a stamina regen buff.
Also, pay attention to how he moves. Often you can catch up to him in the middle of his attack, and have enough time to give him multiple attacks before he moves.
When he does the circle attacks, reverse your direction from looking at him to looking the opposite way, and run that way. You will be very close to him when he surfaces.
(And I think slightly to the right of exactly opposite to him? Not sure)
Getting good with the camera control on the right stick is common practice if you want to hold your own as well, if you’re having trouble taking on the boss without relying on summons. You can use the claw grip or get 4 paddles for your control

He does Elden stats after reaching half health. You can see he’s about to do it because he’s brandishing his sword.
So when he gets close to half health, make sure you’re in front of his body. Because if you’re in front when Elden stars starts, and then run behind him, Elden stars will come out at a slow pace

Anyway to deal with the stab, stab move in close range? Like dodge towards left or right? Or best to run away when you see the opening?

From Software dropped the ball on the endgame bosses, and both Radagon and Elden Beast are the height of this incredibly bad design. Frequent teleportation, shockwave attacks, constant fleeing and ranged attacks. They should have thrown some tiny enemies in the mix to put a cherry on top of this **** sundae. All my love for the game dissolves as soon as Morgott dies.

Design is cool, attacks are badass, but it teleporting away every 10 seconds makes this a horrid boss for a melee build. If you aren’t running any magic, take the Jar Cannon with you and use it when the Beast is at range.

Easily the best looking boss in the game visually, arena is gorgeous, and it really feels like the climax to the games story.
That being said, making a boss who’s arena is massive only ever run is horrible game design. Paired with multiple abilities that will 1 shot you no matter the vigor, resistance, even iframes are useless against 9/10 of this bosses attacks. Enjoy spending literally the entire fight running across the arena only to miss your only opportunity to get a single hit in because by the time you get close enough to attack this ****ing thing runs away again. FS really messed up a lot of their boss AI and even after the 1.04 fix this boss is still just cancer on this game.
Stop with the 1 shot mechanics, stop with the lack of torrent in big arenas, and for the love of god stop with the flee spam for bosses. 1/10 its only saving grace is the visuals, otherwise Soldier of Godrick is a better boss in every way imaginable.

I actually think this boss is pretty friggin' cool. I love the spectacle, the beauty of the arena, the otherworldly design of the Beast, and the ethereal music. I don't even mind its' attacks too much...except for Elden Stars; that move can rot in Caelid for all I care.
For me, the big problem with this boss is how he runs away for 3/4ths of the fight. One fix that everyone brings up is making Torrent summonable, and I 100% agree. With everything you and your faithful steed have been through, this fight would be a perfect way to test your mounted combat skills.
But even if you decided to forgo using Torrent, I feel the fight could still work. All Fromsoft would have to do is make it so the Beast doesn't swim too far away. Just keep it within decent walking distance at all times during the fight. Far enough away so you can observe and react to its moves, but not so far that you use up an entire stamina bar just for it to swim away again.
Also...I dunno how, but fix the Elden Stars attack in some fashion. How you're supposed to consistently deal with that in tandem with its other attacks without a Crimsonwhorl Tear is beyond me.
- Anonymous
If u have faith build just use pest threads on elden beast while standing close/on the side of it because there will be multiple hotboxes then and I'll take like 20% of it's HP per cast. On radagon just use blasphemous blade and he will be easy as well.
- Anonymous
They really should have made this boss more of a cinematic fight like (Regal) Ancestral Spirit - a boss that's not really hard, but is more about presentation and atmosphere. The arena is really cool, I personally like most of the boss design (don't like the feet or hands, would have been cool if the sword was part of the tail or something), and the OST is quite solid! But Elden Beast itself has a lot of things that combined make it an unfun fight: it has a lot of HP, it runs a lot, it's immune to all status, it has a lot of AoE and can do a lot of damage, and the camera is not great. Those things not only really hurt this fight but also hurt Radagon's too since you keep having to fight them just to get a shot at EB.
- Anonymous
Took me a bit to figure it out on NG+ solo/no summon, but here is something that absolutely worked for me. The Pest Thread incantation does indeed absolutely destroy Elden Beast, therefore I ended up with a high 80+ FAITH build (I was at 77 VIG, 43 MIND, 27 END, 14 STR, 15 DEX, 9 INT, 85 FAI, 7 ARC).
Radagon: equip a Flame Arc Uchigatana +25 -- the Unseathe Ash of War will do a ton of damage on Radagon once you get his moves down; you should only waste one chug of your Crimson flask here. Equip a Haligdrake Talisman +2, Pearldrake Talisman +2, Crimson Seed +2, and maximize the skill damage with Shard of Alexander. Before the fight: cast Flame Grant me Strength and Lord's Divine Fortification or Divine Fortification, pop a Holyproof Dried Liver, a Boiled Crab, and a Starlight Shard to refill FP gradually for the skill. Play aggressively.
Elden Beast: as soon as Radagon is gone, pop a Rune Arc for max health (provided you equipped Morgott's Great Rune), and pop a Starlight Shard. As the fight begins, run behind Elden Beast while it breathes fire and quickly switch Shard of Alexander with Flock's Canvas talisman to maximize Pest Thread damage. Cast Lord's Divine Fortification and try to find an opportunity to pop a Holyproof Dried Liver and Boiled Crab. Run around as usual, trying to get close to the beast and cast Pest Thead for *a massive* amount of damage. This shouldn't take too long. My flask allocation was 13/1.
Pest Thread worked for Placidussax as well.

Honestly, I can't actually figure out what's supposed to be happening on screen for this fight.
I just want it to end.....

I personally, on attempt 2 million, found elden beast to be barely but emotionally, beat by having tiche and using rotten breath and a weapon with bloodhounds step

Plexiglass here is playing like a ds3 PVPer, the second he starts losing he runs away and spams everything he has. I should know, I'm a DS3 PVPer.

Is it just me or does he grab like the way Gravelord Nito does

didn't realize just how good the lord's divine fortification incantation was (gives you like 68% holy damage negation) and when I finally decided to use it it actually almost trivialized his attacks and made this fight so much more doable I can't believe I actually beat him
Why does this boss need to be so ****ed, like for Gods Sake its one of if not the most beaauutifull arenas in probably any Fromsoft Game i have played and the Boss itself also looks so goddamn cool. Even the theme is stunning. But then after all that you have to spend like 2/3s of the fight running after a fatass snail who ate to many goddamn glowsticks for Breakfast

he wouldve won if instead of his weak wannable sword he used a PKCS like a true pro

Is the Elden Beast literally Radagon? Radagon is titled "of the Golden Order", and uses incredibly powerful incantations just like the Elden Beast. Radagon is also said to have attempted to repair the Elden Ring after Marika shattered it. As we know, the Elden Ring is literally inside of Marika and what makes her a god, and her body is seen broken when we enter the Erdtree. After she shatters the Elden Ring, perhaps the Elden Beast took over her and assumed its form of Radagon, and tried to right her wrong to no avail. And so she is instead imprisoned in the tree by something she literally can't escape, because the Elden Beast is in her, and can presumably make her shift to Radagon at will and then imprison itself with no resistance.
Another thing I think of is Priest Turtle and the Raya Lucaria Academy. Miriel comments that Radagon went forth and married Rennala, head of the Academy, to quell the war between the Order and the Academy, who allowed the Cuckoo Knights to engage war as they pleased with whoever. As Rogier commented, he found it amazing that the Golden Order was once so pliable as to willing accept the scholars who looked to the stars, moon, and the primeval current, where other gods who opposed the Greater Will resided. Who else but the Elden Beast itself would decide that such dramatic differences of beliefs could be allowed to co-exist, and not be destroyed like the others (Fire Giants, Dragons)?
The only hole that comes up is that the Elden Beast must have also had a way to become Radagon as a separate being and not literally have to use Marika's body to do so every time. Radagon left Rennala and returned to the capital to become Second Elden Lord after Godfrey had his grace taken by Marika and was banished to fight and die outside the Lands Between, as part of her very complicated plot to understand the entirety of the Order and the Greater Will, and to not be an absolute slave to it, nor allow all the people of the Lands Between to be slave to it as well. Radagon/Elden Beast knew what she had done and returned home to be her consort because who else could be trusted in the position of Elden Lord but the Elden Beast itself? Marika already did something as wildly unpredictable as letting Godfrey and his warriors become Tarnished and now exist outside the laws of the Order, what else would she do? For all of this to make sense, Radagon must had a separate body and was physically at Raya Lucaria while Marika did what she did to the now Tarnished.

This fight would be so good if you had Torrent. But I guess they were worried that people summon for Radagon and not realize they could use Torrent if they didn't.

I cannot believe how much I relied on Lord's Divine Fortification. It made the grab attack do around 200 damage. It could have also been that I was spamming my buttons to get out of it faster. BUT HOLY ****, DID I DEPEND ON LORD'S DIVINE FORTIFICATION.

This boss was a huge missed opportunity imo. It would be awesome if either, they didnt make you re-fight Radagon every time, the boss arena was smaller, or they allowed Torrent. Ideally, Torrent would have been the best option since it seems like it would make the fight a lot more interesting - then they wouldn't have to change a thing, it would all be fair and really cool getting to use the horse for the final boss. Hopping over all the blast attacks would be awesome! Doing this on foot is more of a patience test than anything - the arena is too big to have the boss fleeing every 5 seconds and restart the running over there, dodging all the bs one shots, all to get 2 more hits in before the cycle repeats.. its such a burnout

seems an update changed this boss to be a fleeing coward at half health. i spent 10 minutes chasing it around the boss room doing no damage because it dips under the level and flies away before you can get close enough to hit it. what's the new meta?

Fun fact: if you kill him when he's mid-flight, he just teleports to the ground and does the dying animation. The Black Blade incantation is a good closer (and starter) against this guy.

Visually striking and all but still a complete rip off of Princess Mononoke's forest spirit's final form. Not a complaint though.

I ended up using blasphemous blade and spamming the weapon art. I dont feel great about it but fighting this thing with a melee weapon is just tedious.
