Locations in Elden Ring are vast and interconnected. The world of Elden Ring is a persistent Map that can be traversed without loading screens. There are vast landscapes in between the “dungeon-esque” areas. The larger world scale allows for freedom, promotes exploration, and introduces new and exciting mechanics, such as Horse Riding and Mounted Combat. There are no towns and villagers, as the world has collapsed due to the Shattering, but many NPCs and merchants can be found scattered throughout the world. There are plenty of ruins, dungeons and exploration hubs.

This page contains a full list of all the locations in the game where players will encounter various enemies, bosses, NPCs, and various events as they progress throughout the game. Locations are divided into Regions, Sub-Regions and Sub-Locations, so make sure to reference our Maps and Interactive Map often when playing. You can find the full list of all the Locations featured in Elden Ring below. For guides, tips, and tricks on locations.

No idea where this is supposed to go, but it needs to be said:

Enemies hiding behind corners is a massively overdone trope in ER. Pretty much every location above has a blind corner with an enemy hiding around it, programmed to go for you the instant you cross an invisible line (and is frozen to the spot until you do, so can't be lured out with any of the things supposed to do exactly that). The occasional 'situational awareness check' for over-confident explorers is par for the course in a game that's all about exploration and risk vs reward, but when every other doorway is rigged with either enemies or other nonsense mousetrap, it becomes completely expected and just another nuisance to deal with on your way through the place.

Same deal for open walkways, exposed ridges, places with lethal drops on one or both sides, things hiding behind walls / on the ceiling / in the shadows / underwater etc. - within the first couple hours of playing you learn not to trust anywhere and spend the rest of the game trying to get the camera around the corner / behind the wall etc. before you go any further yourself (and we all know how much the camera loves to play along with actually showing you what you want to see). The whole 'everything's a trap' shtick got very old, very quickly IMO. It really doesn't add anything to dungeon design if you end up able to guess, with depressing accuracy, where the enemies / traps are long before you ever see them.

Now the dust has settled I think this game had too much in it and a lot of the fat could have been trimmed.

I wish less time was spent on the dungeons and caves and more was spent on the main areas which mostly fall flat when compared to DS3 and Sekiro level design and enemy placement

Elden Ring has one of the most beautiful and intricately designed areas in game history,
I am sure a team of dedicated people spent days, weeks, maybe even months working on them
too bad everybody literally ignores all of it lol

Honestly I think they overdid it with the locations this time around, Elden Ring really runs the thin line of being bloated with unnecessary content

Times have changed man, I’m just not into this. So many items, so many places. The things you gotta have and do if you wanna defeat enemies.

It’s such a commitment. Like your whole life is in this game. Strange stuff

this page seriously needs some updates, at least on the gallery section. there's well over 70% of the locations in this game missing on this page

I've found another location, Sage's Cave, in the north east corner of the water pool found near Abandoned Coffin. It's filled with skeletons, illusory walls, and a ton of treasure chests (I didn't check the map until I was nearly done with the cave so can't list it all) including the Raptor's Armour Set and Raptor Talons Weapon.

Idk how to edit pages but there is a second (or first found) Artist's Shack, site of grace located east of Murkwater Coast before the cliffside.

Missing Gaol Cave, just northeast of Fort Gael in the scarlet rot pit behind the rot spewing flowers. Needs 2 stone keys to access

I would like to add a Location, Cathedral of the Forsaken, you get to it through the sewers in the capital city. Once you find the "underside bonfire" I believe is what it is called, it is the main bonfire in the sewers. You need to unlock the door directly across from the bonfire. Go up the ladder that you had to kick down and jump into the hole in the sewer pipe. Go straight, take first left, then fall in a hole. Once you do this follow the path, it will take you to an elevator and the cathedral will be there.

60 hours in the game and I still don't know the name of any location

I remember the first time I entered the undead parish, lothric castle, yharnam and even the ashina castle but in this game I haven't seen any iconic location of course there are so many beautiful locations but all of them lacking atmosphere and also the hub area is so annoying and unimportant and the blacksmith literally only has one dialogue and the npcs are so terrible and boring and very dull npcs like solaire, gerirat, tarkus, orbeck and onion knights were ****ing legendary but in this game npcs are just terrible

And in the open world there is a grace checkpoint every 5 meters but when you enter a maze like castle with hundreds of trash mob they only give you one checkpoint

Sorry for my possible bad english and ranting I just wanted to get it off my chest

How do I add items on the map? There is a Golden Seed east of Cathedral Dragon Communion in Caelid on the small roads towards Impassable Greatbridge.

                                                  • Anonymous

West/Slight Southwest of LASKYAR RUINS you will find LAKESIDE CRYSTAL CAVE this will lead into SLUMBERING WOLF'S SHACK location and Site of grace with the same name.

                                                    • Anonymous

lakeside crystal cave in Liurnia has a bloodhound knight boss and he drops a Cerulean Amber medallion that increases FP. going through the cave gets you to the Slumbering wolf shack Site of grace with an NPC there who says " I told the all-hearing brute already. That I possess no such medallion. Or have you come to take more from me? Was my other half not enough?" its probably a quest.

Lakeside crystal cave directly south of the Scenic isle Site of grace

Still no Deatbird? You access the boss by going to a ruin surounded by giants at night time in Stormhill i believe. It was one of the first ones i found.

my friend found an underground map.
You can get there by grabbing the hero's gargoyle in Nokron and interacting with the hidden sarcophagus.
What is the name of the region Deep Root? I don't know what to say because it's Korea.
