I know people use this for the charged one shot blast but don't sleep on the uncharged version. Both dryleaf arts and Dane's footwork have fast attacks and if the enemy attacks out of hit stun, you can legit blender by using this. R2, L2 to tank, R2, L2 again. The enemy will be legit be stun locked while you tank any attack they manage.

After over 1000 hours of play, it feels good to trade with bosses.
"No, I do not have to roll for you!"

essential for a star wars cosplay build. pair with lightning incants+perfume bottles and two bloodflame miladys for UNLIMITED POWER!!!

People saying that it's bad now have no idea what they're talking about. They reduced the "poise" on this ash of war but it has super armor which is effectively infinite poise that applies on top of regular poise, so it functionally did not change at all.

The poise generated by this skill is still insane, not sure what are people complaining about lmao.

The hyperarmor was the one thing this had going for it considering you need 3-5 business days to charge it. great impact and damage but now kinda garbage since you can be interuppted now, why nerf it? If invaders are getting hit by this that is on them because its a really slow attack super telegraphed attack. Grapples are faster than this thing.

it was already garbage before the nerf, now is totally trash, anything can stun you during the charge and does so little poise dmg that landing two heavy attacks is faster and better..
Thanks pvp community, making everything useless for PVE cus in PVP is 'op'

Utterly worthless now after they nerfed the hyperarmor good luck getting one off when everything can stun you out of it why fix what isn't broken.

This has the highest generic Motion Value of any skill in the game at 4.6 times your Attack Power (and yes, this applies to any infusion you apply to the weapon, each element gets a modifier of 4.6 as well) The only skills with higher modifiers are the Cleanrot Spear's Sacred Phalanx, with the holy spears having a MV of 500 times the weapon's Holy Attack Power, and the Sword of Night and Flame's Stance, with the sweeping flame Heavy Attack having a MV of 8 times the weapon's Fire Attack Power.

As far as I can tell the AOE part of the blast inherits whatever infusion you have on the weapon itself. Status buildup isnt increased in the blast but elemental infusions like lightning or fire will apply to the blast.

Anybody know if the AoW itself will deal the split damage of an element-infused fist, or only physical? Like if you make it Sacred, will the blast deal the weapons Physical and Sacred damage, or only physical?
I only ask because of all the AoW that only take the elemental scaling damage into account

Wow, exactly the kind of AoW I've been wanting for Fist weapons. A big chargeable attack that can hit multiple enemies and doesn't have an innate element and look absolutely absurd like Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker. But it can't be equipped on Fist weapons.
Thanks Fromsoft.

hot take: this is better than Dryleaf Whirlwind. the latter is just damage, while this gives you something that hand-to-hand weapons lack: hyperarmor

in pve it has a lot of poise maybe, but in pvp 1 slash from a one handed sword interrupts the attack. oh well...

one-way ticket to ds1 havel poise with insane damage + knockback

This skill can knock down enemies you wouldn't normally be able to. Neither Stamp Upper Cut/Giant Hunt nor Gavel of Haima/Lion's Claw can knock over Leonine Misgotten. A charged Palm Blast will put that sucker on his ass, which opens 'im up for another charged Palm Blast. Very cool stuff.

The only thing that knocked my skill was the second Godrick earthquake.
This one will make even Havel the Rock jealous of your poise.

This thing has levels of hyperarmor nearly (if not totally) on par with Lion's Claw. After hours of using it, the only enemy that knocked me out of it was Commander Gaius's boar charge. Full combos from the Fire Knights were unable to knock me out of it. Greathammers and greatbows also failed. The explosions from ulcerated tree spirits also failed.

i two shot every phase of the Scadu Tree Avatar on NG+2 with this.
Put Quality enchantment on it and went str/dex with only golden vow buffed.
Hits for 9k :3

This thing single-handedly won me my fight with the Putrescent Night dealing upwards of 3000 - 5000 damage on 70 int with magic infusion.
- Anonymous
Holy **** why does this thing let you just poise through Greathammer attacks while charging? Seems to give roughly 25% damage negation during its animation as well, and doing an absolutely insane amount of damage.

I'd be lying if I didn't say this thing didn't carry me through a lot of the bs bosses in the game, even helps with the two shot small fry

It's excellent for a faith caster into use with Crucible Tail/Horn setups and followups.

the endure in this thing will tank through ANYTHING trust me

This is strong. You get hyper armor (and I think reduced damage taken), does huge damage AND poise damage, has decent range, will do turn 180 degrees to face enemies you're locked on to, is AoE (though the AoE is not massive tbh), and is not very expensive.
It is also chargeable so you can get bonus damage from Godfrey Icon. The uncharged version still does decent damage, but charge it up and use Shard of Alexander and enjoy yourself.
